I am very happy with Johnson Water. I had an issue with calcium ruining my appliances and had a few companies out including Angel Water, Culligan, and Johnson Water. I am on city water. Both angel water and Culligan told me without testing my water that I had bacteria and quoted me thousands of dollars for a bacteria removing unit. When I called Johnson water, I was immediately put through to Greg, the owners son and one of the managers. After telling him what I was dealing with, he immediately set an appointment to come out, test my water, and give me a quote. He was very prompt, coming out the same day. After doing a water analysis and showing me how to look for bacteria, which I do not have, he quoted me a water softener. The price was very reasonable. I asked him a bunch of questions, and he educated me. He was very professional. I made a decision to go with Johnson Water, and within 2 days, they came to install the water softener. The two guys who came to my house were very polite and thorough. The job looked perfect. Johnson Water did a great job overall and my water is perfect.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Johnson Water Conditioning. Jason came out to my home and was very knowledgable and professional. Not knowing a thing about being on well and septic (I recently moved from city water and sewer), Jason took the time to explain things and recommend exactly what I needed. The installation was great (I actually went back to work while the guys did the install) that is how confident I felt in this company. When other issues arose in my new (old) house and another service provider needed to put the water softener on bypass (no fault of Johnson’s) and I was having difficulty resetting it, the office sent Jason out at no additional cost to help me out! I would not hesitate to refer friends and family to this great company. Jason was awesome!

Greg picked the time to come out to my house to give me an estimate.
Greg did not arrive at scheduled time. 30 minutes after his scheduled time, I called the office. Person who answered said she would call me back after checking with Greg. Woman called back and said Greg said appointment was actually half hour after agreed upon time but he was on hs way and would be there is 25 minutes. An 1:40 minutes later still no Greg. I called the office– woman says «He didn’t call you??». Greg completely blew off appointment and didn’t bother to call.
I have no estimate and one less vacation day. Stay away.

Had softener installed 3 yrs ago. Had three service calls for the same problem within a month. Problem was resin was coming out with the discharge water. First service man made an adjustment. Second service man said it was bad salt brand but I was using the same brand they recommended. Changed his story to needs adjustment. Third service man said it needed a replacement part which he installed. Resin started coming out again two weeks ago. Service man came out and said it was overfilled at the factory. So now I had to pay a $ 97.00 service call for something that was wrong from the factory all along. No one from office would return my call even though I paid the service charge. I only wanted to know if they thought it was fair to send out a faulty product and expect a senior citizen to pay the service charge. Didn’t even offer their advertised senior citizen discount. How did they ever get on Angies List. This is the office in Villa Park, Illinois

Found Johnson with a Unilocal search after getting 3 estimates from the other highly recommended suburban local providers and found Johnson had not only a MUCH better price for our Iron filter & water softener but also liked everyone we dealt with much better. Awesome install job by Norm, the plumbing and fittings are very slick and he was very nice and patient with us. I saved over 1000 $ on the same quality product thank the Unilocal gods (yikes), I usually only invoke to find good food…

I was referred by my brother to Johnson Water Conditioning. Both the units and service has been exceptional. I’ve read horror stories about the big chains installing used units, but not Johnson. They’re very competitive and do great work!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Johnson Water Conditioning and it was remarkable to see such excellent customer service from the start. I has severe issues with bad smells, horrible tasting water and discoloration. Lucky for me — I called the right place — Johnson Water! Jason came out and accessed the problem and got me on the right track. I had new equipment installed within the week by another wonderful employee — Norm.
I cannot tell you how pleased I was at the way I was treated!

This family owned business is a true pleasure to deal with. When I called, the owner Greg answered the phone. We had a long discusion reguarding My water problems. Ihad hard rusty water. He suggested what turned out to be the perfect solution. A self cleaning iron filter followed by a on demand water softener.
I have had this system for over a year with no problems. We also use much less salt
with this new system. As for the Installer sent out. I have not met a more courteous, clean working, knoledgable young plumber in my life.
I whole hartedly recommend Johnson Water Conditioning. If you have any water quality issues

I have been using their equipment for 3 years, since I moved into my current house. I own part of the system and rent the other part. They have excellent customer service and have always been very prompt in fixing any issues that I have.
Last week I had them out to check my system, and they came out right away to look at it. Then they were able to come out quickly to replace the parts that needed replaced. They were prompt in their arrival, they cleaned up before they left, and they were very polite. I really appreciate their service and their ability to work with my schedule.

I was in Streamwood trying to get a softener and RO system installed for my family member. A rep first came out to do a thorough check of the water quality and plumbing lines. They weren’t pushy at all and were very honest about making sure I only get what I actually need.
We ended up getting both a softener and RO system and were setup pretty quickly. I was very happy with the installation process and the results. The family actually drinks the water now rather than loading up on bottled water.
Highly recommend them over any other big names out there. I checked with home depot and was quoted $ 5000 for just the softener!
