Our overnight boarding services for your pet are top-​notch. Your dog will vacation with us in our resort-​style facilities complete with outside play yards and even a large swimming pool! We offer supervised recreation in a completely secure area. Special time can include swimming, playing fetch, tummy scratching, and group playtime if your pet is socialized and would like to play with other compatible pets. Cats stay cozy inside with plenty of scratching posts and places to curl up for a cat nap. We also offer bathing and grooming services! Baths, flea treatment and nail clipping are available for both walk-​ins and appointments.

I recently adopted 2 dogs from a rescue facility. I made a reservation for my new pups to stay for the eve of a large party I was having, only to have the owner say that my records for vaccinations we’re not adequate because two of the documents from a vet only said when the next were due. Sadly I took my two pups to the vet to be re-​vaccinated, because I knew I had an out of town trip coming up. I dropped those off by hand to ensure I would not have the same issue. The lady took my info and said I was good to go, only the call back days later and say that the owner had changed her mind, that because I did not want my dogs in a group setting with other dogs it was too big of a risk. I requested my dogs have independent play time together, agreed to pay extra, asked all these questions on my very first call. This place is about as unprofessional as it gets. If I could give negative stars I would!

Spring Creek is the BEST! Clean, comfy areas for the fur babies. Great staff with awesome customer service. They always take such good care of our 2 GSDs. We have been using Spring Creek for years and each experience is always the best. The grooming is done well too and the dogs always look and smell great!
Great prices, staff, services, and facility! I recommend to all my friends and coworkers.
Can’t go wrong and I wouldn’t board anywhere else!

This place is OK. Reasonable pricing but I didn’t feel good about leaving my puppy there. She stayed for two nights. The actual area she was put in to spend 99% of her day was an itty bitty cage about 2 by 3 feet like the size of a crate. With a tiny area about the same size that she can pee in. I cried when I saw this space which they don’t picture on their website for good reasons. It’s awful. They pack dogs in there in these tiny cages. It’s a chaotic stressful environment with dogs packed and barking. El canon animal control has much more luxurious facilities. In order to let your dog out of this space you have to pay extra. $ 5 for 15 min no more than 3X so basically your pet is caged the entire period except a Max of 45 min that you pay for. My puppy has tons of energy and needs a bit of room to run around. Also is it customary to ask someone if they want to tip? When I checked out they asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I did tip 10 but didn’t know you tip a kennel. I don’t tip the Marriott when I check out. But what do I know … Just kind-​of tacky to ask. They do have a nice outdoor play area but again… Your pet rarely sees it and it’s on the honor system that they even take your pet out. When my puppy came home and had to go in her crate that she used to love, she started crying and wouldn’t stop. Probably because of the fear of being caged on for long periods of time. I would not return my dog to this place. Not on a healthy conscience.

We love this place. Whenever we leave town we leave our dog here. Its a simple set-​up, but what more do you need? We feel lucky to have found this place because they are affordable, unlike a lot of other kennels/​pet resorts, and our dog comes back just the same as we left her. We’ve had bad experiences with other places in the past where our dog has come back sick or underweight. Never anything like that at this place! I highly recommend it.

I still love Spring Creek Kennel and Cattery… even after 4 years! I actually had moved to Tierrasanta and would still make the trip to Spring Creek to board my German Shepherd there just because I trust them so much. Since that time I also have another dog who LOVES Spring Creek. When we drop him off he’s like «BYE» he totally even forgets we’re there because he’s so comfortable with the staff.
Spring Creek always follows directions and assigns play groups depending on their discretion. Our big dog goes with the other big dogs and our medium size dogs plays with the little dogs (the kennel respects his fear of big dogs since he has a history of surviving a dog attack).
Meanwhile, my german shepherd goes insane when he sees the staff because he remembers them! Don’t even get me started on him seeing Manda or Raquel; he looooooves everyone there!
Whenever we pick our dogs up they look healthy, clean, and like they’ve been in a safe place! I am definitely a helicopter dog mom so I thank Spring Creek Kennel for offering me the chance to have vacations and long work days knowing my dogs are safe and sound.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for quite some time as it is certainly deserved. I bring my cat Stella in frequently, at least once a month. She is well taken care of, everyone there is great to deal with, and she doesn’t come home traumatized (sometimes I think she likes it there better than home). On top of it all the pricing is very fair. What more can you ask for?

My husband and I boarded our cat here while we were out of town for a week (2011). It was the first time we had ever been separated from him for that long, so we were nervous. We called throughout the week, and each time, the person on the other end was able to give us detailed information about how our little guy was doing, which made us feel at ease. When we picked him up, he looked great and didn’t have any problems. We did pay a little extra for him to have play time each day, which I recommend.
Since that time, we’ve acquired three more fur babies, and would likely use this place again if needed.

We have used Spring Creek for boarding our dogs over the years, going back to 1995 to present — probably half a dozen times or more.
This kennel has always been exceptionally clean with a caring and accommodating staff. Even though it is difficult to leave our dogs anywhere, we always felt safe leaving them at this facility, and require only the best for our dogs.
The staff members have always appeared to be animal lovers and have had no problem accommodating special feeding and care requests.
I don’t know what the issues were with the couple of negative reviewers, but based on our many experiences, I have to believe the problems were likely more on the pet owners’ end then an issue with the kennel. Not to say that their staff can’t make mistakes, but we have not had that experience at all. This is the only kennel we will use and our vet’s office speaks highly of them as well.

I love, love, love, love this kennel. I only board once a year for 10 days but my dog Mudslide and cat Texas could not be better cared for. They always come home happy and healthy.
The extra play time is worth the money and I just love being able to see how happy my dog is outside playing in the pool with all her «friends.»
The kennel itself is spotless and they are always prepared when it’s time to drop off or pick up. Seamless.
There is a true love of taking animals here. And of course, Manda is the best. I sometimes wonder if my Mudslide would rather stay a few extra days just to p-​lay in the pool with her. :)

1st time leaving our dog at a kennel during a trip. My puppy looked happy when I came back to get her. I’ve never had to leave our dog with anyone, but if you are going to leave your pet with anyone, it should be with people who love animals. And the woman here sure do enjoy their job.

Being a volunteer for a local dog rescue, I’ve seen plenty of of boarding kennels. Spring Creek is the best. The whole place is really clean and everyone is nice and the dogs we’ve kept here are very happy. I actually went to go pick up one of our girls for an adopter meeting the next day, and found her happily at play in the yard — in fact she was so happy I left and picked her up the next morning so she could continue with her play time. I wish we could afford to keep all our rescues here until they found homes.
It is never ideal to have dogs in boarding instead of at home but when its necessary, you won’t find a better boarding kennel than Spring Creek Kennels.

I am responding to Pet Lover J.‘s review. I don’t know what kennel she was at but I know it couldn’t have been Spring Creek Kennel and Cattery, where I have boarded my dogs many times in the past. The staff is extremely knowledgable about all breeds of cats and dogs. The cattery has two large rooms with kennels for the cats to sleep in and alot of room for them to run around, if the owners choose. The cats behind the front desk are there at the owners request. The dog kennels are clean and large. We had 2 large dogs boarded together in one kennel and they had plenty of room. The staff are diligent at cleaning and sanitizing the kennels all throughout the day. The play yard is excellent. It is large and has astro turf not indoor/​outdoor carpet. The owners can purchase play times for their pets and specify if they get along with other dogs or not. If not, they will take their dogs out, one on one, with a staff member and no other dogs. My dogs were happy when they stayed at Spring Creek. The staff love the dogs and cats just as much as the owners. They know all the dogs and cats names and what they like and don’t like. I would, and have, reccommended Spring Creek Kennel and Cattery to anyone who has a need to board their pet. They also board birds, rabbits, guinea pigs… any small animal who needs a place to stay while their pet parent is away.

I left my very needy, very anxious 6 year old puppy here for 2 nights. All I asked is that she be alive, uninjured, and accounted for when I came to pick her up. Request satisfied and then some!
Having only previously boarded my dog with her trainer, someone she was very familiar with, I was dreading dropping my baby off for a weekend. But having had the opportunity to tour the facilities beforehand and meet with the staff, I was slowly warming up to the idea and becoming a little less anxious. I loved their grounds and the set-​up they have. It all made me very comfortable leaving my baby here. The staff was warm and friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the well being of your dog child. It had really good energy and by the end of my visit, I was feeling good about my decision to use this kennel.
It’s relatively inexpensive. $ 20 a night if your dog is less than 50lbs. It was our first visit, so we got our first night for free. Cha-​Ching! I paid the extra $ 10/​day for (2) 15 minute play sessions. Well worth it in my opinion. And for those chilly nights, they have heaters in the covered area of the runs — perfect for my diva who sleeps in my bed and under my covers on a nightly basis. Also, they allowed me to bring my dog’s own bedding. I thought this was important so that she would have something familiar with her and not be so anxious. (Most of the other kennels I inquired with would not allow this)
When i picked my dog up on Monday afternoon, she looked relieved to see me. (I was kinda hoping she would be as excited as I was — but no cigar) As soon as we got home, she knocked out and slept for 16 hours straight. Was she sleepless there due to her stress and anxiety? Or because she was having such a fantastic time?! I may never know, but I choose to believe the later. Spring Creek kept my dog alive, uninjured, and accounted for during the 2 nights and 3 days I was away. Expectations Met! I will definitely use Spring Creek Kennel the next time I decide to skip town without the pup!

Spring Creek Kennel has a very loving and caring staff. They know how to work with the animals and I love the fact they have play time options and a pool. My dog is always in a great mood when I go to pick him up. Given I know he could seem anxious or like leaving him was punishment, it’s the furthest thing from it. I know he is greatly cared for and loved while we are apart. I have and will continue to use Spring Creek in the future.

Let me start this review by telling you that I am a very protective cat owner. My cat’s name is «baby». To me she is a baby, so when I had to board her for our cruise, I did a lot of research on where to take her. Spring Creek Kennel and Cattery was recommended to me by both our Veterinarian and our groomer.
When I called to inquire about rates the lady that answered the phone told me to drop by the facility any time during normal operating hours. I knew that was a good sign. We stopped by and inspected the facility about a week before our vacation. The dogs are located on a different side of the property, away from the cats. The place was clean and appeared to be well organized.
The Cattery was calm (with the exception of a few meowing cats). Most of the cats were sleeping and appeared to be mellow, so I figured my cat would be fine.
Yesterday we returned from our cruise and picked up Baby. She looked amazing. Baby is a long haired Persian who needs daily brushing. For a small additional charge we had the gals give her a daily brush.
Our cat came back to us looking great! Her coat was fluffy and well groomed. She actually looked better than she did when we dropped her off!
I cant thank the staff at Spring Creek enough. They did a great job and I will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone I know.

We left our two doggies here for 13 days while we were out of state. It was very, very tough to do, as I’m sure you know if you’re reading this review. This is the first time we’d used a kennel and were extremely apprehensive about it.
Spring Creek Kennel came highly recommended by a good friend who’d left her pups there a few times. Based on that, we went over and checked them out; you know, asked them the tough questions. Everything checked out and we decided to give them a try.
Sure, it was heartbreaking to drop them off and leave them with strangers. Everyone there was understanding and professional and nice. And that made it a little bit easier.
Anyhow…there were tears in my eyes (allergy season) as I drove away. What had I just done?!? I’d left my precious pets with a friggin’ kennel!
Well, it wasn’t until the next day that the photos started arriving. A Spring Creek employee– who must’ve known how I was taking the affair – sent me regular updates and some great photos. I was immediately put at ease and felt better about their stay at the kennel. The photos showed my puppies mingling –and actually having a good time– with other dogs at the kennel.
I’ll wrap this up by telling you that the frequent updates made a difficult decision that much easier. We picked up our pups today.
One thing I’ll mention is the cost – it’s a bit expensive, about $ 20 a day per dog. As well, we paid extra for playtime (twice daily) and I think that was well worth it.
We will definitely use Spring Creek if the need to kennel our dogs arises in the future.

My two large retrievers, Jasmine and Indy have been going to Spring Creek Kennel at least twice yearly for the past five years. After a couple years of boarding nightmares at other kennels, I finally came upon Spring Creek at the recommendation of my vet (Coronado Veterinary Hospital). This kennel is just that– a kennel. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the other kennels I sent my dogs to– no weenie roasts, Thanksgiving dinners, swim parties, etc. The one thing it provided that these plush doggie resorts could not was happy, healthy dogs upon my return. Really, that’s all one needs in a kennel.
The facilities are clean and spacious. They have a large play yard and a pool for those water loving dogs (not mine!).
The staff there is amazing. It is apparent that they are all dog lovers, and each dog boarded there is treated with the utmost of care. All my instructions are followed to a T, and it is evident that my dogs are well cared for while they are there.
And a special kudos to owner, Pat Murphy– after my post-​surgical dog was injured playing with my other dog in their play yard last summer, my dog was immediately taken to my vet by one of their staff. They followed my vet’s direction until the end of my dogs’ stay. Pat himself even came into the kennel daily to ice down my injured dog’s leg. Where other kennels would have most likely denied any fault, Pat was straightforward and honest with me. The situation was handled so professionally, and I never once considered taking my dogs elsewhere because of this one incident.
I am really so grateful that my dogs receive such extraordinary care at Spring Creek Kennels. I can vacation and relax without constantly worrying how my babies are :)

I’ve taken my dog here twice. I went to check out the facilities and while I was there a lady was picking up her great dane and she told me to not worry she leaves her dog there and it’s always been a great experience. Unfortunately, not for me.
The first time I left my dog there it was for 3 weeks, my dog came back with horrible kennel tail. Just bleeding all over the place. It took me weeks to finally get him cured. I even paid for extra play time twice a day. But, I assumed that it was because he’s a large dog and he was there for a 3 weeks.
The next time I left him there was for 5 days. He came back with conjunctivitis! It’s been 2 weeks and he’s finally getting better, but it’s been a struggle.
My dog is a super healthy dog, so for him to come back both times with some sort of problem is crazy. I will never use this place again.
