Mon Cheri Nails & Spa

I went to the salon this morning and it was fairly empty with only two customers being treated. At first, the lady that introduced us was kind of rude and told my friend and I to pick out colors. After, she took me while someone else took my friend.
Her name was Diane, and it was a very quiet start. I asked to get an acrylic full set and she said $ 30 for that + $ 5 for my desired nail shape. She started. I am a very quiet and non talkative person but once someone starts a conversation with me I actually become engaged in it but Diane and I were quiet. However towards that end after I paid and she still had to buff and paint my nails she started conversations with me. She wasn’t as bad as I thought. I gave her a tip. And whenever you pay they give you a piece of chocolate, I got a York peppermint. The final job was AWESOME. Color came out great and the shape was perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Other employees seemed engaged with their customers. I will be coming back to Diane for my re-​fill.

I purchased a Gel Manicure at Mon Cheri. The overall experience was fine, the salon is very pretty and well maintained. My manicurist was a little messy but I liked the way my nails looked when they were done. One immediate problem is that the top coat was running off of my nails on the sides and was very sharp, I ended up having to trim it off when I got home. The Gel Manicure lasted 7 days before it started to chip & peel. By day 9 the gel was catching on my clothes and peeling off. Not pleased with this service, will not be returning.

Came here last week for a mani-​pedi with french tips. I enjoyed the pedicure. No problems. My tech seemed rushed for the manicure. After a gave a very, very good tip, she never came back to check on me when I sat at the nail dryer.
My nail polish cracked in less than 24 hours. Today is less than a week out, and all i have left is cracked tips… don’t think I’ll be returning here.

I love this place! This has been my go-​to salon since it opened just over a year ago. It is always clean and peacefully quiet. Everyone does a great job in here and I have been serviced by several people (Myvan, Nina, Lynn, Pauline). I also LOVE that the pedicures always last for a minimum of 30 minutes. There is nothing worse than going in for a relaxing pedicure that only lasts 15 minutes, and that NEVER happens here. They also have a variety of beautiful colors to choose from regardless of the season. I have a bunch of pics to upload because I’ve been going here for so long now and I decided to share my stash of nail photos since they have consistently done such a great job. Also, once you find a person (s) you love, start making appointments with them so that you can always have your nails done how you like them. Every woman needs a good go-​to bi-​weekly nail tech to take the headache out of flop jobs you get by trying new salons/​nail techs all the time. This place is 5 stars and I feel like I just shared a gem with you all lol! Enjoy!

THey were super busy when I came in with a bridal group on a saturday evening, but we were taken care of super fast. The ladies were super nice and the pedicure was stellar. I asked for a basic french polish and it looked fabulous when we left. Unfortunately within 24 hours the plain polish was crackling and fogging up like crazy. It wasn’t noticeable at the wedding, but 36 hours later my polish was flaking off in chunks. I’ve had many many manicures, and I’ve NEVER had this happen so fast. Even when I do my own nails (just polish) this never happens. If it wasn’t so out of my way I would go back and get them to fix it. I’d be willing to go back for a gel and pedi, but with trepidation.

Todays visit was such disappointment. Hanna rushed the whole time, and at the end didn’t even say a word to me.

In general… OK, nothing to brag about. They do not leave anything on you long enough. They now have timers at each pedicure station. This really Cheapens the place.

I went on a Saturday (9÷26÷15) to spoil myself and called earlier to ask how much a gel full set was. I was told $ 45, and decided to go for it, spoil myself! I know that I am allergic to acrylic nails, so I knew that I would need gel nails. The woman who did my nails was rude, didn’t even ask me how I was, and continued to talk to her coworker the entire time. When she was done tugging on my fingers and hitting my hand and telling me to relax, she finished what I was told was «gel full set». Which looked a lot like acrylic, but I went with it. It was the white powder with the curing liquid put as putty on my nails and formed into typical acrylic nails, what I have been getting for years. The only difference between this acrylic set and a typical one is the gel nail polish used instead of regular nail polish. Once she finished she didn’t say more than a word to me but asked me if I wanted my eyebrows waxed (and I didn’t, I had just gotten them two weeks prior. I paid and left.
This morning I woke up with severe itching, bubbling and redness on my skin, just how I am when I get the acrylic. I have an allergic reaction which is why I wanted GEL! I suffered through the day, and called the manager on my lunch break. She was extremely rude, and made me feel like I was uneducated about what I wanted. I said I asked for full gels, because I am allergic to acrylics and I am itchy all over. She stated I could come back in and pay more money to get them removed and put back on. She refused to work with me, and kept repeating «you didn’t ask for the right thing, you asked for acrylics with gel» which is ABSOLUTELY A LIE!!! She wasn’t even there the day I went. I want this to be fixed without having to pay $ 20 more dollars and to have been made feel stupid by someone who makes plenty of money. I was doing them a favor by choosing their business, and they won’t even help me out with my allergic reaction. I am displeased and want my money back! Or just to have my fingers fixed for the price I asked them to be paid for! I am upset and disappointed

Love this place, prefer this nail salon over the one upstairs. I usually walk in after work since I’m around the mall and each time has been exceptionally nice. Clean and pretty salon.

My favorite place to do my nail dun they are professional and clean.
They have big selection from the gel pedicure .
They have water and snuck.
I always do my nail there and love it .
The mall is new and not a lot of people over there it nice place to relax and made ur nails dun .
The only problem there they don’t have reception.
Wich has lil bit annoying and its problem to be without ur phone to me .
I work with my phone and need it .

Love this nail salon! I come down from DC every few weeks because this salon is the cleanest, most professional, most relaxing nail salon that I have found. Their prices are more than fair and all the nail techs are experienced and know what they are doing. They have a huge selection of colors and offer nice extras such as the paraffin wax treatments, beverages during your services, and (my fav) the hot stones during pedicures! I tend to try to come during the week after work and it’s always busy, but I never have to wait. I usually do some combination of gel mani/​pedi/​waxing with Myvan (the best!) and I leave relaxed and with great nails!

Great place and its a bonus that the paraffin wax is included in a basic mani/​pedi. Plenty of colors to choose from. I generally visit on a weekday (without an appointment) and although it is busy, my wait time has never been more than 5 minutes. Friendly and talented staff.

Busy salon on a Saturday as to be expected. I made an appointment and as soon as I got there they were able to bring me back.
I got a sea salt spa pedicure. It was good but it wasn’t memorable. They did offer me lemonade while I was there which was very nice and refreshing. I give it a four instead of a 5 because she was really rough and stopped a couple of times with the hot stone and it got really hot really fast.
I’d go back but make sure you have an appointment on a Saturday.

Im so glad I found Mon Cheri! I come here every two weeks and get the same gel mani. Each and every one of Myvans employees have done a wonderful job on my nails. I have never had to wait too long, unusual since its in the mall. I recommend Mon Cheri, and any of its wonderful staff. What you pay is well worth it! I personally love the Mood changing colors. Always a fun conversation whether in summer or winter! Large selection and very sanitary. This is also one of the quickest places I have ever gotten my nails done. Amuse-​toi bien!

I visited a few more times (~3) after my inital review, and while everything about the salon and service stayed at 5 stars, my nails did not hold up well.
I go 2 weeks max between fill ins and after one week in I had the edges begin to lift up. This is somewhat normal across the «acrylic nail» board, I guess. However, at my usual nail spot — which is, admittedly, not as fancy — this never happens. Since the main reason I get my nails done is for the final outcome I had to revise my review.

This was my first time going this nail salon and I’ll be returning back! I went in to get a gel manicure done especially because I’m always washing my hands (I work at a doctors office) and gel lasts longer than a regular manicure. I was welcomed in and asked what I wanted done, I didn’t have to wait much to get someone to do my nails. I was taking to the station where my nail tech is and I was offered anything to drink, I asked for water (they even offer to make hot chocolate for you too!) I took some time to choose my nail color and I was ready to get my nails done.
I was lucky enough to get Nina as my nail tech! She was amazing! She was very precise and took her time to make sure my nails were perfect! After she did nails, which came out fabulous, she put my hands in hot wax and massages my arms with hot lotion. That was such a relaxing feeling, and the best thing about it is that it’s all included with the manicure, no extra charge! I paid $ 32 for my gel manicure which I think is perfect especially with all that’s done! After that I paid her, and she came back a client loyalty card, to keep track of the visits and on the 10^th visit you get 30% off any service, and also with a piece of chocolate :) Nina will definitely be my nails tech from now on! I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

okay, so it might seem pricey to cheap people like me BUT considering all the things they do for you it’s a great price! I got a basic pedicure which comes with a lot! You get the hot wax and foot massage with dead sea salt. As soon as I walked in I was offered a complimentary beverage and they had a wide variety, they also had a wide variety of complimentary snacks. At the end of my pedicure the lady (Tina) also put oil on my toes and bagged them up and put my socks on for me. She then gave me a lindtt chocolate. She was very very nice. They really pamper you here, it’s everything customer service should be.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY

I was looking for a nice nail salon in the springfield/​alexandria area where I could get a good mani pedi. I usually go to Escape in Springfield but wanted a nice change.
I made an appt at Mon Cheri and despite how many walk ins came in at the same time I did, it was a good sign that they honored my appt time and took me first.
$ 42 bucks for a mani+pedi which included a nice paraffin mask, sea scrub, and a light massage. I would have liked a better massage but it was fine. I enjoyed the experience until she put on the nail polish, which was incredibly sloppy. I noticed it after it dried. I had the nail polish on the sides of the nails and on my skin, it looked kinda gross. It’s was all good though, because I asked her to redo it and she did. I think even she realized how bad they looked lol. My manicure was nice and also included the paraffin mask, she did a fine job.
Also note, this place does cash only tips. So keep this mind so you’re not forced to go to the credit union ATM next door.
If I was in the mall and needed a mani and pedi I would be back but wouldn’t go out if my way, it’s tough finding that perfect experience at nail salons.

First time here and I love it!!!
As a bridal consultant I’m on my feet constantly! I decided to treat myself tonight and I’m so glad I did!!!
I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment and the guy that answered made me an appointment for 30 minutes later. I got there 7 minutes prior to my appointment and was really pleased with the atmosphere! Calming music, a seemingly clean facility, and a modern décor so my first impressions of the place were fantastic.
I was escorted back into the pedicure area and a gentle asked me if I wanted anything to drink before he helped me step into the seat. I accepted a soda and proceeded to relax in their high tech massage chair. I’d honestly just come back for the massage chair alone!
I opted to get the deluxe spa pedicure for $ 50.00 and it was so worth it. Nancy was my nail tech, and she did a fabulous job of scrubbing all the calluses away and I love the way they do the paraffin wax. They place the wax inside a spa bag then allow your feet to slide into the bag instead of stepping into a nasty reused wax machine. The hot stones were a nice relaxing touch, I only wish mine were a little hotter.
Nancy proceeded to massage my legs and feet at just the right pressure, I’m so glad I came to see her. She could tell by my reaction whether or not she was applying too much pressure and kept making sure that I was comfortable. After she was finished my massage she placed these massive thick hot towels over my legs and it felt like heaven! I so could have gone right to sleep. The only downside is when I walked outside my pores were completely open and it was freezing outside.
My toes were looking so good I decided to get my nails done. Nancy did a pretty good job of making my hands look brand new but I hate that she knicked me a few times. I winced a couple times when she was polishing my nails.
Overall I’d definitely go back, it’s a little pricey so maybe once a month for me, but worth it!

I love this place. My nails are very nice and I don’t regret doing my nail. I love that there is lots of nail polish that I can choose from. I took my mom to do her shellac and she loves it.
I use to go to Vivian nail spa its the worse place they are not polite, would use tools from other people (I had to ask for a new one and sterilized), one of the workers would leave my nails cricket, they don’t take their time, and they are always complaining.
