Fairfield Inn

I stayed here 4 – 5 nights a week for two months for work. The rooms vary a little, some with more up to date hair dryers. Sometimes I found the light above my sink was way too dim and some rooms it was just right. Each room had a little coffee maker which was so convenient and the staff was always more than happy to bring me more when I ran out.
None the less, my room was always clean and the staff was awesome, I liked how they remembered me. It made being away from home for so long less painful.

Probably the worst Marriott hotel I’ve ever seen or stayed at. I would compare it to a motel 6.

Courtney was WONDERFUL at check in. Nice room quiet even at full capacity, deserves 5 stars!

My 10 yr old daughter and I were in Springfield to see Lincoln sites. We spent two nights here. Very clean rooms and helpful staff. We swam in the pool both nights and found it well kept. Great hot breakfasts – a great stay.

It is an average hotel within the typical groupings of average hotels.
We only stayed one night, but overall not bad.
The room was clean. The staff was pleasant. They had water at the front desk which is nice. The continental breakfast was pretty standard. Though they did offer Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich’s and wraps that you can heat up in the microwave. Not sure if that is a plus or a minus.
The main downfall here is the fact that there is no workout equipment. Bummer.

This is a Fairfield Inn on the the lower end of the scale. The room was updated they need to come back and finish the hallways. Took my family to the pool and both the pool and hot tub were cold. Went to the front desk and told the clerk. We could go across the way to comfort inn, not! Short in January in IL no way. You think that would be on evening staff checklist, make sure pool and tub are warm.

I am a frequent business traveler and this has been one of the worst Marriott properties I have ever stayed at. Many of the FIs are undergoing updates/​rennovations. While the rooms are updated, the hallways and lobby areas are not. The carpets appeared old and dingy. I arrived late (after 10PM) so I was exhausted by the time I got to my room. I unpacked my things, changed for bed, and when I pulled back the sheet, was greeted with a blood stain near the center of the bed. There was a couch in the room as well but it appeared stained. I immediately called down to the front desk. The employee acted like my request for a new room was a huge imposition to him. After several minutes, he finally said he could get me another room and then asked me to come back downstairs for the key. I had to repack all of my things, go down to the front desk, exchange keys, return BACK to the same floor and unpack again. Besides being a disgusting hygiene issue, this was a huge inconvenience/​time delay in my already long day. I got up as soon as possible the next morning to leave.
While I understand my issue may have just been a single mistake, the way the staff handled my complaint was simply unacceptable. I submitted a complaint to the Marriott website and got a half-​hearted response from the property manager that didn’t even include an apology. I will not stay at this property again.

This place was very nice. The room we had was recently updated and was bright and inviting. The sink is outside of the shower and toilet area, but was somehow not part of the room’s update… and it had a tiny amount of counter space. My wife really likes that sink placement. I was quite happy that the windows had screens and opened. I feel like a caged animal when the windows are sealed… how does fresh air get into the room otherwise? The air conditioning worked great and kept us comfortable. Breakfast was free, was open late enough and included junk and good stuff, you could choose! Overall a nice experience. note that not all rooms are fully updated.
