I purchased a Groupon for Cleenees to have my apartment cleaned after moving out. I called them and got a quick appointment for the day after I moved out to come and clean it. When I went back to my apartment to let them in, they never showed up. I tried calling them several times throughout the day and the never answered the phone, I just kept being sent to voicemail. I wasn’t able to get in contact with them until Monday and when I did, they told me that my appointment wasn’t in the system. So I scheduled another appointment a couple days later and then they sent me an email at about 9pm the day prior telling me they couldn’t make it. When I tried to contact them to talk to their manager and get a refund they just never replied. They ended up costing me a few days worth of rent and Groupon gave me a refund.
Oh! Annnnnd Cleenees marked my Groupon as used without ever coming to clean.

Nice and tidy after their cleaning. This is a service company on my list I could rely on for cleaning. Four star for competition purposes — not familiar with all the companies in the area. And yeah, lack of communication is not only their fault if it is. I make sure I point out what I need beforehand.

I really should have listened more to the poor reviews of the company, but I thought maybe it was just a fluke or that they used a groupon or a deal to schedule an appointment and they just might not have gotten «good» service because of it.
I went the stupid route, scheduled a cleaning, and agreed to pay their full amount. They did come the first time and did a decent job, but after charging me for a «deep cleaning», they didn’t clean my oven as they stated and charged me for it. After calling their office and notifying them about it, they said that they would do it next time for my next cleaning, which I thought was acceptable.
What they don’t tell you is that there won’t be a next time. I’m still waiting on my second cleaning with Cleenees. As they have now missed three different days that they rescheduled with me. I had to call them and find out where they were, when they never arrived at the scheduled time. I’ve waited 30 minutes two times and an hour another time waiting on their employees to show up. The first time they missed the appointment, I called and they told me that the folks had an emergency. I understand that emergencies happen and said that was fine, but if the company knew about it, why wouldn’t they call to tell me and reschedule? Why am I waiting for an hour before I have to call them? The second time, they thought their maids were on the way and didn’t know where they were. Interesting… I’m sure that’s a sign of a good business when you don’t know where your employees are.
Finally after much complaining and my third time rescheduling, they told me that my next cleaning would be 50% off, so I thought great, I’ll use them once more, get a cheap cleaning, and then be done with them. But, 3 weeks later I’m still waiting for them to come clean my house. They never showed up and never called or emailed.
I strongly advise that you look for another company. If I can save at least a few people from wasting their time and money with Cleenees, then this review is worth it. To be honest I’m not sure how much longer they can stay in business, with the lack of service (both customer and cleaning) they provide. They really should be zero stars, one star is too generous.

Initial phone conversation was great, level of initial cleaning was ok. After that, everything went down hill. Here’s a copy of the email I sent to them, no response back. When I called to follow up and requested that my services be cancelled, they didn’t even ask why. Not my idea of good customer service.
Good Morning,
Please cancel cleaning services at my home effective, immediately. I am cancelling for several reasons, I listed the latest issues below.
— I received a phone call saying there were questions about my services. When I called back, no one could tell me what the questions were. I was told I would receive a call back the next day. A week later and I still never heard anything.
— I received a phone call on Thursday morning (June 5^th) from a new cleaner telling me she was on her way to my house. Two hours later I received a phone call saying there was an emergency and they would not be able to clean my house. Where was she for 2 hours?
— Two water bottles (spray bottles) have gone missing from my home — I’m guessing the cleaners thought they were theirs but how can you accidently take someone else’s spray bottle, twice? Don’t you know how many you come in with and how many you should leave with?
— Last Thursday the bed in the master bedroom was not made. I called on Thursday evening and left a message with my complaint. No phone call back.
— Two bath towels have been ruined because of bleach since Cleenees started cleaning my home.
I expect to receive a confirmation of receipt of this email and cancelling my services within 24 hours or I will take further action.
Disappointing…still no response… off to find another house cleaner, ugh!

Loved the organic deep cleaning! Our house smelled fresh and looked spotless after the ladies left! They were friendly and on time, I don’t have a single complaint. I went and purchased gifts for my friends and family during their specials and they loved the gift! I would absolutely recommend their services, as I have them set up to come monthly!

I had family coming in town so I scheduled their services 3 weeks out from the date. The day before the scheduled visit I called to confirm my appointment just to make sure they were coming. They confirmed that they would be there the next day at 9AM. The next day I get a call at 8AM that they are canceling my appointment which left me screwed. I had to pay someone double for rushed same day service.

What a difference a few months makes. I had Cleenees return for a second service, which was also well-​executed.
I received a call minutes before my next scheduled service to tell me that they could not come due to «car trouble.» We rescheduled for the following weekend. When that appointed time came, unfortunately, Cleenees was absent. I tried calling twice to inquire what was going on and left a message on one of their numbers.
It’s now a week later and I’ve heard zero from Cleenees – but moments ago they charged the credit card I’d used with them previously, despite not actually providing any service. I’ve contacted my bank and will be disputing the charge. Curiously, when I called the number on the transaction receipt, the person who answered stated that they were not Cleenees at all.
I’m quite disappointed. The work that they did was excellent, but the complete lack of follow-​through and follow-​up, plus the unauthorized charging of my credit card, means I certainly won’t be using this service again and encourage others to stay FAR away.

Defiantly recommending this great and helpful company. The work they done was clean and very tidy. Also, what caught my trust is that they are so punctual and organized! Thanks a lot for the work you do!!!

It’d be great if I could write a review of Cleenees’ cleaning services… unfortunately, we never made it that far.
I called to inquire about the services they could provide if I bought a Groupon. They sold me up on a different service. Fine. I arranged to work from home on the day of the appointment… and then got a call on the morning of my scheduled service from one of the cleaners, saying her partner was sick and she couldn’t perform the work alone, and that I should expect a call from Cleenees to reschedule. Several hours later, no call. I called them to try and reschedule. They told me they had to confirm with the cleaners whether my requested time would work and that they would call me back… again, no call. Several calls by ME to THEM later, we’ve rescheduled for a weekend morning… only to have them call me an hour before they were supposed to show the second time around cancelling AGAIN. They said they’d call me the next day to reschedule (AGAIN). They never did.
Don’t waste your time with this company.

If you see their ad on Amazon Local, RUN. I read the positive reviews, listened to «Ms. Maxey» rave about their company only to get totally stood up. No call, no show. And when I called to ask if they were EVER showing up, I get «i was waiting for you to call back to confirm…» yet I was literally staring at my confirmation email while I was on the phone w/​her. I even emailed her at 1PM to verify that they were still coming. I should have known something was amiss after I did not receive a reply. And lucky for us, we purchased on a gift card that has since been discarded by my better half. What a waste of time and money. Are there ANY reliable cleaning services out there?! How could I «reschedule» after this?
I usually don’t get this jammed up about crap like this, b/​c I know good CS is difficult to come by these days. But the fact that I spoke to this woman personally and explained to her why I purchased the deal and all the issues we’ve had w/​other cleaning companies, just makes it that much more baffling. I mean, wouldn’t you want to at least make a good FIRST impression on a potentially new client?

Great company! Today was my first time using them, hadn’t use a cleaning service in years, but finding myself needing some help. Quick service, ontime, a mother daughter team showed up (G & her mom) and did an amazing job. They made a good impression from the time I opened the door — in appearance, smiles on their faces, and dug right in after we discussed what my most pressing needs were. I hope to have them back for special projects (the type of things you never get to… like wiping EVERY blind in every window clean, or dusting under a heavy big bed) Thanks Cleenees!
