Dr. Dhamrait was born and raised in Ottawa IL. He graduated from LaSalle-​Peru High School and was an Illinois State Scholar. He attended the University of Iowa and received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1989.

Dr. Dhamrait is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

My whole family went to Dr. Dhamrait years ago after our long-​time dentist moved to St. Louis. He is very nice and charming, and he’ll take your calls on his personal cell when he’s not at work. Great, right? WRONG!!! He prescribes ROOT CANALS for everything. He did one on my mom, one on my sister and one on my little brother’s baby tooth.
I was only saved a root canal because I moved to Denver and found a better dentist there that performed a very simple procedure to fix what a previous quack dentist in Chicago had done (hadn’t cleaned out a tiny cavity properly before filling it). When I told the Denver dentist what Dhamrait had said about the root canal she said that a root canal was completely, 100% unnecessary. I no longer have problems with that tooth now BTW. When I had called Dr Dhamrait with my problem (before I moved to Denver), he prescribed a root canal without ever having even SEEN me let alone looked in my mouth.
After a few months my family realized Dhamrait is talking out of his ass and began making the 1 hr 45 minute trip to the old dentist in STL. The old dentist told my mom that none of those 3 root canals were necessary, and that he wished she had come to him (the old dentist) sooner. Especially since 1) my sister and I both have (knock on wood) very strong, healthy teeth that we care for and 2) my brother’s was a BABY TOOTH for goodness sakes… a root canal was really over the top.
My mom and sister still go to the old dentist in St Louis because unfortunately it is hard to find quality dentists especially in a small town.
Bottom line: DO NOT GO HERE!!! He is out to make money on as many root canals as possible and you do not want a root canal unless you absolutely NEED it.
