Wright Smiles Pediatric Dentistry

Dr Wright and her team are excellent with children! My daughter was sedated and had several fillings. The office is clean and beautiful. The work that was performed was excellent. I would recommend this office to anyone with children, especially apprehensive kids.

If I could go back in time, I would want to come to Wright Smiles as a child for my dentistry needs. My pediatric dentist of the past was wonderful, I think, but I remember waiting a long time in waiting room and being bored out of mind. Actually, I waited in the waiting room with my mom and then waited in the waiting area outside the rows of dentist chairs and usually fell asleep during the second wait time. Wright Smiles is what all pediatric dentist offices should be like: fun, soothing, happy, efficient, and quick.
The receptionists, hygenists, and Dr. Wright are all wonderful, welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere is never foreboding or dismal, and I have yet to hear any kids screaming or crying. The waiting area has three television monitors that kids can play playstation games on which appeals to the olders ones and the younger kids have the more traditional play tables to involve themselves in. There is a beautiful fish tank which they can look at as well and another television playing Nickelodeon, Disney, or an animated movie. The wait is never too long and the kids usually do not want to leave the waiting area, but low and behold, to get them to the back, there are television monitors which they can watch and adjust above their dentist chairs!
The back room is not intimidating whatsoever. Each chair is sectioned off with partial walls so that the kids cannot see what is happening with other children, not that anything terrifying is going on. The chairs are comfortable and can seat a parent if the need arises for the child to sit with one; yes, I had to do that with my youngest. They provide sunglasses if the light bothers your child’s eyes and most of the time your child’s attention is directed towards the television, so they let the dentist or hygenist do whatever they want. By the way, the child can pick from a variety of shows to watch and they can pick from a spread of delicious toothpaste flavours to make their teeth sparkling clean. Of course, the staff cannot make the x-​rays any more fun, but they try to make them as comfortable as possible. They also show and explain them to the parents well in order to inform us as to what to expect in the future, hello, braces!
In the end, your children receive a goody bag with the standard super cool toothbrush, floss, flosser, and a token to be used in the office’s treat dispenser, which is the highlight of the visit for my kids. They can choose from an assortment of silly bands, bouncy balls, tattoos, little plastic animals, or sticky hands/​lizards, etc. My kids absolutely love going to they dentist because of this office and we will surely miss it when we move!
