FIRSTIMPRESSION: Positive *thumbs up for Round 1* Seems like a great potential«hole in the wall» Food was good(Ordered Shrimp Avocado Omelet). I do not consume poultry unless I know they service hormone free, injection free, natural chicken… otherwise, I am strictly veggies and seafood. Overall, Excellent Service in the morning. The morning servers were very pleasant.

I try to come to this diner at least once every time I visit Houston and I highly recommended it for all! The food is excellent, the service is excellent(super attentive), and the hot cocoa brings a heart warming smile to my face. Every time I have come, there’s no wait, and they invite you to seat yourself and a friendly waitress will be right over. I appreciate the diner atmosphere that they’ve upheld. You’d never know this is what was in this little shopping center. It’s a corner gem! If ordering breakfast and you can’t decide between pancake or French toast, go with the French toast. I’ve had it many times and they haven’t went wrong. I’ve heard the pancakes are good, but in my opinion the french toast looks better. For those mathematically challenged, they make the tipping easy for you by giving you the various totals including varying tip percentages on your check. It’s awesome from start to finish. I’ll be back! For French toast…

I was very impressed with the menu, cleanliness and friendly staff. It was packed for breakfast which is always a great sign. I ordered barbacoa tacos and my husband ordered an omelet and pancakes. I was extremely impressed with the barbacoa — not many places can get this right and I-45 Diner did! I got them on flour tortillas, which to my surprise — were homemade. We’ll definitely be back!

Don’t come here if you are in a hurry to eat or are very hungry this is not the place for you, for despite their friendly service the food comes out slow. This is true even when there are very few people there, guess they have slow cooks. The waitresses also have a tendency of abandoning the table for long periods with out giving you refill for your long long wait for the food, bad combo no drink refills with a slow kitchen. And the food is barley ok, the bacon on the BLT was freezing cold. The food came out staggered 2 dishes at a time with about 15 minutes in between. This place used to be ok now it just sucks. We canceled the rest of our order and not even a word or apology or explanation why they couldn’t make a chicken sandwich in an hour in an empty restaurant.

The chicken fried steak is good and so are the burgers but… We ordered cheese fries and paid an extra dollar for the cheese and barely got any fries covered with it. Also, we ordered the Mac n cheese thinking it would be a homemade flavor but it was Kraft from the box. Very disappointing. And the garlic bread was Texas Toast from the freezer aisle. Also disappointing. Sigh,…

This little hidden gem deserves to be noticed. In the end of a strip mall so you might not see it or know it’s a restaurant. The food is fantastic. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The MENU is extensive. They have everything. I’m serious that it is so hard to choose. I love the eggs Benedict!

So this is like your American diner. Your typical old fashion foods, however we do not eat bread, the waitress said well how about extra bacon or fruit. Do your typical breakfast chains offer this«NO» they do not. What a great concept. Sit where you like, waitstaff average attentive. Our breakfast was good had to ask once for refill on husbands tea, but other than that we will visit again when on this side of town.

Me and the kids stopped in last night for dinner. They had a decently packed house and friendly waitresses. I love the family friendly atmosphere. My daughter and I ordered breakfast plates for dinner. The kids portion was big and the pancakes extra fluffy. My son ordered the grilled tilapia and it was seasoned nicely. You could taste the butter in it. I treated them to dessert and got their thumbs up on the cheesecake and strawberry shake. They devoured it so fast I didn’t have time to take a picture. I think we’ll be coming here from now on instead of Denny’s and IHOP. Money well spent.

Stopped by for breakfast one morning. Despite the busy morning rush, the waitress was very friendly and attentive! The pancakes are so fluffy! Eggs and bacon were cooked exactly like I asked. And my coffee cup was never empty. There was a small error with our check, but our waitress was more than happy to correct the issue. I will definitely be stopping in again!

This was my first time to go here. I enjoyed seeing so many people at this location. Everyone greeted me when I walked in. They waited on us promptly and got our drinks and orders in a timely manner. Only downfall was that I ordered chicken fried steak, but I was given chicken fried chicken. It was so good that when I noticed, I was about half way done. I won’t let that detour me from coming back again. Great food, great atmosphere, great people, and great service. Also, kudos to the people who offered to pay for the officers meals!

Wonderful food, and great service. Ordered eggs over medium and they actually cooked them correctly, where as most places just cook them over easy. Wife had a non traditional order that isn’t in there system, and the waiter tilled with it, and the food came out perfectly, and quickly. My glass of water and her cup of coffee were never empty. Bill totaled out under $ 20. Would definitely recommend this breakfast joint.

Barbacoa tacos were delicious. My boyfriend had the fajita omelette that was huge and strawberry cheesecake pancakes which were fluffy.

The food looks great and for the most part it is however, the only thing is it’s missing some flavor. A little salt and pepper or maybe sauté the onions and peppers in some butter can take those potatoes and the inside of the omelette great! That is all

This is my review after more than a half a dozen visits. We’ve ordered everything here from breakfast plates(excellent every time;a hundred times better than IHOP or Denny’s), and like the pictures posted served in Huge portions. My kid’s favorite, the double cheeseburgers, huge, moist and delish every time we ordered it. My husband’s and I personal favorite is the sirloin strip and eggs. I’ve ordered it twice so far and has always been impressed at how tender the steak and how I receives a nice and runny sunny side up eggs, to my liking. This is a solid diner with friendly efficient customer service, with very reasonable prices.

If you’re looking for diner food then this place hits the mark. I ordered the meat lovers Omelette, which came with pancakes. The food isn’t the best I’ve ever had but again it’s supposed to be diner food. The portions are healthy and we left content and full.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this place since they’ve opened. The reviews were up, then down, then back up again. My first try, I don’t have to take my wife to Denny’s any more! Woohoo! She ordered bacon and eggs with a waffle. I don’t remember the last time i saw her finish a waffle. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. She even told the server just how good it was. I had the bacon egg cheeseburger. I wish it had just a little more grilled onions, and special sauce, but that’s just kinda nitpicking. It was a nice, big, juicy burger. The onion rings were probably frozen, but the name of the place gives them a pass on that. We will be back for another try.

Great service, consistent food quality with generous portions, especially the omelettes and all in a simple no frills diner. Will continue to dine here.
