I really liked Dr. Meclosky. He does the cleaning and all dental work. The office is comfortable and visually appealing. Note, however, that I said liked in past tense. Although I think he is a great dentist, he is no longer my dentist. I don’t know if he was burned hard in the past, or maybe he is having financial trouble, but the office treated my family like delinquents over $ 3.
We always pay at time of service, as required. The office made a miscalculation and billed us for $ 3. We were in the process of moving and somehow the bill was missed. The next bill we received was for $ 18 = $ 3 +$ 15 late fee and a threat that we would be turned into a collection agency if it was not paid by the end of the week! Even more upsetting, the next cleaning was scheduled for next month so they would be able to get $ 3 from me at that time. Both my husband and I had our teeth cleaned every 6 months and the dentist couldn’t wait until the next appointment to collect $ 3? Willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a collection agency for $ 3 bill? My family was loyal for years. We didn’t deserve that disrespect and Dr. Meclosky received the boot.
