History

Established in 1994.

Bougainvillea Growers International (BGI) began with 5 acres and a vision. In 2011 BGI had over 100 acres and was the largest bougainvillea grower in the Southeastern United States. In 2012 we saw something missing in the plant food aisle and pivoted to producing high quality, high performance specialty plant foods. Combining decades of trial and error formula development of commercial growers and years of research by land grant universities BGI has packaged tested and proven species specific blends for the homeowner. BGI believes everyone should be using what the professionals do.
