Air National

Another quick response and fair price! This was the 2^nd time our old system went out on us in the past year. Mike came out both times and fixed the problem in minutes both times. They waived the service charge both times and charged us only a hundred and some dollars. Prior to Air National coming out, another company told us the system was shot and had to be replaced. Do yourself a favor and call Air National.

Air National is great. We owned a 2500 sqft home in NW Houston for 25 years. Every time we had problems with our AC system we would call one of those big name businesses for help and we were given all kinds of excuses and charged a huge amount only to have the system fail yet again. The last time we had an issue I found Air National and I have been happy ever since. They came in and immediately found the problem that caused so many failures in the past and that none of the others service providers could find. The problem was fixed and in addition pointed out the the return duct was not the right size for the unit and was making the whole system work twice as hard as it should. After Air National came and performed their service our monthly bills were reduced by half. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

I would give zero stars if I could. Air National installed an a/​c unit for us and it has been nothing but trouble ever since we had it installed. The installer admitted he had very little training and didn’t know how to fix the issues. Finally the trane rep came out and agreed that there were a number of mistakes made. Air National came back the next day saying they would fix these issues, which they caused, for $ 1200. Uhh NO. Needless to say we have not heard from them since but the BBB has heard from us.

Air National installed an evaporator coil at one of our rental houses for $ 1,500. We did purchase a homeowner warranty after our new tenant moved in. Just a few months after, tenant notice leaks through the closet and one of the bedrooms. We called our homeowner warranty company. Their HVAC Tech took pictures and wrote a report reasons they are not covered:
*The evaporator coil has been improperly installed
*Found air leak
*Found reuse supply box — mismatch coil and supply box
*installed coil unleveled
*reused old drain pan
*caused water leakage
They suggested that we call Air National Houston since they did a very poor job on installation. While we are still under one-​year labor warranty, I contacted them. Of course, they have pushed the blame back to the warranty company even when they just took pictures.
Now, I have to call another company to fix the issue. Definitely I will file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation so that they don’t do this to another consumer.

A year ago, I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life and bought an AC unit from this company. Issue after issue occurred until this brand new ac unit was finally able to keep the house cool, with temperatures already naturally dropping in the fall. Here we are a year later, in the summer, and the AC is failing again, worse than I ever saw last year. I even had an inspection done about a month ago and there were no reported issues. With this major issues coming during one of the hottest days of the year, the company scheduled me for a service appointment. I waited and waited during the time window they gave me. I did miss a call from the technician, but promptly called back 15 min later. I did not get an answer, so I called the dispatcher (main company number). The answering service was very nice, but was only able to send messages to the technician. The technician never called me and failed to respond to my other call attempts. An hour and half later, I made another call to the technician and was told they were not coming tonight and pretty much laughed at me, lied about the number of times they tried to reach me, and hung up on me.
UPDATE: we are still trying to get our issue corrected. It turns out that our 1 –year old condenser is blown. The condenser is under warranty, so it is covered, but it turns out our 1-​year labor contract ran out last month, so we were responsible for labor charges to install the new condenser (see this in other reviews). I had an inspection done by the company around the same time our labor warranty ran out and they reported no issues. It also does not make sense that a high-​quality condenser would blow out after only a year. We got a second opinion and this technician believes there are underlying installation issues, but cant confirm without installing the new condenser. They also pointed out that the amps of our breaker was lower than the amps of the condenser. After installing the new condenser, Air National reported no issues with install and said the amp difference is no problem. Our AC is still not cooling properly and we can’t get our house below 74 in the middle of the night. I’ve lost all trust in this company and doubt their skills. I’ll provide another update as to how the company handles us. I really hope I can redeem their review.

As I read through some of the «negative» remarks, it’s obvious that some of these people have never been in the service industry or even simply understand that «things will happen» from time to time and need to be understanding of that.
In our particular case, our outside unit went out a couple of days ago. I called around and spent $ 200.00 just to be told that it had finally reached the end of the line. The first guy was quoting a new unit before he even looked at mine so I should have known how that was going to turn out. The second guy quoted me a price that I’m still scratching my head over. I’ve never heard of a 8K outside unit but it better be made of gold !!
I reached out to AC companies online this morning and was immediately contacted by Air National. I explained our situation and they were quick to offer some rebates and solutions to the fact that I don’t have a stack of cash laying around.
We were quickly approved for financing and the technicians arrived in nothing flat. I would have NEVER received same day service by anyone else in this area.
Able and Stevan arrived and wasted no time in getting the old unit out and the new unit professionally installed, charged up and back online.
They cleaned everything up and made sure that we were 100% satisfied with their work. I might also point out that they finished up in the middle of a thunderstorm and never missed a beat.
I would recommend these guys to anyone in need of HVAC work.

Our AC quit and we received quotes from 4 different companies. The best price was Air National but I was skeptical when I checked all the reviews and BBB reports. After talking to the company manager I had a better feeling for the company and approved the installation. I’m very glad I did.
Everyone at the company from the manager to the receptionist to the installer, Steven, could not have been more professional or friendly. We went with the recommended Trane XL16 which is extremely quiet and although the Houston temps are in the 100’s our weekly email from Reliant Energy shows our bill is 40% lower for the first week of operation. The total cost was the price of the estimate with no up charges or surprises.
I would not hesitate to recommend Air National for your Air Conditioning needs

If I could give 0 (zero) I would. Last month when my A/​C went out I went to their website and filled out a form to make an appointment. I got the confirmation e-​mail of the information I gave them and not a peep after that. Meaning I did not receive any calls or e-​mail on communicating any further on how or if they could help me, even after waiting 24hrs for a response. Thus I decided to go with a different company that actually answered me.

Prompt service. Great communication. Quality installation. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? Great service seems like it is getting harder and harder to find. We had Mike come out. Diagnose our problem and offer a couple of solutions. We chose to replace our air handling unit. The guys came out the next day and knocked it out. No muss no fuss. Paid over the phone with a card and received an email receipt back.

My heater was working fine but seemed to be not cycling like it did last winter. I thought a Groupon would be a great way to just have it checked. They came out and told us the heater was completely fried. The motherboard was a goner, it was cracked and on and on. They said it would cost in the area $ 4,500 to fix it. Now mind you my unit is only 5 years old. The immediately began trying to obtain financing for me. Once I did not qualify for their financing they did not seem interested in us. They said it was very, very dangerous… was leaking gas and was a huge fire hazard. It scared me to death and I was very distraught. We went that night and spent 2 hours and 5 stores to find space heaters. We could only find 1, so we spent money on that. With 2 small children in the house we spent that night cold as it was freezing out. The next day I called them because they did not leave anything in writing nor give me a written estimate. They said they would get back with me and they have not in 2 days. Meanwhile we got another company out for a 2^nd option. For $ 100 our heater is running beautifully… It was one bad wire. The company even put in writing that all that other stuff that Air National said about my heater was completely false. Air national had also totally unwired my digit thermostat and left it that way in the wall… so this new company had to totally rewire it for me. I am very dissatisfied and disgusted by this company.

All I can say is SUCKED!!! The just wanted ur money. I called them to see if they can fixed my AC cause is emergency I just had a newborn baby. Thinking they would come out to fix the ac. no they went to the house plug the diagnose machine within a minute they took it off and said the the unite motor. The charge would be $ 1800 if u want to fix if not u have to pay $ 60 fee. I can tell he in the rush. When I hired someone else next day. He said is the ac blower not the unite blower. He only charge $ 325. Instead of $ 1800 luckily I didn’t listen to Air National AC. Please people don’t trust this company they will rip u off. Cause is happen to me.

We have called on Air National a few times and they are always thorough, professional, and give us a fair price. They even came out at night for us. We like that we have had the pleasure of dealing with the same person too. We won’t call anywhere else.

A year and a half ago the person who did my inspection did an excellent job. Unfortunately, after that you are on their call list. I have endured a phone call every two weeks for a year to do a follow up. Every person tells me they are taking me off the list. I have called and asked supervisors to take me off the list with no solution. I do not know what to do from this point. I feel like it is bordering on harassment. BE WARNED THEY WILL NEVER STOP CALLING YOU!

I’d be hard-​pressed to use any other company. Air National’s prices were very reasonable and more importantly, their crew are people I can trust. I even got a call back from the owner a few days later just to make sure we were happy with their work.

We scheduled them for an in-​home estimate for replacing our A/​C. Needless to say, it’s 3 hours after their appointment time and we’ve received no communication from them. With all the other HVAC companies in the Houston area, I’ll be going with one that actually wants my business!
