Not my favorite sushi, per se, but it was good. The crab was warm… and minced, which threw my palette off, and made the rest of my sushi(and my wife’s, who had a different roll) warm. The miso soup was good and the service was actually great(Thanks Again Brandon!). Lastly, what pushed my review from 4 stars to 3 was music selection. The ambiance of the dining area was decent, but the music selection of the latest pop hits was a big flop for me. I like tunes to compliment the experience, the food, and encourage conversation-not distract from it.

This is one of the few times I have ever left a lower review on something solely because of the service. They are very slow at this place and I mean slooooooow. It takes forever to get anything you order including your drinks. If you don’t have a long time to eat a meal then don’t go here. They also forget to bring you things you ask for repeatedly. I swear our waiter literally forgot we existed the last time we went in. I have eaten here 3 times and this has been my experience each time I have gone. Now, that being said, the food is actually really great. They have a huge selection of sushi rolls and everything is fresh and high quality. The miso soup is excellent as well. If it wasn’t for the terrible service I would have rated it 4 stars but with service that bad I had to downgrade them.

Good sushi, price is decent. The guys making the sushi are pleasant. The wait staff, not so much. It’s OK ’cause you can do carry out.

Although it is slightly more expensive than some other options in Springfield, sushi at Mijuri is extraordinarily fresh and well-made, rendering the minor price difference negligible. The ambiance is just elegant enough to dissuade the pajama-clad from frequenting it, but still casual enough to be comfortable, and the wait staff are ultra-polite and knowledgable.

I’ve been here multiple times and every single time is amazing!!! They have a groupon for $ 40 worth of food for only $ 20. I have purchased 3 haha! It really is super! We get the sea monster roll and the hurricane roll. We always have great service and have never left hungry. Every time you walk in the door the sushi chefs say hello! Great food, great service! Don’t be scared of the exterior this place is awesome!!!

I was passing through Springfield, and this restaurant seemed well regarded, so I decided to try it. Ordered the sashimi dinner, beautifully arranged and fresh! Enjoyed every bite, generous portions of fish. Staff are friendly, prompt, and unobtrusive, I enjoyed my dinner!

This is the best sushi restaurant in Springfield. We go here often and never have had a bad experience. The best rolls are the dragon roll, Alaskan roll, and the tempura style cali roll. Along with fantastic sushi, the service and atmosphere are great. I am scared to try any other sushi places after having a great experience here.

Mijuri had the best sushi I’ve had in a long time! We tried 3 of the lunch rolls and also had fried rice, and steak noodles. My only complaint would be the meat in the noodles was very tough but the flavor was great! Also everyone is very friendly. I’m hoping to get by there again next time I’m in the area!

Very good option for Sushi in Springfield. The building could use a little maintenance and updating from the outside and the inside is a little dated but very clean and nice otherwise. That’s the worst I can say about this place. We did a couple of sushi rolls and a mixed vegetable noodle dish to share and it was plenty of food. They have a great variety of mainstream sushi and a number of their own creations with an interesting twist on several typical sushi rolls. The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend the 007 Roll, even if you’re not a James Bond fan.

Mijiri has the best sushi, service and atmosphere in Springfield! The h3 is our favorite roll. The titanic boat is splendid! In fact tonight we sank the boat!

As someone who has lived on the west coast and in Hawaii, I’ve had some great sushi in my life. Unfortunately, Mijuri sushi isn’t great. The portions are small, and high priced. Everything did taste good, just not worth the price for the quantity you get. The ambiance is a little too dark for me, but I did see families there on a Friday night. We used a Groupon for our experience, and I would only come back if I 1) had another Groupon, and 2) didn’t have any other sushi place to go. I’m already on the lookout for a better Sushi place in Springfield.

Moved here from California. Was aching for some good sushi. This place was tasty. We only tried 3 of the rolls. I thought it was expensive and they don’t offer any complimentary miso soup or salad or anything! I didn’t even get a plate to eat off of. That makes me angry when the rolls are served on a giant plate and two people are supposed to share and eat with the plate in the center of the table and not get food everywhere because they don’t give a plate to put your food on. Ridiculous! I’ll try another dozen places before making this my go to sushi joint. It was $ 38. For two people to share three of the cheaper rolls and have a soda. That’s too expensive for lunch if you ask me. The servers were friendly. One other thing I thought was gross was the shelf rack that holds the condiments and many plates and cups was situated at the bathroom entrance. That’s nasty!

We visited Mijuri on a Tuesday night about 7:00. The place was not packed but had several tables full. We used a Groupon– my favorite way to try new restaurants. Our server was very sweet and attentive– maybe new but nonetheless we received everything we ordered and he was very nice. The gyoza is fried– not steamed :(- but still pretty good. House salad was good– uses a pink sauce dressing like Hinode. We tried the California roll, basic but good, and the teriyaki chicken. Everything was cooked well and served hot. The tab was around $ 40(without $ 20 Groupon) for app, entrée, Sapporo and hot sake. We will probably try more rolls again next time!

Love this place, we eat here for lunch almost every week. They are usually busy, so calling ahead or getting it to go at lunch is a time saver if you are on a time crunch. The bento box lunch special is the way to go, but the mijuri roll and the volcano are two of my faves not included on the lunch special.

The outside of this restaurant may look like it is closed on some occasions, but trust me, it’s not. In fact, this establishment is one of my husband and I’s frequent sushi eateries.(Our other choice is Sushi Village). The service is a bit slow, but that is because on the weekend, they are always packed. Even at lunch, it can be busy. If there is one roll on the menu to recommend(and there are a ton that we love), it is the Volcano roll. Yummy spicy crab, seafood sauce, and an amped-up version of a California roll. Delicious. The best part about Mijuri is the Groupon that they typically offer. $ 20 for $ 40 dollars worth of food or $ 10 for 20. This is a way better deal, plus the rolls are bigger at Mijuri than Haruno or Kai(and you get to miss out on the loud club atmosphere of those restaurants. YAY!). My parents had never tried sushi until we took them to Mijuri. The waiter was very excited to have newbies at the restaurant. We ordered the Volcano roll, Shrimp Tempura, the Mijuri roll, Spicy Crab, and the Tyson roll. We also ordered gyoza and the vegetable noodles to share. Honestly, I had never ordered from the«other» menu and the noodles were a wonderful surprise. The vegetables were cooked crisply and the noodles were a perfect pair to our sushi choices. One of my best friends moved to Seattle and every time she comes home, we have to go to Mijuri. It is that good. Servers are always lovely and so are the chefs that greet you. Choose Mijuri, you won’t be disappointed. ps. It is locally owned. Awesome!

Very hard to find an authentic Japanese sushi bar. I found it here in Springfield. Over the years everyone has jumped on the sushi restaurant wagon. Most are disappointing. This bar was excellent.

You know what’s REALLY weird about Mijuri, guys? From the outside, it looks like it’s been closed for 10 years. That may be why it always seems deserted — it’s like The Leaky Cauldron of Springfield businesses. Harry Potter fans, can I get an amen? Anyway, it most certainly is not closed. I came here for the first time in a few years last night with two friends RIGHT when they opened for dinner at 5 and we had a great time. Our waitress was very prompt, very sweet, and personable, as were both sushi chefs right when we walked in. A+ for service on this evening. Our orders were simple: miso soup, vegetable rolls, and Alaskan rolls(smoked salmon, avocado, and crab). Not an adventurous meal by sushi standards, which I later regretted ever so slightly as the Alaskan rolls came without sauce, though they were beautifully presented. The smoked salmon was a velvety dream and the entire roll(10 small pieces for like 7 dollars) tasted wonderfully fresh. I think a sauce other than obligatory soy would have made them flawless, but they did the job nicely. Oh, and the miso was great — thicker than your usual miso and so aromatic. It was a great mini-appetizer to sushi. I’ll definitely be back to Mijuri(especially over Kai, which draws all of Springfield’s Jersey Shore robots/srat crowd out of their dreaded bar haunts) for my obligatory and oh-so-satisfying sushi fix. For something more adventurous, I might have to keep looking.
