I was looking for some noodles that were hot and sour. I wasn’t in the mood for phở or Korean kimchi noodles. I Unilocaled noodles and came across Bangkok Noodle. My first visit here, I was extremely hangry. I was seated right away and I ordered in less than 5 minutes. Our food came out shortly after — but felt like an eternity because I was just so hungry! I was not disappointed when my Paradise Noodles got to me. The first sip of the soup was hot but I was able to savor the sweetness of the broth and the sour tones. The seafood in the soup was fresh and not over cooked even though it’s in a hot bowl of broth. It was a bit steep in price at over $ 16 for a bowl of paradise noodle. My husband ordered the green curry noodles and he ate it all up too. It had a great rich coconut flavor. We also ordered a Thai iced coffee and sticky coconut rice with mango — the total was 39.59 — before tip. It was a bit steep for lunch prices but it was very delicious!

The BF wasn’t feeling well and wanted soup… so why not noodle soup. With the help of Unilocal we discovered Bangkok Noodle was very close to us. It’s an averaged sized restaurant In a strip mall. Décor every clean and simple nothing is overly done. We were probably the only ones in the restaurant after a large party left. The menu is pretty extensive I love how they have pictures. Yay! For seeing the dish you are going to order other then on Unilocal lol. After careful debate since they have such a large selection of noodle soups. I decide the Dee Doo was Fitting and the BF got the paradise noodle soup. We also got crispy rolls. On the back of the menu you can find a picture of all the different types of noodles they offer from thin rice noodles to clear noodles, thick rice noodles egg noodles, wheat noodles. They also have picture of their sauces for fried whole fish. Our crispy rolls arrived first 4 per order with a side of Thai sweet and sour sauce basically the equivalent of Chinese duck sauce. The rolls contained shredded taro, clear vermicelli noodles and carrots and were indeed crispy. Noodle bowls came out and they were actually pretty decently sized reminds of a large phở bowl. The broth was really good spicy and sour similar to Tom yum like minus the coconut milk. Or probably is lol. Either way very flavorful broth noodles were not overcooked or mushy. Came with 3 small fish balls and 2 – 3 pieces of fish cake and bits of ground pork and cooked bean sprouts. Topped with cilantro and fried spring roll wrappers. I think my only gripe was I did t have more crispy spring roll wrappers and more fish balls or fish cakes. Overall if I’m craving Thai noodle soup I think Bangkok noodle has me covered it’d good to know I have other Thai food options other then the staples of pad Thai or drunken noodle.

Taste of the food drastically went down the last couple of times I came here. The noodle soups are always off. My favorite dish the Pad See Ew taste sooo salty and awful the last time. The beef was soggy and not fresh at all. I will probably not return again.

I’ve had Bangkok Noodle bookmarked for awhile and finally had the chance to pop in for dinner. After reading all of the recommendations for the Doo Dee Noodle Soup – mild of course – from my Unilocal friends, I ordered without hesitation. My noodle soup only came with one fish ball, but I was impressed by the taste and seasoning of the soup. It wasn’t too oily or too salty, as other people have described. Surprisingly, you could compare the taste of the soup to pad thai. I had a taste of my friend’s pork and wonton soup with egg noodles. Compared to mine, it had more of a seafood-flavored broth like Vietnamese hu tieu and the red cooked pork was a really delicious compliment to the noodles. Service was a little slow because when my party of 6 slowly arrived, two other parties of 6 – 8 people also came in for dinner. I am eager to return to this spot during quieter hours to try some of the other soups people have been raving about.

I usually LOVE Bangkok Noodle from all the times I’ve been, however my last experience there beg to differ. Ordered the usual floating market noodle soup(one of their best known dishes). Got it in the Thai Spicy which was alright(for my spicy friends you may have liked this one or the level above it). I like my food spicy, but not where I start to feel tingling in my lips. For our appetizer we ordered the calamari and I was highly disappointed. You could clearly tell that the calamari was from a frozen package and was overcooked in the deep fryer. Once we started eating it, I could see the calamari ring out of its batter and it was definitely dry(almost jerky like). I’m hoping this is just a minor hiccup or they were just having an off day, because I truly enjoy the food at Bangkok Noodle, just didn’t at that particular moment.

Love love love this place ! This is one my go to for Thai Soup. I usually go with the paradise soup which has a bit of everything in it. The Spice is perfect for me, but some might find it a little hot. If you talk to the waiter they can adjust this for you as needed . The owner is friendly and always remembers me when I come in to eat . Walls are covered in bright pictures of Thailand which shows off how vibrant a place it must be . Service is always quick and the food comes out fast. I can’t say I have ever had a bad meal here . I like the little spice rack that I use to douse my crispy, fried, starter thingy I always get haha. Sorry I can’t remember the names of some of this stuff.

Nicely decorated and excellent service! My husband loves their doodee soup. Its a noodle soup that is tangy with a kick of spice. You can always ask to up the spice level to help clear your sinuses! Lol It kind of reminds me of a tangier, spicier version of tom yum. We like their massuman curry, drunken noodles, pad thai, kao prow, beef with chinese cabbage(I forgot the name), and a few other dishes. Their spring rolls are good and we love the sauce used on their fried chicken! We’ve been there several times and done carryouts numerous times and have been satisfied each time:)

DOODEENOODLES. Yes I laughed too when I read the name of this particular noodle soup but Doo Dee noodles is the sh*t! The broth is heavy Doo Dee with an irresistible hot and slightly sour taste. The Doo Dee broth is also accompanied by thin rice noodles, ground pork, and fish balls. I mainly come here with my girlfriend so our order is always double Doo Dee. It was also my duty to tell my friends about the Doo Dee and now we eat nothing but Doo Dee. Fair warning though, the Doo Dee is very spicy so if you can’t handle having spicy Doo Dees then don’t order this. Bangkok Noodle may not look super fancy inside but I’ve learned one thing coming here; it aint your beauty, it’s your Doo Dee!

We came to Bangkok Noodle a few times for a quick thai craving fix, but every time I come here i always get pad thai(which I should try different dishes next time). Pad thai is always too wet for me, regardless if it is with beef, chicken, pork, or veggies. The flavor is too sweet and i just didn’t like the flavor. I like their other dishes like red curry, paradise noodle soup(recommended if you like SPICYFOOD). The place is very clean and have decent customer services. We will definitely be back for other dishes but not for pad thai anymore.

We came for dinner and we were very impressed. We had fried chicken basil, Thai fried rice, and Market soup. The food was great, with lots of flavor, and the spice was just right. Their customer service was very friendly and professional. The exterior of the place doesn’t catch your eye but once inside their décor is beautiful, combo of Thai and modern chic. We will definitely come back.

I love Bangkok Noodle! Everything I’ve tried here is yummy! I love Thai food, and this was a good alternative to the usual noodle or fried rice dishes. The noodles soups are soo good. You can change the type of noodles or the amount of spiciness for your liking. The first time I went here all my friends and I ordered something different: + Paradise Soup — Everyone on Unilocal says to get this. It is a must-have dish if it is your first time!(Cellophane noodles with seafood, fish balls, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, topped with crispy bacon and a boiled egg in a hot and sour broth.) Basically everything in it. + Doo Dee Soup — It’s like the Paradise Soup but doesn’t have everythinggg. + Floating Market Soup — My friend got this extra extra spicy. He was sweating.(Thin rice noodles with beef slices, beef stew, meat balls, tendons, liver, beef tripe, bean sprouts and Chinese broccoli in a spicy herb broth) + Green Curry Noodles — This is exactly what you’d expect it to be. Green curry, but with noodles. My friend said it wasn’t his favorite, but it was still good. + Drunken Noodles — Their drunken noodles were really good, and not too greasy. Always one of my go-to dishes at Thai places. I posted about this on Instagram and all my friends love this place as well. They all commented telling me to invite them next time so they could come here again!

I woke up on Ash Wednesday and remembered that I could not have meat today, so I was a grumpy grannie. My potato boyfriend suggested we try to eat vegetarian Thai food… what? Impossible. How in the world could I eat scrumptious Pad Thai without that succulent chicken in it? Not feeling very optimistic and missing my chicken, I tried the Drunken noodle dish and potato got the fried rice. Surprisingly, I did not miss the meat at all! The sauce to the Drunken noodle was just right and it was not drenched in oil like other Thai places. The vegetables gave a really nice crunch and complimented the flavorful sauce. For those of you following my boyfriend and I on our quest to eat at all the Thai restaurants in VA, you know he is a spice freak. He loves spicy food, especially the kind that makes you want to soak your tongue in cold water for hours. I don’t know why, but for those of you who are like him, he approves of this place and their spiciness. Interior is beautiful and simple, theme is carried out through out the restaurant. I have no complaint about the staff, only praise for this entire establishment.

Really can’t beat the lunch specials here in terms of price and quantity. For 8.95, you get a soup, spring roll, and entrée, and everything I’ve tasted has been delicious. My personal favorites are the pad thai and the green curry. They are plentiful with their veggies and tofu. Unfortunately, you can’t sub white rice with brown rice. But, hopefully they will add that in the future. Service is great as well. 5 stars!

YUM!!! My second time around was so much better!!! The food was MUCH better. We tried a bunch of the dishes, and soups. My sister had the doo dee(LOL at the name) which I had the last visit and I opted for the wonton soup. I requested it to be Chef’s hot. They kept telling me it was SUPER spicy and they did NOT disappoint. The soup I ordered has 0 roosters, but they kicked it up LOL. Last time, I had to add the chili flakes to my soup(the doo dee) and I felt it was overly sweet. This time I tried my sisters and felt it was so much better/balanced. She said she’s opting for american hot(she went with mexican hot). The boys ordered dishes. Drunken noodles, and something off the chef’s menu. I can’t recall the name but the dish was delicious! Drunken noodles were good too: D I’ll def be back: P

A year later, and I’m still just as in love with Bangkok Noodle as I was the first time around. With enough visits, I had finally come around to trying other things on the menu besides the Doo Dee Noodle Soup. Nothing disappoints. There are a plethora of Thai restaurants near my apartment, but I come down to Bangkok Noodle because their drunken noodles are unbeatable, especially when you order it with big, plump, juicy shrimp. Friends whom I’ve dragged along with me to Springfield were blown away by their Lava Fried Rice — truly some of the best(and spiciest!) fried rice we’ve ever had. I can’t find a flaw here, seriously. The restaurant is well-decorated and spacious, the folks are friendly, the owner Tom is almost always around to greet you, the prices are very reasonable(especially if you go during lunch), THEYHAVEFREEWIFI(!!!), and everything is cooked to your liking. Springfield isn’t exactly the most accessible location, but hey, I’m glad the folks who live there have an amazing Thai option nearby.

I’ve written a review before and my opinion of this restaurant hasn’t changed. This place is so good and well-taken care of. I usually come here Mon-Fri before 3p because of their unbeatable lunch special! You get one of their famous entrees with a soup and crispy roll for only $ 7.95!

Tuesday evening, we’re here. Ordered 2 spicy wings«Mexican hot». Pad Thai and Thai iced tea, half of the regular amount of milk, I like it that way. The service is quick, only us! The place is well taken care of, very modern, particularly large space. Bathroom requires a flashlight and map bring your camping gear! Just kiddin’. Spicy chicken wings, ordered the sauce on the side, not so «Mexican hot». The breeding is crunchy and comes out hot with a cute spoon for the rice. Also comes with shredded carrots nested lettuce. Shredded carrots looked like a day old. Pad Thai had a tasty sauce, but not enough noodles. It also missed cilantro :(. Nothing else to say about it. Thai iced tea was on the watery side, way too much ice. Defeats the purpose of the tea supposedly. Near the end of the meal, 3 sets of people waltzed in to come and eat. Now it’s not as quiet as it was before. However, it turned out to be not as good as rated. 3 and ½ out of 5. Not such a great first impression, I’ll probably not come back anytime soon.

Always satisfied when I come here. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Today I decided to get the floating market noodle soup with extra liver :) it was amazing as always. I ordered the chicken pad see ew for the kids which is always so flavorful. Their Thai iced tea is very good too! Definitely would dine here more if we lived closer but I stop by every chance I get.
