St. George Temple Visitors’ Center

Really great visitors’ center. Super helpful missionaries guide you through various rooms with videos and brief discussions to tell you about the religion. This is done in good taste and kindness with respect.
The center is right next to the temple, and you can wander around the grounds and visit the center without being a member of the LDS Church.
If you have any questions about Mormons, or just the history of St. George, I would highly recommend coming by.

Let me start with the fact that I am not Mormon. That being said, the reason for my stopping here is that my Grandparents were married here in the 1930’s. So for them, this is a very important place, and I wanted to be a part of that.
The Temple is beautiful, and the grounds are peaceful and serene. I am glad that we stopped in to the Visitor’s Center. A Missionary from Idaho spoke to us for about 10 minutes about how the Temple came to be in this location, and how it was built. He was very informative, and very kind. I learned a lot. It took 18 months just to make the foundation strong enough to build the Temple. The entire building is made of red sandstone, with plaster on top. It is re-​painted in that bright white every 8 years, as well as power washed in between this time.
I glad that I stopped to see this.

Always a great place to feel of God’s love for you. Plan on spending twice as much time, you won’t want to leave.

Although I am not a member of the church the temple is quite a marvel. The perfect white plaster is a stark contrast to the blue sky. The people inside the visitor’s center were helpful and welcoming. We did not feel pressured to join the church but they made sure that we did receive information on their beliefs before we left.
If you have 30 minutes to spare go and visit. The temple campus is pristine. A nice little visit that costs nothing.

The LDS temple in St. George is an immaculate building. I am not LDS therefore I have never been inside, but from the outside it is stunning. The grounds are beautiful and well-​kept. The visitors center is free and open to everyone. I enjoyed learning more about the Mormon religion. I watched a video and looked at the art/​historical exhibits. The visitors center is run by missionaries. The missionaries are all very friendly and are not at all pushy about putting religion on you. I had an excellent trip here and learned a lot! If you are ever visiting St. George, you should definitely pop in!
