Spring Valley Community Church is a family friendly, neighborhood church with an emphasis on Biblical teaching and care for those in need. We provide emergency food assistance for the hungry, an early childhood resource center for mothers (free diapers and other goodies) and a safe place to simply come as you are. Our worship services are inclusive and sensitive to special needs children and adults, who are always welcome in our services. We provide free nursery/​childcare, and all of our children’s workers have been through a thorough background screening process. Want to make a difference? This is the place for you!

History

Established in 2003.

We began with just a few dozen friends and families meeting in Spring Valley Community Park in August of 2003. Since then, we have grown and are now a very active church with a focus on making a difference in Spring Valley. We look forward to continued success as we strive to bring peace, hope and freedom to our community in the name of Jesus. We hope you can come and visit some time!

Steve B.

Manager

When Pastor Steve finished studies at Bethel Seminary in 2003, he and his wife Tammie joined with a group of dedicated friends to establish Spring Valley Community Church in south Spring Valley. They did so with the intention of establishing a community church — one that is dedicated solely to bringing people from Spring Valley to a personal and transformational experience with Jesus Christ. Steve and Tammie have three school-​age children and find great joy serving among their friends and family at SVCC.

Pastor Steve has been actively involved in a number of community groups, including the Board of the LaSpring Valley Citizen’s Association (past President), the Spring Valley Youth and Family Coalition (Core Committee), the Spring Valley Revitalization Committee (past Public Safety Chair), the Spring Valley Sheriff’s Citizen Advisory Council, the Board of La-​Mesa Spring Valley Schools, the Spring Valley Responsible Property Management Board, and many more.
