After my first post about a lackluster«Big Nasty» the company contacted me and offered a gift certificate to try it again, that there must have been some mistake. I refused the gift certificate because I wanted to let them know I wrote because I was disappointed, not looking for a free lunch. I did return a couple of weeks later(because someone else invited me) and tried the New Yorker. It was exactly what I thought it should have been. Large and stuffed full of tasty meat! So in fairness I am updating my post to say that I do miss the desserts from the past, but everything else is worth the trip.

Cashiers were not not friendly or welcoming. Service was extremely slow. I normally enjoy McAlisters, but I would avoid this location at all costs. There was a funky smell when we walked in. Just say no and go the other way.

The potatoes are really good here and the sandwiches. The kids menu items don’t taste very good, but it is a kid friendly environment and the service is relatively quick. I would maybe go back in a pinch.

McAlister’s is one of my top chain restaurants when I visit Missouri. Their sweet tea is on point. I can drink 2 – 3 glasses easily. I also love almost anything I try on their menu and what’s best thought is your can choose 2 and get a cup of any soup with any salad, soup, starter or sandwich. I love not choosing just one. They have really good sides like potato salad, cole slaw and mac and cheese. My favorite spud is the spud max which turkey, olives, bacon, cheese, green onions and sour cream. I usually get half of one so I don’t feel super bad for eating an entire one.(I have before though… Shh… don’t tell anyone). Sandwich favs: Reuben, Melts, Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar, Sweet Chipotle Chicken(probably my ultimate favorite) Chicken grilled cesar wrap is really good as well. This location has plenty of parking it also is super busy every time I’ve been in here. Our food took 30 minutes however management apologized for wait because there was a bus load of girls that showed up. It’s understandable and I was happy with an apology.

Miserable experience at McAllister’s Deli today. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our lunch today and we were some of the lucky ones. It was a complete cluster. Any reputable establishment would have served refunds(or at least a coupon for next time… SOMETHING) with their food after such a miserable experience. The only thing the manager offered was apologies and the ability to cancel your order in exchange for a refund. What’s worse is that the restaurant KNEW they were slammed and KNEW that the wait would be insane. But did they warn their customers when they walked in the door? Heck no, they just kept on taking orders that they knew they couldn’t fill in any reasonable timeframe.

One of the best quality sandwich places I’ve ever been. They also offer some more unique items like veggie chili and giant spuds. Been many times and everything I’ve had has been really good.

I have been to this location a number of times and this time I got take out. The Big Nasty and Ultimate Nachos. McAlister’s did a nice job in packaging all the components so that they were still warm when I got home and could be assembled together. I’ve never had a bad meal there and always receive good service. Highly recommend.

Muffaletta sandwich was great. It came with one side and I chose the cole slaw, which was a traditional creamy one. Sandwich was hot and the slaw was cold, just as it should be. You walk up to a counter to order and pay and they give you a number to take back to your table. It did take about 10 minutes for the meal to come out but the server was very friendly. He also came around to check on us mid-meal. I would definitely return again if I lived in the area.

The sandwiches are pretty good. In my opinion the sides are lacking and the gravy on the mashed potatoes is waaaay too salty. I have had good and not so good experiences here but I live nearby so it is convenient. My biggest complaint is a safety issue– The 2 parking lot lights in front have been burned out for well over a year and it is dark out there at night. I realize that they lease their retail space and are not responsible for maintaining outdoor lighting but I am pretty sure the property management co. would get this fixed if they were notified.

After St. Louis Bread Company decided to give themselves a big raise at our expense we’ve come to appreciate McAlister’s excellent menu items and(still) reasonable prices. I’m a big fan of the New Yorker piled high with corned beef and pastrami and my wife loves the bionic baked potato.

Always great food & sweet tea, especially the french dip, broccoli soup, & mashed potatoes! I was in there around 7pm on a Saturday, well before close, and all three staff members seemed to think of me as a NUISANCE. For the price of this food, I would like to think a chipper attitude and welcoming atmosphere would be at the managers top of the IMPORTANCE list.

This is a great place to go for a quick meal. The spuds are very good, the salads are good, tea sweet or unsweet is good, and they have the best fire roasted vegetable soup.

Obviously, you gotta get the sweet tea if you come here. I love the southwest turkey melt. The spuds, sandwiches, salads… You can’t go wrong here. Their mac and cheese is pretty dang good too. Blues City Deli is my all time favorite sandwich place, but if I can’t drive all the way into the city for a sandwich, this is my spot.

For a chain deli this place is very good. Service is helpful and friendly. The sandwiches and salad are nicely prepared, not thrown together. It’s a little on the expensive side for a chain but the salads and sandwiches are a good size and worth the money.

First time trying this chain. Decent enough and prices seemed reasonable. Sunday afternoon church crowd but that’s to be expected in the Midwest. I just find it hard to get excited about sandwiches. I can make those at home with little effort.

I LOVEMCALISTER’S! Every location I have been to is always superb! The tea is as close to real southern sweet tea as you can get in the midwest! makes me miss Texas! Try the mcalister’s club and make sure you get sweet tea!

Just a really solid place for a sandwich. The muffaletta is very good, not the absolute best I’ve ever had but very very good. I love their mac and cheese, and as has been mentioned in other reviews their sweet tea is great. Their service is always great and everyone is very friendly. When it’s really busy it can be a bit of a wait for a refill since the drink stations are behind the counter but there’s usually employees walking around making sure drinks are topped off. I don’t get here very often but I always like when I do.

The sandwiches here were definitely top notch. It’s about the closest place that you can come across to Colorado that has sweet tea. It was a great place to grab food and enjoy company. You guys need to make one of these in Denver!

Awesome sandwiches! Our foodie friend took us here and boy was he right! Great sandwichs(he said the potatoes are great too), the service was very nice and helpful as the selection is HUGE. Had the chicken pesto panini(and as it turns out so did all of us) and seriously an amazing panini. Can’t wait to go back!
