WARNING! DO NOT, I repeat — DO NOT — go to this dealership with any kind of «scratch for cash» winning lotto-​type ticket thinking you won money! It is a SHAM and totally DECEPTIVE!
Basically, this sham is very disingenuous and is obviously meant to dupe people into getting them into the dealership to «claim a cash prize» in order to then attempt to sell them a car.
Now of course we know all car dealerships, similar to «time-​share» outfits — pull general advertisement stunts like this to help drum up business — come on in for your prize for a test-​drive, or to sit thru one of our time-​share presentations, etc. Everybody technically is a winner, but few if anybody really win anything of any real substance — and if you DO, there is usually tons of red tape and conditions surrounding it!
This scheme here — using what to many looks like scratch off lottery tickets (where even the fine print is worded deceptively) — about takes the cake!
Let me just cut right to the chase — Nobody is going to give you $ 750 cash up front, or in «45 days mailed», to simply walk into a car dealership and do nothing more and leave 5 minutes later.
* Yes, for those wondering: YES, we even read through the «fine print» — literally about 35 times, over and over. As ludicrous as this sounds, it seems even the fine print requires fine print. By wording alone, it SEEMS LEGIT. But then, obviously — it will come down to the interpretation of what the word «is​.is.» What it IS is incredibly disingenuous.
The fine print even clearly states no purchase, no donation, or no test drive necessary. Any way you read or decipher the fine print, it clearly says in plain English language that «if you get 3 scratch off numbers in a row, you WON that amount.»
However — everybody who gets one of these lottery scratch cards probably «wins» or thinks they won by seeing 3 numbers in a row ie. $ 750. Even though the fine print lends you to STILL believe you’ve won, it really just means you (and the 10k other people these scams were mailed to) are now entered for a «chance» to win $ 750, and in reality, you’ve won 3 $ 1 scratch-​off lotto tickets for coming in — which you can get at any gas station or grocery store without having to have somebody stand in front of you for an hour to try to sell you a car. One last mind-​game: The fine print also clearly states «non-​winners are given 3 $ 1 lotto tickets as a consolation prize.» What constitutes a non-​winner? Somebody who didn’t get three numbers in a row??? It totally seems to underscore yet again those who match 3 numbers WIN SOME MONEY. It is totally misleading and dubious!
Of course, this company’s only real objective is to get you into the dealer to try and sell you a used car.
If you want to check this place out because you are genuinely interested in buying a used car, by all means go ahead. DO NOT COME HERE THOUGH THINKING YOU ‘WON’ ANY KIND OF CASH MONEY PRIZE.
Total shyster act, bait-​and-​switch act, and downright deceptive ploy. Please do not fall for it!
