The food was quite good and the portion sizes were quite good. We ordered the two taco(one fish, one shreffen beef) plate, two(chicken) enchiladas, and three tacos(beef, pork, chicken).

Gas station Mexican food? In this case, heck yes! Any hesitation I had about this place is g.o.n.e. We had the shrimp cocktail — chopped vegetables, copious shrimp and a delicious tomato-y broth. The ham omelette was bueno and the carnitas mini tacos were savory, cheesy perfection! Do yourself a favor — stop here!

We love this place. We visit at least once or twice every time we stop in town. We had breakfast here this morning. We had a salsa burrito and a machaca burrito, and they were perfection, for about $ 9. Big, flavorful, fast, and filling. We usually do burritos for lunch or dinner, chicken or asada.

I am from southern California and miss good Mexican food so much. This place is great! Their veggie burrito is the best! Beans, rice, guacamole, salsa fresca, and lettuce. I might have them add bell peppers next time, but it is perfect as is.

Authentic Mexican food, affordable prices. Has been my favorite spot for Mexican Food in St George for a number of years. Although the cost for a meal is low, the food beats out the many high priced Mexican food offerings in So. Utah. Yummm P. S. Try the breakfast burritos, they serve them all day.

Love this place! We always get the small tacos and chicken bacon burritos with the house made salsa so amazing!

Decent tacos but service was below par. Got a couple tacos now I’m headed to a different place to eat.

Hurrah for Unilocal! Were it not for Unilocal we would never have tried this great little restaurant. We visited in a Friday evening and the place was busy but the service was responsive and quick. I enjoyed a combination Plate and found the quality to be excellent and the flavors varied and rich. We return a couple of days later and tried the Relleno. Again, excellent. Their chips and salsa are wonderful and the guacamole with chips: some of the best I’ve tasted.

A local told us about Jalapeño’s so we thought we would give it a try. I saw it was connected to a gas station. Thought oh boy… I had the best street taco’s. Only thing is you would have to buy chips and salsa. We did without. My spouse really enjoyed the meal too. So worth trying it. Super nice people who work there. I had carnita’s btw and YUMMY…

Great food great service One of our new favorite places in St. George. Don’t be fooled as it’s attached to a Maverick gas station these guys make incredibly delicious Mexican food. Being a fan of carnitas that’s how I usually judge the restaurant and I rank Jalapeños as one of the all-time best. All he ingredients from the tortillas to the salsa bar are all authentic and freshly prepared. I haven’t tried there Mexican breakfast yet but indefinitely will in the near future. If you’re in St. George you really need to Jalapeños when you crave authentic Mexican food.

Best part of Unilocal is finding great little dives like this. Fed the whole family of 5 to the brink of stuffed for $ 36. Everyone in the fam loves carne asada so that’s what we ended up with. 3 of us with burritos(huge), one carne asada quesadilla, and 3 tacos. Oh and 3 taquitos just in case. The free chips were the hottest chips I’ve ever been served. Good and tasty. The salsas were homemade and delish. Not much room to sit when 2 large Mexican families are there but we squeezed into a couple of small tables. I’d recommend this place for anyone wanting some legit Mexican and don’t mind it being attached to a convenience store.

Small. The employees didn’t really seem to care about taking our order or getting it out to us. The toppings in the burrito were not evenly dispersed… half the burrito was straight meat and the other half straight potatoes and cheese. Also, the beef really wasn’t that flavorful. I felt it was an okay place to eat. But I’ve had better at about the same price.

Visiting St. George I noticed many restaurants are closed on Sundays, so I used Unilocal to help me find Mexican tacos. When I called to get the cross street the lady seem to not understand what I was asking but once I found the place at a gas station I was happy they had a drive thru window. The lady was nice and the food I ordered(tacos and bean tostada) was fairly good with well seasoned meat and green salsa is really good. If in the area again I’d certainly come back for tacos.

I’ve eaten her for several years. My mexican food experience is from Ca. This place is one of two places I will eat in Mormon Country. I love this place and have had only exceptional service and the food is consistently fantastic! It’s fast food, no glamour, but who cares when the food is fantastic and always top notch.

For years and years Alberto’s was the Breakfast Burrito King in town. Now Jalapeños is the place! for less than $ 4, you can have a massive, delicious, egg, tater, bean, and sausage burrito that will satisfy your hanger all day. They serve breakfast all day too which is great. Jalapeños is attached to the Mira Monte Sinclair gas station on North Bluff Street. They are separated by a wall and have separate entrances so you don’t have to wonder what you’re life has come to as you drink your horchata alone in a gas station. They have a second location on 700 South attached to a Texaco station just East of 700 East.

I’ve only had the bacon breakfast burrito and it was pretty awesome. The hot sauce was pretty weak though. Super nice staff that was fast and helpful.

Straight up the best Mexican food I’ve had in ages. I have only been to a few mex places in sg and they all put me to sleep. This place has to easily be the best in this town. I’ll go out even farther and say its as good or better than any mex in Vegas too. There are few if any really greAt Mexican restraints in Vegas so I always stop here when passing though sg now. The weakest items here are the rice and the salsa bar. Not that hot. Also they don’t offer chips. Best thigs are the enchilada, burritos are amazing, they have great little sides of greens, carne Asada is primo, chicken is A+ Cheap, not super fast, but why hurry, but absolutely awesome.

I stopped here for lunch and was surprisingly pleased. Finding acceptable Mexican food in Utah hasn’t been easy for me so far. Lupita’s in Cedar City is the only place I have found that was good until I discovered Jalapeño’s. It’s in the same building as sinclair and has a drive thru. It took a minute for my food but it was made fresh so it was worth it. I had a carne asada burrito and asked for the potatoes to be left off. They forgot to leave off the potatoes so I ate some and picked off the rest. The burrito was otherwise legit and actually damn good. The prices are reasonable, the food tastes good, and the drive thru never hurts.

Jalapeño’s is attached to a Sinclair gas station, but they have a door inside separating the 2 places from each other as well a front entrance to themselves. They also have a drive-thru so it’s set up nicely. Inside is clean and the employees are friendly. The menu here is big and offers tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, enchiladas, etc. They have a free salsa bar and fresh veggies at the front counter. I ordered the mini«Adobada Tacos» priced at $ 4.25 and it came with 3 of them. They had a nice flavor to them. The amount of meat was fair for the price and the tacos had the right amount of cilantro and onions. I just wish the guacamole flavor stood out, I noticed it on my tacos however didn’t taste it. I’d like to come back and try other things on the menu, but it’s nice to know I have found a good spot in St George for adobada tacos.

A simple cafeteria focused on good food. Inside of the Sinclair gas station complex on Bluff. $ 4 will get you a delicious burrito or Torta.
