History

Established in 2008.

Attorney David Edwards founded Edwards Group LLC after spending more than a decade at another Springfield law firm. In establishing Edwards Group LLC, David created a different kind of law practice — one that focuses on lifetime planning for real life issues. His goal to create such a firm was unheard of in Central Illinois. Edwards Group is a unique place where the entire office, attorneys and staff, all focus on one thing — creating estate plans that work and flawlessly serve the families they are created for.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Central Illinois, and still surrounded by extended family who taught him about hard work, loyalty and honesty, David Edwards grew up in a home with two school teachers where being an educator was considered a noble profession. The ability to make the complicated seem logical, while guiding others to a deeper understanding seemed instinctive. It was not until David went away to law school at the University of Illinois that he realized most attorneys don’t approach life or their clients with that same perspective. His passion to educate people about effective estate planning is vitally important to the approach he takes in his work as an estate planning attorney.
