Vineyard Hacienda offer resort-​level overnight lodging on a beautiful nine acre hideaway property with outstanding amenities including swimming pool, Jacuzzi, game room with Ping-​Pong, pool, darts, a koi pond, lush gardens and lawns, and a vineyard that produces organic wine. We pride ourselves on our beautiful rooms, peaceful and natural surroundings, and sustainable lifestyle. We are on solar power and well-​water and our vineyard, fruit orchards, and raised vegetable gardens are all organic. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from downtown San Diego, yet close to nature and with several top-​quality restaurants nearby. Continental Breakfast included. We also rent the property for weddings and other events.

History

Established in 2014.

The traditional, old-​world Spanish-​style Hacienda was built in 1930, expanded in 1970, and the current owners Gladys, George and Joe have been in it since 1994, making continual improvements to the property. The property has been open for overnight visitors and events since Fall 2014, and visitors to the property marvel at the natural beauty, the beautifully decorated and well-​equipped rooms, and the peaceful retreat-​like atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway stay or a most private venue for a wedding, anniversary party, offsite business meetings, or other event.

Business Owner

Gladys and George are retired diplomats, she Peruvian and he American. After retirement, they began to concentrate on enhancing the property and the hacienda to create a peaceful hideaway for guests enjoy. Gladys and George are working with other local businesses to develop East County as an easily accessible destination for out-​of-​town tourists and San Diegans alike to explore and relax. Wine-​tasting, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, wonderful meals in local restaurants, and much more.
