Twisted Yarns is a specialty knitting store specializing in yarns for knitting and crochet, as well as fiber and roving for spinners and weavers. We are staffed by experienced instructors who teach classes as well as offer private project-​oriented lessons during regular business hours. Twisted Yarns supports local charities through monetary donations and finished items such as hats, blankets, socks, shawls and more. Customers are welcome to join other fiber enthusiasts throughout the week to sit and knit, crochet, spin, or weave.

Established in 2004.

Established by Shelley and Eve in 2004, and subsequently sold to Janet Russell in July, 2014

Business Owner

Janet purchased Twisted Yarns in July 2014, when previous owners Eve & Shelley were ready to sell their successful 10-​year old shop. A former employee, Janet had been a staff member for 9 years prior to becoming the owner. She has continued nearly all of the traditions and practices (and frequent shopper rewards!) that made Twisted Yarns such a fun and inviting place. She remains committed to a vibrant community of fiber lovers who frequent the shop and enjoy sitting and knitting with like-​minded enthusiasts.
