Needed to get some recessed lights installed for my rental property and called Maikol. Not only was his quote cheaper than the others, he was also very professional, punctual and on-​point. Great service and will use again.

I have a house built in the 1950’s with probably few to no electrical updates. I was definitely concerned about finding a qualified Master Electrician with competitive pricing. Maikol definitely fit the bill when he came onsite to provide a quote.
He gave me a couple of options for dealing with rewiring the house which had outlets that were not grounded. He carefully explained the pros and cons of each option in laymens terms. He also provided a competitive price to replace the main panel and a couple of other electrical upgrades such as recess lighting. His pricing was on-​par with electricians that were not even Master electricians. There was no pressure to agree to do business in person. He provided the quotes for the work later that day via email with no additional pressure.
When I hired him for the job, he was very friendly and made sure that I was aware of the progress. He was even willing to match a competitors pricing. He rewired the entire house, replaced the electrical panel, added recess lighting, and added electrical wiring to the new addition to the house. He worked with the power company (no additional cost to me) to ensure the electrical wires outside my house were upgraded and up-​to-​code.
He seemed to do all of this with a smile. I would definitely recommend getting a quote from him if you need electrical work done around your home.

We hired Maikol to install recessed lighting in our kitchen and fix some wiring issues that were discovered during inspection of a home we’d just purchased. Working with Rock’s Electric was a pleasure from getting the estimate to the end of the job. Maikol is professional, personable, fast, skillful, and as others have said here, he explains what is needed and his prices are fair. I’d recommend his excellent work to anyone.

We just moved to a townhouse located inWoodbridge VA and a week after we found out that our electrical panel has been discontinued and has several recalls! At the same time we noticed that our son bedroom was very hot so we were thinking to install a ceiling fan, we start looking for estimates calling a few companies around Woodbridge and Rock’s Electric was the must affordable and professional, Maikol answered all my question and explained to me why the electrical panel has to be replaced.
During the job he was very clean and quiet while running the wires for the ceiling fan behind the walls and even installing a wall control to control the fan and the light. For the electrical panel update Maikol made the arrangement to keep the power on to the refrigerator since I’m pregnant and have to small children’s that was important to me, beside replacing the electrical panel he also updated the
grounding to the panel. We will definitely recommend Rocks Electric and use the again.

I had a room where none of the outlets worked. The problem was found quickly and it was explained to me (I always want to know details). He was professional, on time, and his price was reasonable. I would use this company again.

So I needed the following things done.
1– Remove old alarm company control box from the 90’s that had wires sticking out of the wall
2– Remove a ceiling fan and replace it with a lamp, so my son could use his bunk bed without peril
3– Update cables for Direct TV box –I had already made an appointment with another electrician for these, BUT they were backed up with other appointments for 2 weeks! And it was going to cost $ 200 per outlet, regardless of how easy or hard the work was, i. e shimmying through the crawlspace under the house and creating a new outlet, or just climbing into the attic and dropping cables down into existing outlets replacing the current cable. $ 200 per outlet (we had 2 – 5 TV’s that possibly needed updated cable) and we’d also have to wait 2 weeks!
I really was not looking forward to waiting 2 weeks for #s 2 and 3, so I made the appointment with this apparently very pricey and busy electrician we had used once before, but then I also called Rock’s Electric because a friend had suggested them, just to see if I could get something done earlier, and if they charged less.
Rock’s Electric was great! They charged hourly, rather than per item, which seems more logical right? I kept following the poor guy around trying to ask what they charged per outlet and he must have thought I was crazy. He just charged by the hour I believe. That’s what the cost came to at least. He used some cable, so maybe there was a charge for however much that was, but it couldn’t have been much. And he could have said that we needed new cable on all 5 TVs, because it’s not as if I know anything about it, but he didn’t. He said the pictures were great on all of the TVs except t 2, so there was no need to fix the others. And the 2 outlets that Mike did update the wiring on, were bedrooms that were next to each other, so it took no extra time at all. The other company would have charged at least $ 400 just for replacing the cable in the outlets for the 2 rooms combined, Rock’s Electric charged me much less than $ 400 that for the entire service call, which included more than just updating the wiring in the 2 rooms. Mike said he already had to access the attic for the 1 room that we had to have cable replaced in, because the tv was getting no service, so he said it was no trouble to simply drop another cable into the next room over.
And, before he left, I wanted to let him know that I had received a referral to use them by a friend. If I had my own biz, I know I’d be flattered that people are happy with my business and would just be so happy to know about it. So he knocked off 10% because I had received their name from a friend! Which I absolutely was not expecting! Anyways, my point is I was very happy with how professional Mike was and the cost for service. My son can also be a little bit of a pest and gets excited when anyone comes to the house. So my 3 year old very outgoing child kept sneaking into whatever room Mike was in to show him his favorite Transformers or finding any excuse to talk to him. He was really nice about it and just humored him. I like people who are nice to my kids :) There are a few more things that I would like done here and I will use them again in a heartbeat.

I recently had Mike of rock’s electric do some electrical work in my home July 2012
He was the only one who answered my on-​line email.
He was personable, polite, courteous, knowledgeable and came to my home providing a free estimate when it was convenient for me.
He came on time to do the installation. He contacted me throughout the project.
I felt comfortable leaving him in my home while I was at work.
He took the time to walk me through everything during the estimate.
When the work was completed he walked me through the end result.
He revamped my kitchen outlets, bath outlet, ran wire through the condo to install ceiling fans.
I paid half upfront and half when the job was completed.
I had an electrical issue a few days later with my dryer. Mike came on a Sunday morning free of charge to check that outlet for power even though he did not do any work on that part of the electrical system. Therefore, I knew the problem was with the dryer and not the outlet.
Mike rates 110 percent for customer service and a job well done!

I was very impressed with Mike’s attitude when he came to have a look at the kitchen lights I wanted to add. Seemed professional and promised to have a quote to me by the end of the day.
When it didn’t come I thought it, «It’s Friday, I am sure I’ll hear from him Monday.» Monday and Tuesday come and go and still no quote. I called several times and left messages and no still response. It has been 3 weeks and I have heard nothing…
Very disappointing.
