Great customer service! I love Teresa’s work. She was patient with my demands and addressed all of my concerns with a professional opinion. I’d had a few jackets and more than a few pairs of pants altered just last week. I’ve been coming in for years and will continue to do so!

Disaster. Rude. Overpriced. Lousy work. I do not think there can be a wares tailor in business

This place is SUPER expensive and the work is shoddy. I had a bridesmaid dress altered here. She charged me $ 155.00 to alter my dress! Took three visits to get it right and still looks bad. No customer service.
When I first came in, I had asked about how much it would cost to have it all taken in, and she never would say. She kept dodging the question. I asked when I would get it back, she said a week and a half. When I got a call from her, it wasn’t that the dress was ready, she wanted to see where she would take up the top layer. We had already discussed this at the first meeting and I noticed she didn’t take any measurements, but she said she didn’t need it. But now I’m getting a call, because she DOES need it!
But then, I get there and I put it on, she never takes any measurements, just says,
«ok so the same as the other layer.»
«Um yes, just like I had already said.»
I was noticing the liner was longer than the dress and I tried telling her, but she was rushing me around and just didn’t bother to listen to me. I told her I thought the top part of the dress should be taken in more, and she didn’t agree… just said «it’s fine.» She said that I don’t want it to squeeze my chest. It’s a sleeveless dress… it’s not fitting right, but she’s not listening to me. So that was a waste of time, now she needs another week! ugh…
I go back and try it all on again, with her assistant, and SHE listened to me. She saw the lining of the dress longer than the dress. And she’s even shaking her head at how bad the hem looks. The length looked too short to me, you can see my shoes! It’s supposed to be a floor length dress! Ugh.. .
So here she is pinning up the liner so that you can’t see it. She said that Teresa has to do it when she gets back. (So, I’m pretty sure it was Teresa that screwed it up) I have to come back yet again for my dress. The wedding is just a few days away now.
When I finally get a call that it’s ready, she said her steamer was broken so she couldn’t steam it. So finally, can you tell me the cost.. . $ 155.00! Whaaaaatt!!!
All the other girls in the wedding party had the same amount of work done by different tailors and most paid $ 60 and a couple as high as $ 85. She was charging me $ 155! I asked if that was the best she could do, and she says,
«oh, I’m already not charging you tax, but fine, I’ll let you have it for $ 140.»
Oh and then, she doesn’t take American Express or Discover.. .so while I’m digging out a Visa from somewhere deep in my wallet she says, «ok, fine, $ 135.»
Like she’s doing me a favor by only overcharging me by at least $ 50!
My husband calls her later asking her to explain her fees to him, because they are not justified for the work done. She tells him, it should have been more than $ 200 and that we should be happy that she only charged what she did. He kindly tells her that we are not happy and that we will not be giving her any more business. She responds with, «that’s fine, I don’t need your business!»
Wow! So I guess if she doesn’t need our business, she doesn’t need anybody’s business because she’ll over charge you and not even care if you return or not.
*** On a side note — A while back, my husband had taken some shirts to her and again he asked how much it would be, and she told him.. .BUT, when he went to pay, she changed the price on him and over charged him. He had to remind her of the price she had given him, originally.***
I had jeans taken up by her (Teresa) a while back and they came back too short, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I gave her another chance. Um, sucks, that I did that!
So, she’ll over charge you, give you shoddy work, not listen to your requests and be late on her deadline, OH, and take your nice dress hanger and replace it with a cheap dollar store one.. along with no customer care. smh
