Established in 1971.
Bruce Cumming, along with his parents (Art Cumming — the man who would give your the shirt off his back!), and his brother Dennis, opened their flooring store in Springfield in 1969.
Showrooms have changed, salespeople have moved on, carpet fibers have changed to meet our customer’s needs… but Cumming’s commitment and responsiveness has kept us the Number One choice for flooring in the industry.

Business Owner
Bruce has been an owner of Cumming’s Carpet One since it was first established in 1969. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he and his parents and brother moved to Springfield to open a retail flooring store, eager to raise their families in the midwest.
Bruce continues the family tradition of working in the store everyday, treating his customer’s homes as though they were his own.
