History

Established in 1992.

PC Electronics started as Springfield’s first PC builder and networking shop. We of course built and serviced PC’s «clones» what they were called back then. PC Electronics was the first to connect PC’s without a Novell server using 10BASE2 coaxial cable before modern cat 5 saving customers thousands of dollars, although we were Novell and Cisco Certified. We were also in tele-​communications before the Internet hit giving us the ability to start Warpnet on a shoe string budget. Since the death of dial-​up we have since morphed back to our beginnings of computer, network, and electronics. We now boast Central Illinois first and only electronics shop capable of motherboard repairs through infra red chip replacement and reflow system, which save our customers thousands.
