They are very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodation. Laney is great! She listened to exactly what I wanted and then did it with out any issues! The is my go to nail place now,

I should have read reviews before entering, but my mother-in-law was visiting and it was spur of the moment. We both got pedis. Not sure what my nail techs name was, but she did a half ass job! Didn’t even file my nails! Just cut, buffed and painted. I could have done a better job at home for $ 30+ Will not be returning.

Hate to do this– but my entire experience at this nail salon was weak. I stopped in after work because the location is convenient, hoping to get a last minute pedi relaxation after a long day at work. Its a pedi– you basically cant go wrong. Walk in, theres a gentleman on the phone having a clearly personal convo– i wait for him to make some time for me. Annoyed he asks what service i am looking for. I ask for a pedi with one of the techs recommended in another’s Unilocal review– all but 1 no longer work there and the 1 that does was busy. I ask for a pedi with someone good and explain i am happy to wait for a good tech. He glances over to a tech who is just sitting around and says«i dont know, are you a good tech?» Totally puts me on the spot. So i pick out a color and go with the free tech. He explains that they will log your color in the comp for future ref and all their colors are organized by number on shelfs– the only nice thing about the whole experience. Also i was offered a bottle of water. I sit in the chair and make myself comfy. Pedi was weak– tech was either super not into my toes and involved in a convo with her fellow tech next to her(who seemed to be doing an AWESOME job) or she was extremely inexperienced. She dug into my cuticles hard a couple of times and did not do a thorough(below basic standards) job of soaking, scrubbing and grooming. Paint job was ok. She was nice but didn’t seem to be phased at the fact that i was clearly unhappy. I was shoved to a nail dryer and left to basically walk out the door if i wasn’t so honest. Pay situation was the same– man on phone. Annoyed again he told me the total and i gave him my card. He asked how everything was and i said«meh, ok» when he asked why i told him. Defensively he told me i did not request a pedi upgrade service. Ok– ive had many basic pedis at half the cost at other places that have been great– so i guess we are dealing with lower standards for more $. He asked so i told him calmly. No apology, just defense from the guy. Was he the manager? The owner? No idea. I was finally offered a discount and for a note to be placed in the comp to not have that tech again. The salon is ok– live concerts playing on tvs with music– massage chairs– the typical environment. Customer service needs work and techs need to have skills before having paying clients to work on.

Groupie Status: I’ve been a fanatic for this place for several years, and I’ve probably had every nail tech there! That said, I have found out the hard way that WHO you have can make or break the experience. Most of their techs are fabulous, detailed, picky, nice, and very good!(See: Kelvin, Christina, Annie, Thao.) But there have been a few bad apples… rude, eyerolls, imperfect/rushed jobs. I’ve learned that you can specifically say you never want them again, and they put it in the computer for future bookings. You can also book online and choose your tech. Selection: They have every color of OPI ever made in the history of ever… and they keep track for you so you can say, as I have(*hangs head in shame*), «I had this awesome red, like, 2 or 3 times ago???» And bam, there it is! I have natural nails that are my pride and joy, but they do have the Shellac in every shade imaginable and I see them doing solars regularly, although I cannot speak to the quality/experience. Treatment: Others say there’s been a hard upsell… I’ve never experienced that, but of course YMMV. I am always offered a deluxe this or that, but simply say no thanks, and we move on. The staff has always been very pleasant and accommodating wherever possible. I did overhear a dissatisfied client going off on the front desk guy last week, and watched from the sidelines, popcorn in hand, as he listened carefully to her(First World, drama queen, inflated, rich lady, you-gotta-be-kidding-me) gripes and offered about a gazillion times to have her mani redone, give it to her free, slaughter the tech and give her the still-beating heart on a bed of ground spinal vertebrae, whatever she wanted… but there are some people you will never, ever please. When I’ve been unhappy, or even just ruined a nail on my way out the door as I am Vice-President of Klutzytown, they have always hooked me up. Atmosphere: FANTASTIC. They keep concert DVDs running so you have something to watch if you want or something to just listen to if you’d rather just nod off in the chair, snore, and drool. *ahem* Everything is clean, sterilized practically right under your nose… they use new stuff on each client. I am an antiseptic, cleanliness freak and I LOVETHIS. And I can honestly say I’ve never been to a salon that employed a person full time to just cleancleanclean, nonstop! Lady is like a freaking Roomba! They do get very, very busy and the place gets crowded, which is annoying when you’re trying to walk around without having your freshly-painted toes stepped on, and sometimes causes a wait for the nail dryers, but that’s about the only«con» I can think of. Cost: A little more than many places, a little less than a few… but(to me) not bad. Because you get what you pay for.

This place is horrible. Rude rude employees and poor quality. Very high priced and save your money and go somewhere else.

This place is supposed to be the Hoo HA of the Woodlands so i decided to try them out… I must say when I got there I was surprised to see that they had EVERY color that OPI had… Along with that, the people asked me to pick a color and recorded it for the next time in case I wanted it again… They also used a new file and buffer on every client. I thought this was a very good thing because other salons use the same on everyone it seems. One word, Cleanliness! Prices were a little above average but you defiantly get what you pay for! Friendly people! Will return again to try other things they offer~

This place is ridiculous. The girl with the pierced face that works the reception desk is extremely rude. I purchased a coupon from Living Social for this place, hoping to find a great mani/pedi place in The Woodlands that I can make my own. They put so many restrictions on this coupon(note– these were NOT included in the fine print in the coupon, but they have put a sign out that pretty much says«we don’t care what the fine print says») that after 2 attempts use it, I had to ask for my money back. They actually turned me away after I made an appointment online b/c the specific manicurist I booked with«doesn’t accept Living Social”~ yet they made no effort to help me make another appointment or accomodate me at all. This was Friday at 1 pm. They weren’t busy. Why offer the stupid coupon if you’re gonna make it so tough to use?! And PS, I PAID for this coupon. I didn’t cut it out of the newspaper. Get a grip. The management here needs a good talking to or shakin’ of the shoulders. And they need to get someone friendly to help customers, as whoever the girl is working the front desk has no people skills. I wouldn’t go to this place for a FREE mani/pedi.

As I’m new to the area, I went in hoping to have found«my» new nail salon, since it’s so close to my house. I had done some research beforehand, and it seemed to get good reviews. Unfortunately for me, I had to keep looking. The check-in process was smooth enough, picking a color and all that. I told the man at the register what I wanted(regular mani/regular pedi), and I was led back by another young gentleman(didn’t catch his name). Although I told the man at the register what I wanted, I was repeatedly asked if I wanted other services during my mani/pedi. After declining the deluxe pedicure, I was asked by the young gentleman if I wanted some manicure that costs $ 30+. I didn’t really understand what he was asking me, so I asked if I could see what he was talking about. He pointed to a woman whose fingers were in some sort of machine, but I still didn’t get it, so I declined. He didn’t seem too happy that I wasted his time, and it showed in the rough hand and leg massage part during the mani/pedi. Overall, the experience wasn’t very relaxing. Between the upselling and the rough mani/pedi(he drew blood on one of my cuticles and it developed into a mini scab the next day), I didn’t quite get the experience I was hoping for. The paint job was decent enough, though. Note — this place is big on the upsell. All of the woman near me were asked the same«Deluxe pedicure?» question, so it wasn’t just me. As I was getting ready to pay at the register, I was told it would be a few bucks more than what the website says. I told the cashier, and he told me that it was a mistake, as this Nails of America location is separate from the others, but the person who manages the website hasn’t changed it. Okayyyy. So I forked over the extra few bucks and continued on my search for«my» new salon.
