My consultation appointment for my top retainer only and was 9:30a. It took a minute for the doctor to get to me however that was not the problem not the issue. While I’m waiting in the back the receptionist came to me and she said it will be $300 for your retainers. I said how much she repeated herself and said $300 I said no ma’am I’m not paying $300 and that’s not what the insurance representative stated when I called and she said well that’s what it is and that’s what “we” charge. I told her I was going to call myself, she said “I’ll call them again but when I called that’s what they told me”. She started saying something about it’s all in one it’s an orthodontist etc etc. So, I walked outside and called my insurance and he stated my plan cover retainers and they will pay 50%. At that point I walked in the office and asked her for the code she used she gave it to me and again the representative stated it’s covered. I asked her is $300 for top and bottom or just top she said both I told her I don’t need both I just need top then she said oh it’s $300 a piece. I also asked her how it’s $300 if my insurance is paying 50% she said oh, “if” I submit it and they paying 50% then you just owe $150. How you going to tell me I owe $300 without submitting my claim?! In fact I honestly don’t believe she called my insurance because if she did she would’ve came to me and said you owe $150 not $300. I told her to cancel my appointment and I politely walked out. Everyone please please call your insurance prior to your appointments, ask the doctor office for the HCPCS or CPT codes for whatever you having done then call your insurance because if the doctor office can get over on you they will.

The hygienist & dentist told me 2 different things. No one introduced themselves to me (my first visit). The dentist told me I had perfect teeth with no cavities but hygienist said I had a cavity. It went from no services needed to about $ 700 worth of work. I’m leaving still confused. Not really friendly. They yell everyone’s information. It was a very weird visit. I already have anxiety about dentists and this didn’t make it any better

Took my 2 kids here and they only did a check up not a cleaning! They said I had to make another appointment for a cleaning. WTF!!! I’ve never been to a dental office where you had to make two separate visits for an annual check up. Then they charged me for something I did not have to pay. Four months later I receive a letter in the mail stating they are holding funds that «may belong to me». Uh yes you DO!!! So I call to try to claim my overpayment and I’m on hold for 30 mins. Let’s see how long these idiots take to give me my money back…

Enough is Enough… something has to be done about these dishonest, incompetent worthless dentist offices. Not just one of them but ALL OF THEM. One person said he had the worst experience and that was the worst office… dear patient, I think I got you by several miles. The office I went to near spring on Jones and Louetta thought I was paying cash, however I took the liberty of coming in with my insurance, verification numbers member id, etc… this person took one hour and 15 minutes on the phone with the insurance company, asking them over and over are they sure it’s castle dental, are you sure, are you sure. By the time they made sure everything was going to be paid, by insurance, financing and a cash down payment, it was to late to see the dentist who told me your appointment was at such and such a time and other patients are awaiting so I cannot do any treatments can you reschedule. I was so angry each person in that office heard me. I paid for services that I never got, but again I was so angry I HAD to walk out!!! Additionally, I research dentist office and knew what to look for as far as treatment, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT HOW MONEY HUNGARY THEY COULD BE

I had the worst possible experience at this location! The oral surgeon was terrible! They sent him on lunch during my appointment because they «forgot» I was there. After he finally got there an hour later, he would talk in Spanish to an assistant about me and not tell me what was going on. After doing the two extractions, they told my wife minimal information for after care. The next two days they were closed and I had countless complications and after calling their emergency number, they would only tell me to go to the ER. I now have dry socket from one of the extractions and will NOT be going back to this dentist to fix it!
This would have to be the worst dentist ever! I do not recommend it to anyone! I’d rather pay a little more elsewhere and get better services.

I had a terrible experience with their oral surgeon. I had loved this office before, the dentist and dental assistants were so kind. But I had 3 extractions done, and the surgeon treated me so unkindly. He was rude, he didn’t reassure me at all about my procedure, and he pretty much threatened to «stop the surgery» if I didn’t cooperate. As someone never having surgery done in my life before, I was very nervous and he only made it worse. About 7 times he told me I needed to cooperate or else he’ll stop, he told me I wouldn’t be asleep (didn’t even explain what a local anesthesia was) leaving me with the impression that I would be awake and aware during the procedure, made me feel completely stupid by saying, «No one really gets scared like this…» (Basically saying my feelings were irrelevant), AND he told me none of the anesthesia would work if I didn’t cooperate. It’s safe to say he didn’t explain anything about my surgery, hence why I was confused and freaking out.
Thankfully the surgery went fine, but I never want to have a surgeon treat me like that again and make me feel completely stupid and scared. If it weren’t for this guy, this location would have 4 stars.

My son received an estimate of $ 1935.00 for a root canal, buildup and crown. He paid $ 1000.00 down and went to have the root canal done. They broke a file off in his tooth and gave him the option of, pulling the tooth or sending him to a specialist to finish the root canal. The specialist wanted $ 136.00 for the consultation and $ 1500.00 to finish the root canal. My son went back to Castle and told them to just pull the tooth. They told him it would still be $ 531.00 for the root canal even though they left him with a metal file in his mouth and their inability to do the work right would cost him another $ 1631.00 at another dentist. They are incompetent, irresponsible and do not stand behind their work. It is amazing to me that not only does this corporation have multiple offices, they manage to stay in business. I will make sure everyone I know stays as far away from this dental practice as possible.

Faced with an emergency far from our regular dentist, we were grateful Castle Dental was able to fit us in for a last-​minute appointment on a Friday afternoon. We showed up to the office 15 mins. early with paperwork already completed thanks to forms available on the CD website. The staff seemed to take a great deal of time tending to every other patient in the room — even leaving the office to retrieve a snake on the sidewalk outside (no kidding) and give a jump to a patient whose car battery had died — while we waited. And waited. And waited — in pain — for over an hour.
Finally after many attempts to get their undivided attention, the manager (?) came out and rudely told us our insurance information was wrong and we were in fact causing our own delay. This was after we had already given it over the phone in advance hours earlier. After less than 10 minutes we managed to call our health care plan and resolved the issue ourselves — at that point the staff decided we were worthy of finally being seen. I have NEVER been to a medical office of any kind where a patient in pain was made to wait because forms were incomplete.
The quality of the dental services received was fair. We noted that the actual dentist, while qualified, seemed distracted and rushed during our consultation. However, upon check out the office manager tried to upsell an expensive procedure for which we preferred to research alternatives. When we expressed hesitation we were immediately refused any other lower priced services. Also, the procedure for obtaining copies of x-​rays was not explained properly, resulting in two wasted trips and waits in subsequent days. Although I would advise you not to go here at all if you can help it, be aware that you must bring in a new USB flash drive in original packaging at your own expense and staff will scan and copy JPG files of x-​rays only. They will not release any further information. And if they don’t get a flash drive they will charge you $ 30 to use one of their own.
As a final insult — unbelievably — they will NOT send your x-​rays to another dentist’s office. You have to get them yourself if they’re needed. Again, I have NEVER been to a medical office of any kind where they refuse to send records to the office of another doctor/​dentist.
Bottom line: Unless you are writing in pain and HAVE to see a dentist, avoid Castle Dental at this location. The lack of professionalism among the front office staff and total disregard for patient satisfaction and privacy are glaring.
