Ok, where do I start staff untrained, you have to make a line to pay for tacos or whatever pay for the drink go to the counter where the food is and you find a lady untrained serving with almost bare hands with more than 4 or 5 people waiting and there are two old lady’s on the back just«working and«laughing«and this untrained person is taking care of the food, this was around 3:30 so I can’t imaging at lunch hour, it takes around 20 – 30 mm to actually sit down and eat, now if you still a little hungry and want one more taco or something else well you got to do it all over again, not WORTHIT, for one taco, good is ok not worth the hassle plz don’t say that this is a Mexican place because is not is a weird place where they sell tacos and vegetables it’s just weird all around, I will try to avoid this place and you guys should do too

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes the meat is great, sometimes not so much. Sometimes the produce is great, sometimes not so much. No matter what, I keep shopping here because they have a lot of great Latin American products.

This is a Mexican market and restaurant. It’s a bit dirty and there’s not enough clerks, which is the reason for the loss of that fifth star. However, the selection is eclectic, varied, and relatively inexpensive. Plus, you can get some pretty decent and authentic Mexican food while you shop. Just be warned that the food may not be the cleanest you’ve ever eaten.

Fresh meat GAlore! The selection stretches across the back of this market… offering pre-seasoned, pre-cut/or not, and by the pound. You’ll find the best prices in town here.($ 2.79/lb for seasoned fajita, $ 1.79/lb for chorizo, $ 2.99/lb for pre-seasoned pork ribs, 3 bunches of cilantro for $.99, and key limes 30 for $.99). The pan dulce is fresh and perfect, too.

I am happy to say the manager of the store was very apologetic that the problem was not taken care of immediatley. He replaced the missing meat, which we had for dinner this evening. It was very good and their prices are very good also. I will be a regular customer.

It’s nice to know there is a Mexican grocery store/meat market that’s north of 1960 in Spring and close to the Woodlands. It’s located in the first strip center on the NE corner of I-45 and 2920(alias Spring Cypress). Now the fun begins. You walk into this relaxed atmosphere little Mexican grocery/meat market where your culinary ideas blossom. On the right side is the Mexican beers. Ah yes Modelo to marinate my beef fajitas. Past that is the Mexican grocery section fav’s and some some American grocery items(American foods — a little pricey but not outrageous). The pre packaged Mex cheeses are next, in case you’re not going to use them immediately to cook with. In the center are the veggies and fruits well priced and authentic. Avocados, cilantro and apples .25 each special. Small limes 25/.99. Poblano peppers 10″ long. Plan on making some stuffed chile rellenos with those big babies. Next is the little bulk section of hot peppers and beans. Yummy assortment of Mex sweet breads and pastries to the left which are self serve behind glass and many well priced 3/1.19 and .75 each. The fresh meats extend across the entire back wall. They have a a selection of pre-cut and seasoned meats ready to cook your fav recipes. Also there’s the authentic Mex chorizo and a plethora of fresh meats. Great curb appeal you might add on how nice they display the meats. You have to check it out to really know what I mean. Sweet hispanic man behind the counter only speaks Spanish. Just use your muy poquito espanol or point if you don’t speak Spanish. Next are the fresh mouth watering Mex cheeses. Last on the tour to the left is their taqueria. I was her around 4 – 5 pm and obviously wasn’t prime time. The nice variety of cooked meats all had that dried out look on their surface. WTH I gave it a try anyways. I ordered the Platillo for $ 5.99 which gives you a choice of 2 meats, beans, rice, tortillas and the condiment/salsa bar. I ordered the Barbacoa and Al Pastor. Rec’d huge meat portions of both. The Barbacoa was very juicy but fattier than I’ve ever had. The Al Pastor had tender and chewy pieces in it, not impressed. Beans, rice, tortillas and condiment bar all ok. Warning no complimentary water so purchase your drink and food together at register if your going to dine in. The taqueria section has many less pricey options but some are only available on the weekends.
