Established in 2014.

We started out back in Baja California Sur Mexico and moved to California. We learned directly from Baja style food recipes passed from generation to generation.

Brought to you from people that were born and raised in Mexico and came to the US with their traditions intact.

Cabo is a restaurant that commits and dedicates to preserve Mexican food recipes as they are made in Mexico so we deliver an authentic flavor to our customers in America.

Like in our country, we prepare everything fresh from scratch.

Manager

Born and raised in Mexico, I was looking to deliver real Mexican food in the United States, just like the one we eat it in my country, not just making up some kind of adapted version that couldn’t even be recognized back home.

This was my first time eating here and it was great! The tacos are awesome as well as the California burrito. Two thumbs up! The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Very personal service. :) We will definitely be coming back!

We go to this place at least once a month but usually once every two weeks, who am i kidding. Love everything about it, from the clean restaurants to the wonderful nice staff, to the excellent prices, weekly specials and the most important thing the tacos! i highly recommend trying their elote, and the pastor tacos. they make an amazing green cilantro creamy salsa that is out of this world on the tacos or just dipping chips into it alone. I have easily brought 15 different friends in here and they all say the same thing, delicious 10 stars! don’t miss out on this one, it is well worth the visit!

This place was ok. The tacos were small but the flavors are big. Pretty cool to see them making corn tortillas on the spot. Their habanero salsas are also super intense and not for the faint of heart. I was with a group of about 10 people and the manager hooked us up with their churros which are UNBELIEVABLE. They are huge and made to order so they come out hot and fresh with chocolate and caramel on the side. The food was ok but I would come back just to have the churros again… and again. and again. They have a burrito challenge that i would like to try.

The shrimp burrito was amazing! I was surprised by this little gem. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Much better than I expected. Had the guacamole and salsa bar. The food came very quick which was nice since we were in a hurry. And the portion sizes were large. I couldn’t finish my whole burrito… And I walked in super hungry.

Went back again and I’m pleased to say that they again knocked it out of the park. Had another 3 Baja Fish Tacos and they were fabulous. Being that I grew up eating fish tacos in So Cal, I’m very picky about fish tacos. These tacos were spot on with flavor of the fish, badder, sauces, and generosity. Also, the staff was consistently friendly and helpful, place was very clean and offers a wide variety of sauces to accommodate the tasty chips and main courses. I’m very pleased to live close to such a place that offers such tasty authentic Mexican food, and at a very reasonable price.

Update: We have returned! This time for lunch, and the owner was present. Everyone was attentive, but the owner interacted the most. There was a large group for lunch, and all the tables were filled. There was very little wait for our food. Everyone at our table enjoyed their tacos, and I was surprised to learn they had a combo meal. Also, the Queso is new and soooo fantastic. Even though she wouldn’t give me the recipe, I will absolutely be back! 5 more stars, since I can only update my current review.

The first time I came here, I ordered a shrimp burrito. It felt like I was eating a 2 day old burrito so I ended up throwing away half of it. Although I had a bad first experience, I decided to give it another chance a few months later. My second time here may be worse than the first. I noticed they no longer give free chips with your food, charge $ 1 to add cheese in a burrito, and CHARGE for what should be a complimentary cup of water. I haven’t seen any other place in the area charge for a cup of water, which leads me to believe that the business is hurting and they’re just trying to find any way possible to make up some money.

My boyfriend and I found this place and were immediately hooked. We went there for our lunch break pretty much everyday for some time. The street tacos are to die for. However, they previously had a free chip and salsa bar. Since getting rid of the free chips we haven’t gone. I know it seems silly to not go somewhere because they stop having free chips but that was one of the things we most enjoyed. Wish they would bring back the free chips. Hint hint ;)

Fast, fresh and delicious! I had the steak quesadilla. They have a salsa bar with lots of options as well! The staff are very pleasant and checked in to see how everything was. I’ll be back!

Food came out fast, service was great and the food was wonderful as well. Try the asada fries for sure (it’s a huge portion for 2) My wife loved the Baja fish tacos. Will be coming back again for sure!

Street tacos to go were delicious. We shared the steak, chicken, and shrimp and added cilantro, chipotle, and habanero sauce. Sooooo good!
Visited again, ate inside. Nice and clean and street tacos were as good as togo but more fresh. The decrease from5 to 4 stars was because of consistency issues. We ordered eggs to go on our brunch tacos and even though they did it a couple of daya before no issue, all of a sudden the cook is unable to do it today 3ven though eggs are in the menu. The only thing that stopped this from going to a 3 is the sauce bar which helps the tacos taste that much better!

I have mixed feelings! It was Tasty, but a bit high on price. Definitely not Tex Mex. Which was what I was looking for! It reminds me of food I’d get back home in California but even still, twice what I’d pay back home. Satisfied a craving but not sure I’d be back if it’s not on Taco Tuesday. $ 55 for my dad, myself and 2 kids seemed high, just sayin. $ 5 for corn on the cob you get for $ 2 in Houston, I just can’t see it. My 9 year old had a burrito ($ 9 for meat, beans and cheese) it was greasy. Carne Asada fries were good and huge but in my opinion once you add Queso, they’re less Mex and right back at Tex Mex, lol. I liked the salsa bar and the chips, lots of choices there.
Also, I will say that the service was GREAT! Young man named Ben was awesome and very welcoming. I might need one more trip later on to see if my opinion changes.

It was just o.k.
I had the California burrito with chicken, avocado, pico, cheese, and French fries. The fries were soggy like the oil wasn’t hot enough or old. I think it was old oil because the chips were greasy tasting as well. They just opened so maybe they will get the hang of it soon.
The unforgivable though was the total lack of care they exhibited. The owner and manager greeted a couple that they were apparently friends with that had walked in after I ordered. They grabbed them drinks and then stood by their table the entire time I was there. I had to interrupt them to tell them the chips were stale. They acknowledged me but did not move. 10 minutes later a kitchen guy brought out some «fresh» chips as i was finishing my burrito. They sucked.
I’m a big fan of the California style burrito so I’ll probably give them another shot.
One bright spot was they have good Mexican beer. Modelo, Pacifico, etc.
