Love this place. Cannot ask for a better selection of wine and beer, at super low prices. Quickly becoming one of my favorite places.

Incredible selection of wine AND beer. Very helpful staff. I wish they had a larger selection of cold beer but it probably keeps costs down.

Good wine/​beer selections but very lousy attitude. I have been shopping there for quite a while but never felt my business was appreciated. So many times I finished checking out without being greeted and/​or offered a thank you/​have a nice day. I now shop elsewhere and may be paying more but at least i don’t have to deal with bad attitudes.

This place used to be great years ago. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Not so much since they moved across the street to a bigger location. Employees no longer wear the Total Wine vest so you cannot tell who works there. No one offers to help anymore and the few times I have needed help, the staff have been inept. I asked for Chang beer which is a brew from Thailand and the guy kept pointing me to Tsingtao. The way the store is set up has also become harder to navigate.
Many of my favorite beers and wines are constantly out of stock. I have sometimes found someone who would help get me a 6 pack out of the storeroom, but most of the time no one can be bothered. Cashiers are hit and miss.
I am going to have to find a wine/​beer store online or another Total Wine at a different location. I am a big spender at this place, but lately it has really been an awful experience. Maybe the dudebros who come in to buy cases of watery Coors can keep them afloat.

A rep from Total Wine called me today and was very concerned with my complaint and apologized. This is a VERY CLASSY MOVE for a company to do. I really admire a company that is mindful of the customer’s experience and goes above and beyond to track you down and make things right. I truly appreciate the effort.
To be honest, I would have never went back to any Total Wine after my last experience, but this has changed my mind completely. I would say I am certain I will return to a Total Wine location in the future.
They do have an huge selection of great products. I am happy I can go back knowing they care about the customers. I would go out of my way to support a company that goes this far for their customers.

Saturday evening the 3^rd of Oct. I popped into Total Wine in Springfield, VA for a quick second to pick up a six pack of beer and some seltzer. I found what I wanted fast and went to pay. I saw that the register closest to the exit was open so I walked right up. The register was next to what I assumed was a manager kiosk. There were three men there counting cash, going over invoices and looking busy.
I said hello and put my products up on the conveyor belt right in front of the cashier. The cashier did not greet me or say anything to me and didn’t even look at me. She aloud asked to one or maybe all three of the managers: «How do you say unprofessional in Spanish?». She then tried to pronounce the word a number of ways and kept asking: «How do you say unprofessional in Spanish?». The manager did not really answer, but for a few hard to hear mutters.
When she rung the items up, she then stood there, saying nothing to me or looking at me. I asked: «Can I swipe my card?». She said yes, and turned her back to me. She was still in a moronic back and forth with the managers how to say: «How do you say unprofessional in Spanish?».
When my card was approved she put my receipt in my bag and completely turned her back to me to ignore me entirely. She did not hand me my bags, they were left in the bagging area below the register where she once stood. I was stunned at the rudeness of the cashier and the utter indifference of the management only feet away in how a customer was just treated.
I did not give one bit of rudeness to anyone there and did not deserve the treatment I received.
I would not go back and I would tell anyone else the same. There are plenty of other options to get the products Total Beverage sells within a mile of that place all of which treat their customers better, appreciate your business and even have better prices.

They had what I needed, which is good. The people there weren’t very friendly that’s my only knock, so all in all that’s good. I’d come back if the need arises.

I am a loyal customer of the McLean store where I have ordered special release brews online/​picked up within hours. Because I did not see the latest series at the McLean location, I ordered online from the Springfield store and drove to Springfield from Arlington. The employees did not call to say I could only pick up one bottle per customer (had I known this I would have taken my business elsewhere). I drove to the Springfield location after having paid $ 13 online for a 6-​pack, only to leave with 2 bottles (thanks to a friend who was with me). The employees did not review the order and I had to remind them that I was charged for a 6-​pack. The transaction had to be refunded and I was only charged $ 1 for 2 bottles of beer because of a system glitch. I would have happily paid the $ 13 to receive what I had originally placed in my online shopping cart, which is what I’ve done in the past at McLean. I ended up going to Westover Beer Market to purchase 4 individual bottles of the same series (for a heftier price) without any remarks from the staff. I intended to give my money to Total Wine when I hit «submit» and drove out to Springfield but they didn’t want it. The policy at Springfield seems ridiculous especially when you guys are losing out due to a system issue (again, I only paid $ 1 for two bottles of the brew… WTH). I’ll stay in McLean.

Being new to the area, this was the place we bought wine for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have a large family so get togethers are large and we buy quite a lot of wine. A couple of nights ago I went to get some sulfite free wine. When I asked about it I was put in my place. «There is no such thing as sulfite free wines» I was told. I felt like such an idiot. I guess I should have said «no added sulfites wine.» So, although we have been there quite often, our business is going elsewhere. Perhaps Whole Foods, where they have organic «no sulfites added wine.» At least there I am not an idiot.

This is a wine lovers paradise, well for me it is. They got so many wines, obviously but my favorite has to be the Oak Grove Cabernet! They also have a nice cigar selection of your a cigar kinds of person. And what’s also good is that they have so many kinds of beer from different countries which I haven’t tried yet but in time will.

Very clean, pretty well organized (somewhat alphabetized within each subcategory), fully stocked, fair prices, and a wide variety.
Employees met and exceeded my expectations. Shout out to Stephanie for helping me search for particular requests and also suggesting specifics based on her knowledge and expertise. If not for her I likely would have been there for at least another hour, staring blankly at bottles, indecisively.
Also, shout out to Sheila for jumping on the register, quickly and cheerfully remedying my wait time in line. She was very friendly and fast!

Great selections and discounts! Well stocked with lots of options!

They have variety of selection from red to white and from Spain, France, Chile & CA!
I usually go for the really dry White: Alsace Pinot Blanc was highly recommended.
So, if you want wine or need to stock up for a party, Total Wine is the place to go and you can save money.

They have pretty much every wine you can think of and beers I have never heard of. Looking for something, just ask a staff member, they seem to actually enjoy customer service; which is refreshing in this area! I am a big fan.

I’ve been to several Total Wines and by far this one is the worse. The place is a mess, there are empty boxes everywhere and the beer isle is a wreck. The singles isle is limited to other stores. What is there supposed to be there is really picked over. Over half of the selection is empty, the rest is a jumbled mess so you can’t find anything. I’m not from the area so maybe this is the best craft selection in the area so I can’t give you a better choice but why patronize this place?

It’s always fun to venture in here. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Of course me being me, I am always on the hunt for the newest beers, wine, & ciders I encounter.
They have a nice selection, however, the one in landmark is much bigger; Their Cider section is an end cap so it doesn’t carry alot of each item. Their prices are not bad, some things are still cheaper else where.
If you see something you want and they are out or don’t have it they can always order it.
Convenient.

Best selection and attention for miles around

After all of the years I’ve lived in Springfield, I did NOT know that there was a Total Wine here. I’ve been driving all the way to Fairfax or Tyson’s just to pickup my favorite international beers or a bottle (or should I say bottles…) of wine. Thank goodness my boyfriend brought me here the other day because we needed to pickup bottles of wine for a Thanksgiving potluck we were attending, or else I would have never known about it!
There is an overwhelming selection of wine and beer. You can find bottles for as low as $ 5, and there’s absolutely every kind you can think of here, from chianti, bordeaux, sauvignon blanc, moscato, ice wine, pinot noir, chamborcin and from different countries as well! I’m in love with their selection of Asian beers (Tiger and Hitachino Nest White Ale are on my list of top 5 favorite beers) and they also have a great selection of Belgian ales. (and everything else, of course!)
I’ll definitely be visiting this place more often now that I know that I live so close to it…

There’s a TW somewhat in the greater DC area!!! What an awesome discovery! I love love LOVE me some Total Wine.
First, there’s the wine selection. Even better is the tremendous selection of wines under $ 10. Yep, under $ 10. LOTS to choose from. You can fill up your cart so fast here. There’s even awesome wines for as low as $ 4.99. If you like wine, this is the place to shop and stock up.
Second, there’s the incredible beer selection. My fav beers from all across the country and around the world can be found here. Have a fav beer that you can’t find in the normal liquor or grocery stores? You’re almost guaranteed to find here. I literally let out a little squeal when I saw Abita Restoration Ale (my absolute fav). And there is everything from 12+ boxes to individual bottles. I personally love the selection of individual bottles as it’s a great way to try new beers.
This place can be seriously dangerous. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out with less than $ 100 in my cart. But for $ 100, I seriously load up on tons of wine and beer goodness.
So if you are in need of wine or beer, get yourself over here. It’s worth the drive.

The Springfield Total Wine may not be the biggest store in the Total Wine empire, but I always seem to find something worth trying at a fair price. Or more accurately, I never leave the store without buying at least one bottle of vino. The staff is friendly and helpful in suggesting some good wines for whatever situation you’re looking to have wine. On Saturday afternoons, they have tastings. On this particular trip, the GF and I tasted the 2005 Beaucanon Napa Valley Cabernet Franc. It was a very enjoyable wine given the circumstances (i.e. out of a plastic sample cup) with spicy notes and a hint of cocoa. It will be much better out of a wine glass paired with a good piece of red meat! Needless to say we snagged a bottle.
