Julie Henson, DVM

Veterinarian, Practice Owner

Dr. Henson grew up in the Clear Lake area, south of Houston. While in high school, she was granted the opportunity to work at a veterinary hospital, and knew from that point on she would be a vet one day. Dr. Henson graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and did her undergraduate at The University of Texas in Austin.

To maintain a high quality of care, Dr. Henson completes around 50 hours of continuing education every year to keep up with the ever-​changing world of veterinary medicine. She is a member of the Harrison County and Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Associations, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Business Women’s Association.

Business Owner

Julie Henson has been married for 12 years to her husband Fritz, and has two pets. Kirby is a sweet Catahoula and Smokey was a clinic kitty that went home with her.

She is an avid saltwater wade-​fisherman and caught a grand-​prize tagged redfish in the CCA STAR tournament in 2004. She ran and completed the Houston Half-​Marathon in 2006 to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
