Excellent food and superior service. Fresh meats and some frozen(which is expected) and a good variety of vegetables. For those of you that think the place is dirty your mistaken. It’s a Mongolian grill, of course the floor is dirty where they cook the food. Where you eat and prepare your food is clean which is all that matters to me. I will be back!

Delicious tasty food — and you get to choose it all! Parking: This is part of the mall. On a holiday, it can be packed! Atmosphere: Super casual. People wear sweats or dress up. Service: The wait staff are attentive and constantly get refills for one’s drinks. The cooks are always friendly. Food: I love this place, since I can pick the food I enjoy as well as all the sauces. The buffet bar includes various meats and eggs. The veggies include bamboo shoots, celery, carrots, and more, all chopped so they will cook quickly. Drinks: Various sodas and sparkling water. One can order various drinks with vanilla and cherry.

My wife and I tried this place out a while back. Great food, good service, fair priced. Was crowded the day we went, so was a bit noisy, but we did enjoy ourselves. Kinda cool being able to pick out your food, and watch it being cooked in front of you. I recommend them.

Just had lunch at Huhot. Not bad, but could be a lot better. The selection of meats and vegetables were fresh, but the sauces were so-so. I also ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer, could have been so much better. The plus side, nice servers and entertaining chefs at the grill. Staff were quite friendly.

A simplified, dumbed down version of other, more authentic hibachi grills. I suppose that’s fine for some people, as this is «cashew chicken» country, after all. However, this seems expensive for what you get. They took one small feature of numerous other Asian restaurants and made it the focus of their entire cuisine. The gimmick here is that the patron gets to clumsily construct his/her plate before it goes to the chef where he cooks it to almost-completion(I noticed pieces of meat on my plate were quite chewy). Aaaaand, that’s it! Somehow this is supposed to be a more deluxe version of what I can get down the street for a few dollars less. Yet, somehow it just doesn’t taste as good, and you don’t get as much. On the plus side, the people there are nice, the interior design is interesting to look at, and the food is mediocre.

I’ve been to many Mongolian Grills and this one was amazing! The food was great, plenty of meat, vegetables, and sauce options. Even my two picky kids found something to eat. The prices are fair $ 12.99 for adults, kids 12 and under pay $ 2.99 or less depending on their age. That’s a great deal if you want a nice filling dinner without a huge bill. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the cooks were very entertaining! I’m giving a 4⁄5 only because I was not impressed with the wonton cheesecake dessert, but I will definitely be back to try the make your own s’mores!

I love a good Mongolian grill, unfortunately this isn’t. As others have said, they have some serious problems with cleanliness. Though I have never gotten sick. The wait staff seems bored and uninterested in customers. The food is actually not too bad and they have good sauces. And you can get as much as you want. I get a good laugh from all the hillbillies who come in and can’t figure out how it works.

This place is an atrocity in innumerable ways. First of all the food is not good. Maybe it’s because you are largely left to your own devices as you assemble your plate or maybe it’s because the ingredients are essentially 60% plastic by volume(they have krab with a k as one of their«meat» options). In any case, taste wise Hu Hot is a disaster. Secondly, the buffet line is a mess. Food is strewn everywhere. Raw chicken is near raw beef, clumps of meat have fallen in the sauces, and the vegetable table appears to have been caught in a whirlwind. It looks like there was a zombie apocalypse and some zombies walked into Hu Hot and said«nope we aren’t that hungry» scattered some food and left. Don’t go to Hu Hot. If you want some hibachi go to 4 seasons a little further down on battlefield. If you want pasta, head to avanzare. If you want food suitable to human consumption, go literally anywhere else.

This place would get 5 stars if not for the ridiculous wait in line. Yes, it is all you can eat, if you have 5 hours to eat your meal.

It is exactly what it is. You pick out the food from a buffet style bar and then build your flavor by following a receipt or making your own. Finally, you hand it to the cooks and they make it right in front of you. The cooks on our last visit is what made it a blast. The food is good and the rest is on you to make your choices. I recommend this place a couple times a year type place.

Yuck! Usually not a germaphobe, but this place might make me one! If you want to pickup a bug, this should be at the top of your list. Nasty, nasty!

I absolutely love this style of food. I’m so glad that Springfield has a Hu Hot. What’s better than making whatever you want, however you want, as many times as you want it. I frequent Hu Hot often. The staff is always helpful, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend Hu Hot if you’re in the Battlefield Mall area and craving Asian American food.

Great food, I’m convinced there’s no such thing as a bad combination of food selection/sauces. It all compliments each other. The also offer coupons and deals frequently if you sign up online. Service is usually pretty decent but it has it’s days. Great family orientated place

The bar of half frozen /half fresh foods always looks questionable. Basically, you throw your meat(if you can call it that) and veggies in a bowl, top with some sauce from the disgustingly sticky, dripping sauce bar, then give your bowl to the cook while they try to manage cooking anywhere from 8 – 12 meals at once. People’s stir-fry sauces are running into each other. The biggest thing you can do for yourself is close your eyes and NOT look at the grill they cook your food on. DISGUSTING. I’m not sure how people keep coming back to this place. Imagine the nastiest, most unsanitary kitchen you’ve ever seen. There’s old food and grease piled high on the grill and floor, but somehow it’s justified because they cook it in front of you. Beats me how they can pass a health inspection. On any given day you will stand in line for them to cook your food for 30 minutes. The food is mediocre. Once it cools off it’s pretty well inedible. The wait staff is hit or miss. Our most recent waitress never even brought us the rice we ordered. It took her a half hour to bring us our check after we asked for it. Be prepared to pay $ 13/per person to eat in this bacteria breeding ground of a restaurant.

I came here with a large group on Saturday at noon for my boyfriends birthday. I had never been to HuHot before nor heard of it, but I came with an open mind. Our server was very nice and prompt, always making sure our glasses were full, plates cleared, and taken care of. The restaurants overall execution is functional at best. The time it takes to choose your foods, pick your sauce, and wait to have it prepared averages at least 15 – 20 minutes. As you can assume, with us being a large group, socializing was minimal seeing as everyone was seated and eating at different intervals. The food? Well it was under cooked, and I’ve been extremely sick with a bacterial intestine infection from having only one plate of food. It’s highly likely that I contracted C. Diff from HuHot, and I most definitely will not be returning. Not to mention the price you pay for all your inconveniences, $ 14.00 for a buffet and beverage during a Saturday lunch??? Cedars serves better food for 1⁄3 of the price. Sorry but this place/chain is a huge swing and a miss.

It’s a chain — so I assume that its the same everywhere. I am sad that they got rid of the fried green beans. The lines are always super long to wait to get your food cooked. The food is good — but, it is somewhere that I go for lunch to try to avoid the crowds.

I give it two stars only because I don’t like being harsh. The selection of veggies and meat was nice… although, it resembled the collateral damage I witnessed in the first gulf war. Does anyone have a sanitizer bucket and wet cloth in this place? You’ll especially love the authentic third-world cleanliness of the cooking area. Just like old world China. There’s enough food on the floor and the Mongolian grill shelving to feed a hog farm for a day. The cooks look more like ex-cons than they do Mongolian chefs… and stop all the noisy clanking of your tools. Just cook… you’re not fooling anyone Pedro. Here’s hoping they didn’t just serve me a nice warm plate of Ebola with those noodles

Mrs. M and I went here for lunch with our son and daughter-in-law. We were seated quickly and the interior was very spacious. Lunch on Halloween Friday is obviously a popular time for the lines were long. The food however was very good, not the best Mongolian style food I’ve had, but we enjoyed it and recommend you try too.

This was my friend, Drew’s old stomping ground when he lived in Springfield, MO. Huhot Mongolian Grill is a bright, airy, and big restaurant outside of the Battlefield Mall. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and Kayla was our server. Kayla insisted that the tea was sweet. I’m from the south and tried ordering sweet tea in St. Louis which was unsuccessful. Drew kept calling this place a buffet. When I think of a buffet, I imagine already cooked food. Not the case here. The concept is that you choose from raw meats, fresh vegetables, noodles and sauce to be stirred fried on the grill. I was a little uncomfortable with at this concept but really started to enjoy this process. It was lunch time and fairly crowded. We waited in line for the chefs chefs to cook our food creativity. So, we smelled everyone else food masterpieces. Whenever the patrons tips the chef, they sound the gong. The chefs sout«Huhot!!!» Fun. Different. After the chefs do their magic, we returned to our table where there was a glass of sweet tea and a bowl of rice waiting. The sweet tea did not disappoint. Neither did my dish. It was good very good. So good that Drew and I went for seconds. At the table there are some stir fry combinations if you don’t know what to make. Kayla was an excellent server and we look forward to returning. HUHOT!!!
