Established in 1982.

Michael Shawn Kelly founded Mirror Lake Designs in 1982 after graduating from Texas A&M University with degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Design.

For thirty three years Shawn has designed and installed international award-​winning pool and landscape designs in The Woodlands and greater Houston area.

With a degree in both horticulture and landscape architecture, and a cultivated mixture of professional design and hard labor. Mirror Lake was born out of the extra bedroom in a modest home in North Houston. I was working seventy-​five-​hour weeks in an industry that my mother, with chagrin, referred to as a «seasonal occupation». Over the years Mirror Lake has grown, and with it, so have my client’s desires.

As a landscape architect, I am asked to create special places that set the stage for great family memories. In our design process we are called to be masters of an array of disciplines. We blend our expertise in construction, design, horticulture and project management to develop pools and gardens that respond to our clients’ goals. And when I see how our designs excite and enliven every individual in the home, I smile.
