WORST. WAX. EVER. I never review places, but I had to spare any potential customers the pain and frustration. However, I got a package and the other services were decent… If you’re looking to get a wax, keep reading for specific details. Otherwise– stick to massages and facials– those were good. So the lady that gave me my Brazilian wax is apparently the mom of the one that did my facial(not sure of their names). She was utterly incompetent. They use hard blue wax, which in my extensive waxing experience is usually faster and much less painful. Somehow, she managed to sidestep that. Here’s a list of her offenses: –She rubbed baby oil all over the hair FIRST. And of course, this caused the wax to not catch the hair, and she needed multiple attempts over the same areas. She finally used a towel to wipe off the oil before trying a third time on the most sensitive of spots. –She didn’t wait long enough to let the wax cool and harden before pulling. This resulted in broken strips, multiple pulls, and lots of hair left over. Again– multiple passes over the same area. –She started at the top and worked down/back. So every time she used a finger to pull up a corner to be able to grab and pull, she ended up pulling out single hairs– excrutiating. –When applying the wax, she’d start out going downwards with the stick about halfway, then go from down to up for the other half, then kinda go back-and-forth sideways in the middle– like she was icing a cake! So when the hairs are all going different ways, and you pull in a single direction, do you expect that to be easy and painless?! –After about 45 minutes of this, she hands me a mirror and asks me to check and see if it’s «good enough». I did not even need it– I looked down and could clearly see a TON of hair that she had missed. When I complained, she proceeded to tell me that I have«too much hair for the wax to all get». Um, WHAT?! I’ve never had that problem before, and uh, isn’t that the point of a Brazilian– to be completely hair-free?! Anyway, so two more passes later, I gave up and told her yes, it was«good enough». –She covered both«sides» at the same time(as usual), but then CONNECTEDTHEMINTHEMIDDLE, in that most sensitive of areas. Wanna know what happened when she pulled? Half attached to me, she needed to pull TWICE on each side, and twice again in the middle. –And speaking of shoddy pulling, I believe that with the exception of just two strips, she needed multiple attempts at removing each and every strip. It might have been 3 successful strips, I’m not sure– my PTSD is clouding my memory of it already. –There was SOMUCH wax bits left over, all over! And she used her fingers to pull them off– many still attached to hair!!! –And last but not least, she brings in a towel drenched in ICECOLDWATER and throws it over my area. When I screeched in horror, surprise, and pain, she giggled and said«oh, it’s a bit cold, huh? It’s supposed to refresh you!» REALLY?! I am thoroughly traumatized and completely appalled by this experience. Although the massage, and facial were both divine, I had the bad fortune of having the same lady do my mani/pedi, which were also horrific. A nice full circle, I guess? Nothing in the world would compel me to return, and I highly suggest everyone stay away!

I bought a Groupon for a Dry Lounge mud bath/body scrub as a gift for my mom. She invited a friend along and they went to this place for the first time together. I thought it would be a nice, relaxing experience for my mom, but unfortunately she did not get the treatment and respect that any customer should be able to expect from a spa. She told me that the staff was rude, and gave her the runaround regarding the Groupon. I’m sorry that I put my trust in this business. Maybe my mom and her friend just didn’t fit the mold of their ideal customers? They lost any potential repeat business they might have gotten from my mom, her friend, and all of their other friends. Shameful!

Awesome place! They are brand new owners and have taken the place and transformed it. Bright and modern décor everywhere. Every single member of the staff is so sweet and welcoming. I have had a few pedicures there and the manicurist Stephanie is great! She has many designs to offer and works very have to make sure it looks good and you are happy. My 13yr old niece is not a girly girl but loves coming here with me now to get her nails done! I have had my hair cut and colored by Blasa and Liz and I have very long and thick hair, both the cut and color were superb. Blasa made my hair look great, my sister had her cut hers from mid back all the way up to a modern bob and she worked with her till it was exactly right and my sister left happy and has gotten SO many compliments! My color was also EXACTLY what I wanted, and I cant tell you how many times I have paid almost double only to have it done and get«convinced» by a stylist that this was what I wanted or even better. None of that here! Liz will either do what you want and if it cant/shouldn’t be done then you will be advised UPFRONT. The price and service are what keeps me coming back. I have a «place» now and because people are always commenting on my hair/nails I always recommend them!
