I often go here for my hair cuts. I also had a formal up do done here recently. I normally go through Alana but anyone of the ladies are wonderful! I also had my makeup done. After two years I have yet to be disappointed by this salon.

We arrived about 10 minutes early for a 10 am appt. after we had been there for about 20 minutes with nothing happening. My wife inquired as to what was going on. It was at this time they told her the massage therapist did not know he had a 10 am client but they had called him and he was on his way. I wonder if they would have ever told us? Marcus showed up at about 1030 and was very sorry about what happened and offered us to continue or reschedule. He was amazing and did great! The staff not so much 1 star for them and 5 for Marcus!

I would definitely NOT recommend this salon. I have been getting my hair highlighted for several years and this was the worst experience I have had. I went in to have my hair highlighted and what has always taken 2 hrs took over 3. Not because they were taking their time on my hair but because they were busy with other appointments and seemed very overbooked. After my stylist, Telisha, finished my highlights, cut and style I thought the color was a little«golden»(I asked for bright white blonde and made sure to specify that I didn’t want a golden hue to it at all, which has never been an issue anywhere else and she assured me it wouldn’t be an issue there either) but I thought it may have been the lighting. The next day I went out of town and then they were closed for a few days for the 4th of July. I called as soon as they reopened on Mon and was told to call back and talk to someone on Tues and they could help me. When I called on Tues I spoke with Tara(maybe Kara). She was extremely rude when I explained that I wasn’t happy with the color and tried to blame me and say that I must’ve not taken proper care of it. I’ve had bright blonde highlights for years and know how to take care of them. When I arrived at my appt the next day I was asked by Telisha if I wanted to try to fix it with a toning shampoo or if we should just try adding a few brighter highlights. She told me that she could see how my hair was more golden and how I would be unhappy. I told her I would rather just add brighter highlights since my hair was so golden. She said that wouldn’t be an issue and she was happy that I came back to have her fix it rather than not coming back again. She then took me back where she was coloring her mother’s hair and told me that she was just going to use the remainder of her mom’s hair color because she already had it and it was the color I needed. I thought this was odd but didn’t question it. Then she put in about 12 extra highlights. After it was washed out the color was better(still not a great job and not the color I like at all but better than the ugly yellow it was before). I noticed she was really busy while she was blow drying my hair and told her that she didn’t really need to straighten it at all since I was just going home and I could see that it was a decent color. She insisted on at least straightening my bangs and since her straightener was off I leaned over so she could run the straightener through my hair with the stylist at the station next to hers straightener. She then told me the charge would be $ 55! I asked her why I was being charged for her to fix a mistake the SHE made with my hair. She told me she had to charge me for the color service because she used the hair color from the salon(even though I got her mom’s leftover hair color) and then had to charge me for a style(since when is a blow dry after coloring someone’s hair a style? It needs to be blow dried to see the color and I told her not to worry about straightening my hair. Apparently her taking it upon herself to straighten my bangs counts as a style? I would’ve actually had it styled if I had known I was going to be charged $ 15). I told her that I have never been to a place that charged to fix a mistake that they made and she then called the owner(Kelly) who told her that it was up to her discretion. She then told me that she wouldn’t charge me for the service but still had to charge me for the«style» since I took up her time. This is just bad business in my mind and horrible quality as well. The salon is dirty(hair and dust everywhere) and the quality of work is terrible and the customer service is definitely sub par. There are too many quality places nearby to waste your time and money at this salon. I paid more there than I have at other salons and had a horrible experience and results. I certainly won’t be back.

I purchased the LivingSocial deal for a face-lift massage and facial, and added on an eye-brow and lip wax. Overall, my experience was great, especially for Springfield standards. The main benefits of my experience included: 1.) Ida gave me the massage and facial and she was FABULOUS. Very warm and professional, and very skilled as well. If you’re ever looking for a relaxing facial with great results, definitely request her! If I go back, which I believe I will, I’ll most certainly request to work with Ida. 2.) Relaxing lighting and music in the space and the products used during the massage smelled amazing. Very natural and calming. 3.) Although I only did waxing, massage, and facial, this place really caters to so many different spa needs from organic spray tans to teeth whitening to hair and nails. Definitely a great place to go for brides, groups, parties, etc. Only a couple of minor negative things I noticed: 1.) I’ve never been to a spa without a «relaxtion room» or similar set-up where you can have a glass of water or sip of tea prior to your treatment though I may not have been offered anything because I had the waxing done prior to the massage, and thus, went straight to the massage from the waxing area. 2.) Speaking of «waxing area,» my eyebrow waxing was done at a sink in the hair salon area. It was out in the open and the technician had to keep walking back and forth to the wax. I’m used to having treatments like this in a private room or at least someplace not so out in the open. The person who did the service did a great job and was very professional which is what matters most but the lack of privacy and the uncomfortable seating situation was definitely a drawback. I probably won’t do waxing there again. I hope they do more Groupon or Livingsocial deals again soon!

I bought the Oasis Salon & Spa Groupon for 2 thermal wrap + galvanic treatment sessions. It was worth it. They are in a large building with multiple other businesses(catering, yoga or something, etc.). The building is under construction. I did not know what is involved with a thermal infrared wrap whatever. I called them a few times to figure out the procedure, what you should do the day of the appointment and what products they use when you get there. Finally, and most embarrassingly, I had to call them to ask them if there was a way around printing out my Groupon for them because my printer broke. There is, by the way. I found them to be kind in all my interactions with them(a 3-sigma departure from the attitude of most spa staff). In the salon side, they had a few counters, complementary beverages, lots of salon equipment, and nice decoration. They mercifully placed the spa across the hallway from the salon. I assume it is to spare spa-goers from acrylic fumes and ammonium thioglycolate. The spa has a nice ambiance. I can tell they put a lot of effort into their space. They also have good customer service and the prices for their salon and spa offerings are reasonable. I would suggest people in the Springfield area give this place a try.
