This place was awful. Lets keep this short. We googled for dog friendly wineries. Frenchie Winery came up first and from the website, it looked like a great place to go relax with our dog and have some yummy wine. NOT the case. The website paints this ‘dog friendly’ picture for you, only to provide a kennel to put your dog in. Their is not a dog friendly tasting area at all. AND to make things even worse!!! The ladies told us to put our pup, Rex in the Frenchie Winery area(a fenced in small area filled with rocks) and to enjoy the tastings. I had an un-easy feeling, but drove a long way and trusted the winery. About 15 minutes later the girl from the front comes walking in with a smile on her face that our dog had gotten out. Are you kidding me!!! I freaked out as any dog owner would, and ran out the door looking for him. Thankfully he was roaming the vineyard looking for us and came quickly when he heard us. BUT, they have no idea how he got out. The women doing the tastings just shrugged their shoulders and, ‘oh, well sometimes we have cameras to watch the dogs.‘ Our dog is a part of our family. He means the world to us, and this place mislead us to believe it was safe. What did the Manager want to give us to make us feel better as I am crying hysterically because I almost just lost my dog? He said we didn’t need to pay for our tasting, oh and we could have bottle of wine to go. uhhh, no thanks. Don’t define yourself as being dog friendly, when you are clearly not!!!

What a lame gimmick, there’s no tasting at frenchie, rather u have to leave your dog there and go to Raymond where it says no dogs allowed. We won’t be back.

Dog friendly tasting room in the garden area at Raymond Unique places to take photo ops of your dog too. Fun to see — even if your dog is not with you…

It’s nice to be able to take the dog up to Napa for a nice day trip. There is an outdoor kennel area that has wine barrel dog beds(labeled with various historical«frenchie» figures), but it was really hot out when we went. Dogs were welcome inside the tasting room, and that was great because it was nice and air conditioned. My dog was treated to an organic dog treat and we sampled the two frenchie wines. I preferred the Louis XIV wine. I hope this gets other wineries to have a similar set up. The staff was great, and, of course, I got several bottles of each frenchie win.

Finally — a winery that caters to me! Ok, well 4-legged best friends, in general, that is. Frenchie Winery is located in beautiful and fun Raymond Vineyards, run by Frenchie the French Bulldog. My little brother Moose and I relaxed in wine barrel dog beds in their fabulous dog lounge.(I wanted to laze around in the one entitled ‘Marie Antoinette, but Mommy put me in ‘George Washington’ — I think Mommy lost her head at that point.) Meanwhile, Mommy savored his Cabs in the tasting room, watching us on doggie cam.(I looked cuter than Moose on camera, FYI). Mommy loved Frenchie’s Cabs and said they donate $ 1 of each to the ASPCA to help rescue dogs like me! Hooray. Great wine(according to Mommy, I got water), beautiful views, soooo dog friendly! Can’t get better than that. AND as we were leaving past the goats, it looks like one fell in love with Moose — how great is that.
