We are located just outside the Main Entrance to Zion National Park. We have the perfect gear to make your visit to Zion unforgettable. We offer guided hikes inside the park canyoneering adventures. We have bicycles rentals, perfect for a leisurely ride through Zion Canyon; Dry suits, canyoneering shoes, and neoprene socks to hike the Zion Narrows, Wetsuits, harnesses and helmet rentals for canyoneering adventures and tubes to float down the Virgin River.
History
Established in 2011.
Zion Outfitter started out renting bicycles, Narrows gear and river tubes, in just a few seasons we expanded and now offer guided hikes in Zion, canyoneering adventures and shuttle services in addition.
Meet the Manager
James M.
Manager
James grew up in the mountains of Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. After spending his first week long back packing trip in the Wind Rivers. He decided to devote his life to outdoor recreation.
He began his studies in Leadville, Co, in 2001; he spent most of his time bagging 14er’s and attending Colorado Mountain College as a Outdoor Recreation Major. While in Colorado he certified as a Wilderness First Responder and as a Fly Fishing Guide.
After leaving Colorado he returned to Utah for a brief hiatus from school and attended to family responsibilities. Returning to school at Southern Utah University to finish his Outdoor Recreation degree; he discovered a passion for canyoneering after attending a course at S.U.U. He quickly moved on to advanced training through the American Canyoneering Association and spent a little over a year as an intern for the association.
In his free time he enjoys canyoneering, bouldering, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.
