I used to take my car to a corporate owned place, and they treated me well until I came with an issue of my gas gauge not reading. I asked the corporate company to look into it. They said it was probably electrical and sent me to another business. I went to the other business and was informed they could not do the job without a lot of inexpensive hoop-​jumping, including driving my car for a week without the use of any of my dash (including the speedometer).
I took my car to J&S and they quickly diagnosed the problem. Although it was more money than I was hoping to spend, it did fix the problem AND they offered to drive me to/​from work or home. I’ve since moved to the state of Washington and wish I could have brought them with me. The service and price was on point. It did cost to have them diagnose the problem with my car, BUT that money that I paid went TOWARDS the cost of getting it fixed. So if you get it fixed, then essentially getting it diagnosed was free. They were also very helpful and honest in explaining other options including the advantages and disadvantages for other work that I’ve had them do to my car.
