This is the place you go when you want to be pampered. You are treated so well. I love how clean they are. Every pedicure they use new disposable plastic cover. It’s pricy but well worth the service you will get. While you are getting your nails done they serve you drinks and snacks. It doesn’t get better then that.

This place is AWESOME! It’s an amazing deal for the price and the customer service is wonderful. The option of the VIP room is great too and I’m seriously considering using this as my place for my wedding to get my nails done!

I went to the Serenity Nails and Spa for the first time today. Just got a classic manicure by Cindy. Best manicure ever! I love the ambiance of this spa. Very professional staff. And also very clean and modern. They provide you with drinks and fruit. Outstanding service. I made another appointment for next weekend. This place is amazing!!!

I no longer go to this salon solely because my last experience there a couple of months ago was horrible.
Quynh was my go to gal! I loved her. She was PERFECT. From nails to waxing to everything in between, she did it flawlessly. Sadly one day when I came in for an already scheduled appointment, the person they sat in front of me wasn’t Quynh. It was someone else because apparently Quynh had moved. I immediately got pretty mad that they didn’t notify me and ask me ahead of time if I still wanted my appointment. I asked them why and they flat out said «didn’t think it was a big deal.»
Oh, ok.
My nails had never been so awful. The shape was horrendous, the color didn’t match, and don’t even get me started on my eyebrows. They are just not starting to grow back to normal so I can have them re shaped by someone who knows what they are doing. For the prices you pay here, you would think that they would reflect that in customer service. NOPE. All of the nopes. Customer service is reflected on who you get here. And it seems all the good ones moved on to better things. Be careful with who you choose here! Extremely hit or miss now a days.

Have had two manicures and a pedicure here so far and it’s very peaceful, clean and everyone is extremely friendly. So happy they’re within walking distance from my house. My nails look great every time. They do fabulous work.

I honestly wish i could give this place 0 stars after the experience I had yesterday. Me and 2 of my friends go in to get fills on our nails. First problem I had was they went ahead and started on my 2 friends and I was left to wait until the next person was done. I even told the lady that it would be better if we all got them done at the same time so we can leave at the same time and she just shrugged her shoulders and said they were short staff right now. Ok? I can get over that, so I wait and wait and wait, my friend is already done and I haven’t even started mine yet. Then some guy comes over and takes the nail polish off my nails (which left yellow nail polish off my nails but all over my fingers) then says he’ll be back in 10 minutes, so back to waiting. After about 20 minutes he comes back and I literally get the worst manicure I’ve EVER had at ANY nail salon. The next problem I had was when he started clipping the nails he was bending my fingers in the most uncomfortable positions, my fingers were literally cracking, and every time I would move it he would just say «are you okay» like no I’m not okay. Then the worst part of the manicure. When he started filling the nails my pinky finger and ring finger started BURNING so bad. And even after I told him it burned he continued to do it. Then when he started filling the nails in the pinky finger was extremely crooked and he just blamed it on whoever did my nails before, I would’ve noticed if it was that crooked before. Then after they were filled back to the filling. My fingers were still burning, it was awful, not only that but after all the filling he did on my nails they were still lumpy and uneven. Then when he went to paint the nails after two coats of polish you could still see through the polish so I asked for a third coat and he started huffing and puffing. So after I was done I didn’t touch ANYTHING I just went straight to the drying station and looked at the nails and noticed he messed a part of my thumb up, it was noticeably uneven. So I went back over there and showed him and immediately he accused me of touching something. I didn’t touch anything so I already didn’t like the way he came off. Then when he was fixing it he said I was too picky. Which really started to frustrate me. I told him I’m paying to get my nails done correctly not to get a half-​done job. And he said and I quoted, «You got the game f***ed up». What does that even mean? I’m at a nail salon, not a bar. Learn how to treat your customers. Then when he finished the clear coat it was STILL noticeably uneven, so I asked if I could have someone else do it. He replied «I know I do a good job, I don’t care about anyone’s opinion» obviously you don’t because I could do a clear coat in my sleep. It really isn’t that difficult. My friend came over and I told her «I know who isn’t getting a tip» and he looks at me funny and says «you think I need your tip» like you clearly do if you’re a man working at a nail salon. Come on now. But after all is said and done, he gets up and goes over to the pedicure area and slams something down then goes to the back, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Another lady came over and fixed my nail correctly, I believe it was the owner. I asked her what the guy’s name was and she hesitated for a couple seconds then said «Chris» so she was probably lying. For ALL the trouble I went through they only gave me a 5 $ discount. This isn’t even the first bad incident I’ve had with this place. Last time I came in and got matte black nails done and they rushed me while they were drying and they ended up getting messed up on my way back home. I wrote them a bad review and they told me to come in and they fixed it for free as long as I agreed to take the bad review down. I regret taking it down. The only reason I came back was because this place was close to my house. SERIOUSLY, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Its way more expensive than most nail salons, probably because it’s newer. But for the work being done there’s NO reason it should be more expensive.

First time going to location but was in desperate need of a massage so I booked appointment for a 80 minute Swedish massage.
Masseuse was 10 minutes late
Music was NOT relaxing and way too loud. Had to ask to have volume turned down.
Overpowering smell of cleaning product (ammonia/​bleach), she did turn on a fan…
Constant sound of laundry being done (tumbling/​door slamming)
Constant sound of banging
Constant sound of talking
Overall left more tense than I went in.
As soon as I opened the door found the culprit, the massage closet (yes VERY tight room) was right next to their storage/​cleaning room
I explained all the issues was offered a sorry and charged the full amount.
I paid and tipped but will not be back,

Unilocal came through… again… I love my nail place in Fairfax but had read such good reviews about Serenity Nails & Spa, and this place is a tad closer to me. It was also easy to get a very last minute appt so off I went!
The space is awesome. It’s different compared to the plethora of nails places in the area. When I walked in, I saw small spaces of pedi loungers. It was not a big room filled with a long line of pedicure loungers. This place has their sectioned off in separate areas. There are 4 – 6 chairs in each section. I feel like it’s a bit more intimate and private.
They also have a VIP room (4 chairs and a private area with a glass door) that you can book for an extra $ 10 a person, you add it to your pedicure selection (pedi priced from $ 35 on up depending on what kind of scrub, organic treatments, etc). They have a big menu of services just for pedicures.
I was impressed by the offer of fruit and beverages (sodas, water all served in nice glasses). They use timers here because they advertise about $ 1 a minute, and want to make sure you get your full treatment. It’s a cool concept.
My pedi was awesome. I added the salt scrub for an addition $ 5. I also had some fancy painting done. They took their time and made sure everything was pristine. Each staff member was friendly, accommodating and patient. I’d definitely come back again although I will miss the hot stone and neck massages (complimentary) from my other place.

Went to get a mani/​pedi and wax my legs. It was a bit over priced for the suburbs of Northern VA.
The waxing was not up to my standards. I have been getting my legs waxed since I was in my teens and I’m in my 30’s. The waxing room was the same room they give massages. It had poor lighting which doesn’t make sense if you want to get all of your hair removed. I got home and had huge patches of hair on my legs. If it wasn’t so dark I would’ve spoken up. Never going back.

I am SO GLAD I found this place! I have been getting nail refills in this area for five years now, and this is the best my nails have ever looked. Lena did a magnificent job; she was very friendly and professional, and took pride in her work. I will never go to anyone else — please don’t ever leave Lena! I made another appointment with her that same day for my next refill. It’s been over a week now, and my nails still look fantastic. She also gave me a pedicure, and it was pure heaven. She made my legs feel great without massaging so hard it hurt like some places.
This spa is beautiful and very clean; you can tell they take pride in what they do. I would MUCH rather pay a little more and get the kind of quality you get here, than save a few bucks and get the sloppy jobs and poor attitude in some of the other places I’ve been to. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Lena!

My daughter took me back for Mother’s day again to the VIP room. This time was just as wonderful as it was before. The pedicure was beyond normal. The service was warm and friendly. Lilly and her staff served wine, fruit, cheese and crackers and sweet rice to us. My legs, arms, upper back and neck were massaged and hydrated. My nails are beautiful on both hands and toes. But it was the service that was superior. Thank my lovely daughter for taking me to such a special. They even sell candles that after you put them out, you take the oil and rub it on your skin. I bought the Jasmine and it is divine. You really must experience this. Tell Lilly, the owner, that Bad Bev sent you. They also do facials and massages. I am hooked.

Great atmosphere — Clean, staff were friendly and professional, they even offer you a variety of drinks while you get your nails done! Unfortunately the quality of the gel nail polish is terrible. Less than 2 weeks after my (pricey) gel manicure, the paint is peeling off — not chipping — but peeling. The color of the polish isn’t as vibrant or glossy as other brands. Although my technician was thorough in polish application, parts seemed lighter than others and the tips were almost clear. I get my nails done so they look nice, not necessarily to have a relaxing experience — I got a relaxing experience but short-​lasting nails. Better off going to Ulta and getting their $ 25 OPI gel manicures that actually last you 3 weeks.

I couldn’t find one thing wrong with this place. Super clean with a relaxing ambiance. They brought me a fresh cut bowl of fruit and a juice cocktail while I got a gel manicure. The technical work of the manicure was amazing! They use a plastic liner for in their pedicure foot tubs. Will be returning!

I’m sure everyone else who works there is nice, but the woman I got was really rude. She made me so uncomfortable that I haven’t step foot in this salon in like two years. I came here when they first renovtated the place and was excited to get my nails done. They can’t do pointy nails at all, first of all which is dissappointing, and also the woman who did my nails was one of the older ones that worked there… she was very rude to me, always spoke to me in a dismissive tone and kept telling me I «needed» to get my eyebrows waxed. I did not want to get my eyebrows done at the time because I was letting them grow out from a prevous wax job that went wrong. She almost sounded as if she were. disgusted in my eyebrows. She was just making me feel really uncomfortable, and self conscious. It wasn’t a good experience. I’m not for rude service at all, and I will never come back here. They need to work on almond shaped nails, and their attitude.

Helen did my acrylic set today and im very very happy. She was gentle enough and listened to me about how I wanted my shape and size (Im super picky about my nails) I will definately be returning!

So happy that I spent my lunch break at Serenity! I needed to get my acrylics removed and replaced with a gel manicure over my natural nails. The atmosphere is gorgeous and relaxing and the staff extremely professional. Can’t wait for some more me time!

Needed a quick pedicure and stopped here because of the four star rating. Most salons around here have only three stars. Impressed by how clean and professional the staff is here. they use the plastic tubs in the foot spas and sterilized equipment. There have a huge range of affordable pedi options above the standard $ 20 one. I will be back when I have more time. Not too many techs working on a Tues night so I would call ahead to check availability if possible.

Very modern and clean salon. Quynh did an awesome job with my shellac mani. Definitely will revisit!

Want to update my review, since i see that its got filtered but i really want to share my experience. I saw Tiffany today for just quick shellac color change. As last time, she was great. Very detailed. Did not rush, which is very important to me. She took her time, and changing the color took close to one hour. She recommended my to do the refill too, but u did nit have time. She was worried that the nail polish would not go as smooth as it should because i needed to refill my nails. It is so nice when technician is more worry about your nails and result then me :-) thank you, Tiffany, again. I will see you next week.

I’ve been a client of Quynh for years now. I’ve had natural shellac nails, acrylic nails, gel nails, pedicures, and waxing from her. She is amazing. But the thing that sets her apart of the rest is her amazing talent for nail designs. She can do pretty much anything. I’ve brought pictures in and she’s replicated them exactly.
She just started working at Serenity, I love it! The salon is beautiful and the service is top notch. They provide complimentary snacks and drink and everything is «one time use» disposable. This is the first salon I’ve seen use pedicure liners.
I am very happy with the new salon and I absolutely love Quynh!
