What a gem in my otherwise divebar hometown. Great thought put into the beer list. As my knowledgeable bartender said…“dude it a respectable list and a gem in the middle of Springfield.”

Awesome beer selection! I love going to Smith’s. The staff is friendly, the food is banging(from Theodore’s), and the pool is cheap. If you’re looking for a nice place for a low key night out, this is it.

Great beer selection. Football table is the best in Springfield and free!

Fun place, good beer selection, plenty of tables, some darts, and even a foosball table. You can also order off of the Theodore’s menu, which is downstairs. Def. a fun place to spend a little time, and reasonable rates.

This place has Brunswick tables, very nice and open, they have shuffle board or whatever it’s called, aand the thing is, they have a superb selection of craft brew beer, even true Trappist brewed beer, very fine whiskeys as well as a friendly atmosphere. They offer darts and mellow laid back, primarily quiet place, though people gather here as the long standing Theadore’s Blues &BBQ is just below and if you have a meal there and prefer to play pool upstairs at Smiths Billiards, the first hour is free of charge! Great place to go in this area!

It’s one of the oldest(if not the oldest) continually operating pool hall in North America. Incredible atmosphere and great vintage feel. it’s a big place, so there’s lots of room to spread out, kick back and not worry about the goof troop you get on the rest of Worthington. Whenever i’m out with a group, this is the place I come to. The bouncers do a great job of keeping dirtbags out of there and the place never seems unwelcoming. There is always a crowd, but it’s never crowded and the beer selection is off the charts. The rectangular window in the front is just freaking cool and there’s tons to do in there that doesn’t involve pool. It’s just a great place. Highly recommended. In downtown Springfield, this place stands next to Theodore’s and the Fort as the three must-go-to bars.

Awesome micro-brew/whiskey/scotch menu and an all around great place for pool. Plus you can order food from downstairs at Theodore’s. They also have live music sometimes. How can you beat that? One of the best places to chill in Springfield.

This is an awesome beer bar, the selection is extensive. The food is brought up from Theodores which is great BBQ. The service is reliably good and it’s a large space so lots of room to spread out and have a good time!

A hidden away Pool Hall and Whiskey Lounge right above Theodore’s Booze Blues and BBQ! Great selection of craft beer, whiskey, scotch, bourbon, etc! Prices were reasonable as well… at least in comparison to Vegas prices lol. I was happy to see their selection so well stocked :) Plenty of room here to stretch your legs! Not sure if they get much busier at night, but when we arrived, we were the first ones in, and only a small group on the way out. We got a free hour of pool with our receipt from Theodore’s downstairs, but we really came up here to drink anyways. After an hour of pool, we started play darts, and had a handful more of drinks lol. Walking distance to the train station btw! That’s how we got here in the first place: P Check it out!

The bartender right next door told us about this place since my friend was looking for bourbon. As soon as they opened at 5pm, we were here and had the place to ourselves. Good, so I don’t embarass myself with my lack of pool skills. They have plenty of pool tables, flatscreen TV’s and a dart board. I got a Hazelnut Brown Nectar(beer) as he was giving me Pool 101. My first shot was great… only because I was not drunk yet so, learning and focusing was not a problem… but my beer was so good I kept missing my shots and the balls won’t go in the hole. I got frustrated, got more beer and moved onto darts. Another game I can play better when sober. The place is in an old building. The women’s restroom shows the age of the place and is quite creepy. There’s another door inside the restroom and who knows where it leads and what would come out of it… my heart was beating much faster everytime I had to go to the bathroom. But it’s all good, that was just me trying to scare myself. Haha! As we were leaving, more people were hanging out at the bar. It’s a chill spot.

I enjoy coming here for a late night drink; nothing really stands out except the staff is friendly and they have a good selection of beer.

Smith’s is a busy joint. If you’re looking to shoot pool there are a lot of tables. The bar area is fairly spacy and there are a lot of TV’s. The best part of Smith’s(IMO) is the beer selection. It’s a point of pride for them to offer finely crafted brews and not the run of the mill. As I made my way up the flight of stairs I’d already decided to put my choice of beer in the bartenders hands. I told him what I usually drank and I asked him to ‘dig something up’ for me. FYI they don’t serve Sam Adams or Newcastle… The Stone IPA he served was perfect for me. A bonus for Smith’s is that they serve food from their sister location downstairs. Theodore’s offers an awesome(mostly BBQ) menu, definitely worth ordering from. I actually prefer eating upstairs(at Smith’s) than downstairs unless I want the restaurant experience. Smith’s has some serious history, it’s been around for a century. Cool place, check it out.

I’m there for the diverse selection of beer styles. You will discover a beer for your mood. The full menu from Theodore’s downstairs is pretty darn alright. Shuffleboards and nice pool tables. Jukebox doesn’t connect to the internet, but that’s fine because it’s full of ZZ Top and Van Halen. The history is obvious and yes, the giant window is very cool in the summer. Killer boots man!

Ask what’s on tap, but not on the board. You might be happily surprised. Continually improving and evolving into a world class beer bar. Limited release kegs becoming more and more common(usually tapped on Friday nights). Great food options, delivered from downstairs at Theodore’s. Some of the best bbq you will find this far north. Monday Night Football in season. Trivia off season. Can’t forget the billiards. Over 100 years of tradition, and some of the original fixtures and architecture to prove it. Front window alone is worth a walk up the stairs to check out.

This place has more than 100 different beers and about twenty taps. If you like craft beer this should be your home while in Springfield. The bar is big and has a bunch of pool tables. I would really like for this place to have live music or something to draw a crowd and make this a place to go downtown that’s safe, clean and relaxed.

good hall, 6 or 8 Brunswick 9′ tables with Simonis cloth. open 5p every day, $ 5/hr. Mon night $ 5 for the whole night, free for women Thurs. too noisy for me after about 7p, okay earlier. this place has the most history in the Valley, but is waaaay too much about the bar, so i prefer Ivory in Holyoke.
