Mike’s is a small bar located on Page Boulevard in SPFLD. I honestly believe that this place is located in the wrong place. The bar is relatively clean and the food is pretty flavorful. The service is quick and super friendly and I always wonder why it is seldom packed. If they took this place somewhere else, their business would double. I think perhaps, Mike should invest in advertising and maybe there would be an increase in regulars.

Mike’s East Side Pub is a working man’s pub. it’s not trying to be swanky. It’s trying to be a place where people can come after a day of work and get some good grub and something to drink. In this regard, it succeeds greatly, offering some good greasy food and great drink in a welcoming environment. I came to try out some of the wares recently, and they did not disappoint. We started with some cheese squares, which were quite good. The real treat was the fish and chips: a nice, large heaping fish combined with some great fries and cole slaw. It’s a perfect dinner after a nice long day. The atmosphere is really what makes Mike’s: it’s a community bar/eatery, with cool sports and other stuff on the wall and a combination of regulars and newbies that makes the entire experience generally excellent. Basically, it’s a nice place to grab a bite and a drink. If you’re in the Springfield area, check it out.

Great little place! I got the meatloaf sandwich, which had a nice combo of a tangy, homemade bbq sauce and a citrus ranch sauce. They had so many sandwich options that it took me a good 10mins to decide what I was getting. I have also heard that the burgers are delicious. The service was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the building.
