Excellent phở. Excellent house made shrimp chips. Would eat here any time.

I visit regularly, and the phở is quite good, the broth has a flavor that is a bit mild for me. The vermicelli is also worth a go. The food is all authentic, and the atmosphere is very nice. The staff are great.

I stopped in here with my fiancée while on our road trip to Ludlow Vermont this past weekend. I’ll say this I’ve never been disappointed with a large bowl of Phở soup. This Phở shop like almost every other one I’ve been to all seem to have the same taste in table selection and chairs which I always find amusing.(My fiancée tells me it’s because cleaning a glass surface is much more efficient) But none the less I have never go to a Phở place for the place mats or table décor but rather the yummy food. We ordered a spring roll appetizer to share since they sell them as a two piece item. I enjoy these apps very much, especially the peanut butter dipping sauce. For the main meal I ordered an extra large bowl of regular Phở soup with meat while my fiancée ordered a spicy vegetarian Phở soup. The waiter of course asked if I was sure about the size to which I was positive. We then waited about 8 minutes before receiving our food. What I found interesting about this place unlike any other Phở shop I’ve been too is the fact that a bell rang signifying the food was ready. Overall the food was extremely good and very yummy. I easily finished the extra large bowl, which impressed both the chef and the waiter. If I lived in the area I would definitely frequent this establishment on a weekly basis.

Based on reviews, I was expecting the phở to be out of this world! However, it wasn’t as great as I was hoping. I’ve been to plenty of phở places and this was good but not great. The egg rolls were pretty good too. Service was awesome! There was only one waiter and he was taking care of about 11 parties plus flipped a couple tables. With the restaurant a bit busy, the food still came out pretty quick. I was pretty impressed. I had the taro bubble tea, and I’m not sure if it’s just the flavor(my first time trying taro) but it had a weird after taste.

Best Phở in Western Mass! Try the spring rolls AND the egg rolls. The Phở is amazing, but so are the other menu items. Not a one trick pony here. I’m a huge fan of the rice dishes, while my wife enjoys the glass noodle dishes. The fish sauce is amazing and the pickled veggies are a beautiful and delicious garnish. We wish we could explore more of the menu, but it seems every-time we decide we want Phở, we’re hooked on our favorite go to’s. Soooooo good!

Excellent food! You can’t go wrong with the«lemon grass soup.» Ask for it spicy. Staff is always incredibly friendly. Loses one star for the lack of ambiance. It’s not a dingy place by any means, but definitely not a first date kind of place if you know what I mean…

No better way to warm yourself up except with a big bowl of delicious phở! I came to Springfield for work. And after a long day of candle-making at the Yankee Candle Village, my coworker and I decided we needed to warm ourselves up(we are from California, so we are not used to the cold). This place was recommended by our Über driver and I am so glad she mentioned it. The place was busy when we walked it. But they were able to seat us right away. I noticed while were we looking at the menu that there were a lot of people that were taking food to go. So if you want to eat at home, you can totally call in and order your food to go. But I would NEVER recommend eating phở to go. Phở is a dish that is best when served fresh. And oh my gosh. This place makes it fresh. I was very surprised by how delicious the broth was. No offense. But the Bay Area makes some good phở. This place is just as good. They meat was very good quality and the noodles were cooked just right. I loved how hot the broth was and how fresh the bean sprouts, mint, lime, and jalapenos were. All around a very good dish. There were several other tables that were ordering rice dishes that looked absolutely amazing as well. So if I ever come back, I will definitely try those!

Decent phở. Bland spring rolls. Also if you’re Asian expect to be treated like second class citizens to the white customers. Waited for our bill for over 10 mins after asking for it and in the mean time the waiters checked with the tables near us over and over again. There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area so we won’t be back.

Delicious, fresh food, and friendly, attentive staff! Great experience all around. You will definitely leave with food to take home! Tea is served to you right when you sit down and the second I poured the last drop from the pot, another was already being placed at the table. Would definitely come here again.

Update: We have since been back to Phở Saigon 3 – 4 times since my last review. We’ve even brought my mom and our kids, they all loved it. Our 3 year old finished a large bowl by himself lol and our 4 year old is still asking for the fried egg rolls. Every time we’ve been back the servers great us warmly. It’s nice that they’re not just there to take orders and bring out food, but that they’re interested in building a lasting relationship with their dining guests. A truly wonderful mom and pops restaurant that has quickly become one of our favorites. —– My boyfriend and I got an unexpected date night when my mom decided to take our kids shopping. He wanted phở, and usually we head to Phở Boston in W. Hartford CT, but didn’t feel like trekking all that way from Enfield last night. Thankfully we found Phở Saigon on Unilocal and had a delightful dinner. Unlike the bustling atmosphere of Phở Boston, Phở Saigon is the friendly, warm, and cozy establishment my boyfriend and I enjoy frequenting more often. Food was delicious(the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce was a little bland for my taste, but everything else was fantastic), place has a great atmosphere with friendly and attentive servers. Take Out orders were also in full swing. I’m sure we’ll be back.

My go to restaurant for Phở in the area. Great portions. Delicious food. I have to say you need to go a long long way to beat it. I have eaten Vietnamese around the country and I still love coming back here. The Phở is great. The noodles cooked correctly. The meat tender and cooked to perfection along with a nice Vietnamese coffee to finish. Highly recommend this place

This was my first stop on my adventure to find some Vietnamese food in the area. Not that I had a terrible experience here but this place is more of an «Intro to Viet food.» As another reviewer stated, this place is more touristy. They have the more popular dishes such as phở, bun, and com thit nuong. If they were to expand their menu to reflect what mom would cook for dinner then I’d be back for sure. I was disappointed that they didn’t serve thai tea which I feel is a staple for any restaurant with phở, but that’s just my personal opinion. Since this was my first time here I stuck with the phở tai bo vien. It was served in less than 5 minutes and wasn’t too bad. The broth was flavorful and they were not stingy with the meat, I actually got more than 1 cut up meatball. The waiter was extremely friendly and quick so that’s definitely something that will encourage me to come back and try the other items on their menu.

Delicious! Freshly made spring rolls, with what tastes like home made peanut sauce and the aromatic peppers in beef meatballs in my phở is also something new. Service was fast, and the phở bowl, if you get the large special, is a giant bowl of tastiness. The shrimp on sugarcane is also very tasty — shrimp paste over sugar cane and a mix of nicely blended favors. Small with two pieces so you may want to order more than one. Comparable to the good phở spots back in California, will make this a definitely stop for road trips up to Quebec!(I ate everything so fast, realized I had forgotten about photos, haha)

Absolutely amazing! This was my first experience with Vietnamese food and our server recommended exactly what to have based on my likes(lemongrass chicken with rice) and I was so pleased. My husband got a seafood stew(can’t remember the name) and loved it! The taro smoothie ended my night and I wish I could have one of these drinks every night. The service here tonight was wonderful. Our sever was very helpful and attentive and such a pleasure to meet. We do not live close by but if we did we would be here every week!

So unique and so good. I hadn’t been in awhile and was not disappointed. I had a craving for their spring rolls and grilled beef on onion skewers and bot were as good as I remembered. Picture beef on a stick, but the stick is an onion that crunches when you bite the beef. Picture spring rolls(not egg rolls) with shrimp, rice, chicken, vermicelli and fresh veggies wrapped in rice paper served with a peanut dipping sauce. Top these apps off with a Happy Pancake stuffed with shrimp chicken and sprout. Now imagine that all of this is ridiculously reasonably priced. Don’t you want to go right now? Neighborhood no the greatest so I as a single woman would not go alone in the dark. But there is easy nearby parking so if you go with a friend you’ll be okay.

Phở Saigon, I had my expectations set far too high. It’s not your fault– my favorite Vietnamese place(in Tucson, AZ) is called Miss Saigon, and I guess I subconsciously set myself up for a little disappointment. First, the positives: –I love the quirky, indie feel of this restaurant. It doesn’t feel sterile and barren like most Vietnamese phở joints do. I would definitely consider this a date-worthy restaurant. –the service was fast. I walked in and placed a to go order and walked out less than 7 minutes later. –the staff was very friendly; both employees who helped me had a smile on their face and were pleasant, as well as helpful. The negatives(or, as I like to call them, opportunities for improvement): –I ordered the rare beef phở(small) and a mango green tea with tapioca. The mango green tea was sickly sweet, downright undrinkable. I tossed it with less than half of it gone. Too much mango purée, plus the green tea tasted like it had been sweetened to begin with. Next time, I’ll order something different. I wish they had honey milk tea! –the rare beef phở was just ok. The broth, to my taste, seemed very perfumey and off-balance. The noodles were excellent and the beef was very nice as well. The garnish was a little underwhelming. This is the second phở shop here in Springfield that chop up the cilantro and mixes it with the onions; in AZ, you get a whole bunch of it, served on the stem like the basil, to add to your phở broth. And again, for the second time here in MA, the sriracha sauce is served mixed in with the hoisin sauce! Bleh. Thankfully I have my own sriracha at home. –Finally, their parking situation sucks. The two huge parking lots owned by other businesses across the street apparently tow quite frequently, as referenced by the numerous signs posted in the restaurant. Curbside parking near the restaurant is impossible, there was no availability for several blocks. I hope there’s a solution for this as it’s really inconvenient, especially for those ordering takeout. I will definitely be back to Phở Saigon, especially for dine-in date nights. I’m excited to try some different(less saccharin) drinks and expand outward from phở to bahn mi!

Breathe in the beautiful scented broth and taste it, unspoiled by any condiments. Next, squeeze on some lime and add your favoured condiments and garnishes. Mix with chopsticks and a spoon. Pile the ingredients onto your spoon and slurp away, bringing the bowl to your mouth and drinking every last sop of broth. You can go without most of the garnishes but using the right noodles is very important. Laced with the warm fragrant spices of star anise, coriander seeds, cinnamon and cloves — with top notes of fresh herbs, onions and citrus and brimming with noodles, every mouthful feels nourishing to the body and mind. For me, phở is about home, wherever that may be. I constantly crave it, especially when I’m away from my family. Phở Saigon manages to hit all the right notes when I’m craving. In this particular part of Springfield, there’s certainly no shortage of Vietnamese restaurants. But the always friendly and informative staff, a medley of Vietnamese dishes available, and overall experience has me coming back. I haven’t had a dish that didn’t remind me of Mom. Starters, vermicelli, noodle and rice dishes, everything is tastefully prepared. Smoothies aren’t bad and overall pricing is reasonable. Closed Wednesday’s and open until 9pm most nights, Phở Saigon is one of my top choices when I’m craving good Vietnamese.

This restaurant seems quite authentic, however the food is mediocre. Atmosphere: clean, pleasant, quiet, waiters seem to hover. No wait, however! Appetizers: craving spring rolls, we ordered the shredded pork spring rolls, which I would not recommend. Not only was it not shredded pork, but rather just a dried, chalky, minced pork and clearly made a while back since it came within a few seconds. Phở: the soup is very clear and well-seasoned. Brisket slices were too thin, yet tendon was too thick and chewy. The tendons needed to be stewed for longer. The meat was also strangely tough. Service: ah, my favorite part… Waiters seemed to hover a bit. Our waiter was having a lot of trouble getting our orders correct. All we wanted was to order the special combo phở without meat balls and flank. He repeated my order incorrectly three times, and even then ended up giving me the wrong size. They also kept talking about the order away from the table over and over again as if they were struggling(?). All in all, good place if you’re craving phở and phở only. Actually, iced coffee wasn’t bad!
