MY NAME IS MIKE.

I am a husband, father, grandfather, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. I am also the founder of Steps Recovery Centers. Several years ago, a close friend of mine pulled me aside and told me I was going to lose everything that was important to me if I didn’t stop drinking. I knew he was right. Other people had told me the same thing but for some reason, this time I believed it.

I was living in a personal hell of my own creation, but my ‘addict brain’ told me that there was no problem at all, that I could quit whenever I wanted to. I just didn’t want to. And even though my behaviors were hurting

My friend said to me, «Mike, you’re going to lose everything important to you if you don’t stop drinking.» I knew he was right.
