The Home Depot

If I could give this location negative stars I would. Absolutely worthless human beings working here in Tool and Truck rental. The old geezer is basically only good for dismissing customers and leaving the young lady to do everything herself which put her in a foul mood. Neither can speak to a customer – silence and scowls the entire time. The manager isn’t any better. Total attitude, doesn’t even know who his employees are or what they are trained to do. No apologies for the dismal customer service – how he became a manager is beyond me. I would NEVER recommend this location and had such a horrible experience trying to pick up a truck I am writing to corporate as well.

The store is just like all other Home Depot stores so I’m sure construction people will have no problem.
However, it was extremely difficult for us to get any kind of service here.
Literally no one would help us.
We had contractors wrapping up a post flood project the next day and we could only install a very specific size of light fixture that we wanted them to put in while we had people working at our house anyway. In two days they would be gone and we work all day, so we had a tight time deadline. The selection in the size we needed was extremely limited and there was only one that would work with our bathroom.
They were out of that one.
Online it said they had three available. We need to figure out if they have any or we’re stuck with a dated light fixture in our master bathroom for the foreseeable future.
I kept asking people for help and they kept saying they would get someone, without really seeming to care if someone shows up or not.
No one ever shows up.
After 15 minutes of waiting, I actually call the store on my cell phone and tell them we are trying to get help. I was mistakenly hung up on once. Called again and they said they would send someone. Again no one comes to the aisle.
I walk up to the help desk. She pages for help in the aisle. At that point my wife had found someone.
All we needed was someone to tell us if they had the item in stock. We didn’t need an expert in lighting, but the rule here seems to be that people don’t help outside of their department. The lighting guy was busy, I get that. But no one else would offer any assistance in helping us figure out if they had an item — this isn’t high level lighting work being done, just standard retail.
So after about 40 minutes of this, we learn from the lighting guy that the light fixture is at a nearby store.
Great, we head over and buy the fixture.
Yet another hour of my life wasted dealing with post flood renovation stuff.

Enough people have stolen from Home Depot that they set up a closed circuit camera system in the tools isle to remind you that you are being watched. A «ding dong» sound plays every 10 seconds when there is anyone in the isle. It’s beyond annoying when you’re casually shopping. Annoying to the point I can’t wait to get out of the store ASAP. This is just another side effect of fucking shit heads indirectly affecting your life. Thanks a lot shit heads.

Charlie and vini in the flooring department were great. They were nice, polite, helpful And went out of there way to help us when we told them we were looking at the marazzi, wood look tile. We told them we needed close to 3000 sq ft and they said no problem we will call Home Depot and get u a better bid because we were buying so much. They saved us 2000 on our new tile floors. We are very thankful.

It is hit or miss when it comes to how helpful the employees are. The older ones seem to know what they are doing and are willing to help. The younger ones just want to play around on their phones and wait for paycheck time. Frustrating.

This place just keeps getting worse. Tried to place a pickup order. Four employees standing around one playing his smart phone, three trying to figure out to enter a will call. This place needs new management and a bulldozer to knock it down. Ugh!!!

We come to this Home Depot fairly regularly, but lately the service we’ve recieved from the associates has been outstanding. Need help finding a specific widget? Ask your friendly Home Depot worker and they’ll show you right where it is.
We had such great service when we came here for a Christmas Tree (they have an excellent selection of live trees), and the associate who helped us find the tree went out of his way to trim it, bag it, and then tie it to our car in the parking lot. Never have I ever seen an employee go out of his way to help us late on a Friday evening find the perfect Christmas Tree!
I’ve never had any issues at this Home Depot, but I have been helped by several outstanding associates during several of my visits. We will definitely be returning to this location for our home improvement needs!

I asked one worker for help to retrieve an item off of the top shelf, he then told me he would be right back with a ladder, he never returns, and, I see him restocking shelves down the hall!
I attempt to find another employee to help me and his response was,“you need to get someone in plumbing.” Wow. So I asked him to page someone and he says,“Sure”. I waited 15 minutes while watching both employees I previously asked for help going about their business without a care in the world.
So now I go to the front desk to ask for help. The manager pages for help to meet me in the plumbing isle and what do ya know, they never come. I ended up going to the 610/​Shepard location and got in and out in 10 minutes.
My personal opinion, if you need to go to Home Depot, only go to the Galleria or 610/​Shepard locations.

Jean in the woodcutting departments is not only super nice but also quick and efficient without being hasty. Haste makes waste! And he made none!

Never again will I use Home Depot’s service. They promise great service but once you pay them, the same fee that other small installation companies will pay, then they don’t care. I recently paid Home Depot to do granite countertop installation in my kitchen. Once you pay Home Depot they refer you to the third party company, Stone Systems, that handles everything. You have to schedule a measurement (takes weeks), then they come out (takes about a week), then they schedule installation (takes weeks), but if something is needed (like leveling cabinets in my case), then its the above all over again. The company doing the work won’t do the leveling, which is freaking ridiculous. Home Depot does, but with a $ 90 installation fee, minimum of $ 300 work, and not to mention it would take weeks. Its been one week since Stone Systems ripped out my old countertop and it will be another week before they come back out to finish the job now that I got a handyman to level out my cabinets. I have no countertop, no sink, no dishwasher, and no stove. Thanks a lot Home Depot/​Stone Systems (sarcasm). Don’t use Home Depot’s services! You can save a lot of time, money, and energy going to another company.

Is this my nearest Home Depot? No. Do I go slightly out of my way to go to this specific Home Depot? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes.
This is the flagship of Home Depots in the greater Houston area. The employees are helpful and are actually available to help. I rarely see employees horsing around like I do at other stores. I think the store is well-​organized and items are well-​stocked. The employees do a good job at managing their departments. This points to good management. I can tell the management emphasizes good customer service to their employees.
The store has a clean parking lot too. Not sure if they power wash it or what but that’s definitely a first for a Home Depot. I think that fact that the parking lot is spread out horizontally helps make this store just more homey and cozy. Go here for your home improvement needs. It will save you the multiple stops you’ll need to make at other Home Depot or Lowe’s stores.

My experience here has been amazing. I am currently remodeling my bathroom and the staff have been incredibly patient with my lack of knowledge. I, unknowingly, met the manager Michael on my first visit. He took me through the store to show me the various items I asked about and answered every question with a smile. The rest of the staff was equally attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Marco, in the lighting dept, saved me money because I didn’t need to replace the fixture to get the lighting I wanted. Felipe, in the paint dept, not only put up with my indecisiveness but also made sure I was happy with the colors selected. Jean, in the kitchen dept, saw my frustration when looking for a part in the plumbing dept and stop what he was doing to ease my stress. He even spoke to my plumber on the phone to ensure I left with the correct parts. I haven’t met a single employee who has not been friendly and happy to help. Although I’m overwhelmed with my current project, I will continue doing business here because the staff is exceptional.

Every time I go into this location, I say to myself that it’s the last time. On this most recent occasion, I needed help in lighting. After looking around and walking the aisles for a few minutes, I asked the cashier if he could call for help. Another 10 minutes went by and no help. They said the guy in that department was on dinner break (at 5:15) and wouldn’t be back for another half an hour. I asked them to call a manager. Another 10 minutes. The manager apologized and then asked what he could help me with. He was clueless. Finally someone came by that knew that department and looked up what I wanted on the computer. It showed they had 8. Guess what? They actually had 0. He was nice enough to go in the back to see if any were there and after a wasted hour of time, I left empty-​handed. Scooted over to the Home Depot at Lumpkin by Beltway 8 (and I-​10 feeder), got immediate help (from someone who worked in Plumbing actually) and left within 5 minutes with the item I was looking for. Do yourself a favor — avoid this location at all costs.

Great store, very helpful employees. Customer service desk and the managers are ready and willing to fix whatever issue you might have. Definitely recommend this store!

I am sure that I am not alone in the fact that I have ‘special’ stores that I will go out of my way to frequent. For some reason, this Home Depot is one of those. The staff has always been friendly. It is easy to get into and out of the shopping center. They always have just what I need. So when I find myself needing granite cleaner and other ‘Home Depot’ stuff, I take a trip out to Spring Branch to roam the isles.

This home deopt is not usually crowed so its nice to have a place that is stocked really well and quick in and out. The staff is always very helpful.

So they’ll re-​key a lock you buy from them, if you’re lucky enough to be there from 9 am to 10 am when the lock guy is around. Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but what’s the point of staying open if both the lock guy and the key copying guy isn’t going to be there? Why aren’t more people trained to do this? It’s not a hard task, re-​keying a lock, it just needs the proper tools.
