Lauren gave me an AHmazing cut and color! I came in with some bad hair but when I left, it was fabulous! She really knows her stuff. I live out of town but I will go back to see her– well worth a trip! Also, my friend had her hair done by Brian(she is the one who brought me there) and he did phenomenal work!

I’ve been craving a good facial so I googled«day spas in Delco» and saw Nirvana listed. I was skeptical… figured that it was primarily a hair salon so wondered how good the facials could be, but my face really wanted to be pampered and it was close and they had an opening, so what the heck. I was so pleasantly surprised. It is basically a hair salon I guess, but they have a room for massages/facials on the 2nd floor where it’s less busy. Amanda was fantastic. I’ve had more than 10 facials in the last few years and this was one of the best. Good blend of attention to the face, and a great hand/arm/scalp/shoulder/chest massage too. Products were geared to what I wanted(lots of moisture), scents were checked with me before applying products, nice mix of quiet and talking… not sure there was anything I didn’t like, which of course is why I gave 5 stars! Oh — I also told Amanda that I have lymphedema in my right arm, so downward massage should be avoided. When she got to that arm(and remember, this was a facial!!) she paid great attention to making sure she used upward strokes only. I will definitely be going back, and hoping that Amanda isn’t snatched up by a competitor! Price was very reasonable too I thought.

I used to attend this salon regularly, and I had a regular stylist. The woman whom I usually went to moved to another salon, so a new person gave me a bad hair cut. I wanted subtle layers and angles and bangs that did what I wanted them to do. Instead, I got this Partridge family mom mullet which made my wavy hair do all kinds of terrible out-of-control things. The owner was kind enough to fix my haircut, only to charge me for the haircut again, with a 10% discount(ish). So I quickly had that handled, as one should not have to pay for an abominable haircut. Since the fixed haircut was pretty good, I went back for another one. I asked for the same haircut that I had last time, and before I could explain what that was, he said, «easier said than done». After this haircut, I realized that I was given a discount on the previous haircut, based on the price of the most recent one. That was the last time I would ever go there. Hair cuts are not rocket science, and(especially) if you own the salon, you should be prepared to be able to provide your clients with consistency and sincerity. This was a while ago, but as I am new to Unilocal,I have some catching up to do.
