The staff was so so nice and friendly. The girls up front greeted us with a smile and we’re just happy. So rare to see anywhere these days. Especially in dr’s offices where everyone seems to hate life.
They call the day before to remind you about your appointment, tell you everything you need to bring.
I got lost in the complex and was a few minutes late for my appointment when they called and gave me directions to get there, when we walked in I was afraid they were going to be rude since we were late but they were so nice :) I’m also not a morning person so simply nice people are refreshing.
We didn’t have to wait long for Dr. Stephens to come in the room, she was quick and to the point. Gave us time to talk, told us her thoughts and we were on our way. Overall the perfect well check. :) thank you ladies!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I’ve been coming here for about a year, not only do they call in your prescriptions late but the wait times here are always horrendous. I would always spend an hour in the wait room until seen. I am currently looking for a new physician for my children.

I scheduled a meet and greet interview before looking at reviews as my OBGYN highly recommended this practice.
I’m a benefit of the doubt type of person due with a second child I certainly wanted to find a fantastic practice I could stay at.
I am satisfied with this overall practice being at it’s best. Give it a try if you’re a first time looker. I did add on my 2 page list of questions how she responded to these reviews and if there was a need of improvement. She’s dropped a lot of insurances due to being over crowded which gets rid of the most common issue of wait time. She does seem to be a multi tasker but genuinely caring for you and your children.
Being in business on her own for 7 years and practicing another 5 in a group. She’s obviously doing something right. I’m glad I came!

Had a recent appointment. Usual morning appointment. BUT, I have now experienced what all other reviewers are saying. Twice. Really long wait. 30mins in waiting room and 1hr and 40 mins in the patient room! It was a well check and we don’t even do shots! I’ve left my last ped for the same reason. No one should be waiting over an hour for a well check…

If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. The Dr here has no personality. She should be an adult Dr not pediatric. I wish I read the reviews before even wasting my time. We brought our 3 kids here twice. And each time was bad. We would wait about 2 hours just to see the Dr for 5 minutes.
We now found a great Dr and left this horrible office.
My advise… take all these negative reviews into consideration.

I used to work there. Trust me piece of s doctor. And all. Understaffed. Double booking/​scheduling But hey more $$ for the doctor. Always overbooks patients on purpose. Treats staff like crap. I was glad to get out. Actually happy because just everything they did was messed up. All these other stories I read on here I believe them all. And her husband is right by her side for what I dont know he doesnt know what the hell he is doing no healthcare training or anything. Patients complained all the time of waiting so long. Well maybe if she didnt doublebook and wasnt understaffed. I truly never saw how a healthcare office was properly run until my next job. They would never really give us lunch breaks for heavens sake. No office manager? Doesnt do ear lavages their for kids just refers them out. Pretty much referrals for anything. I would highly suggest you take your children somewhere else. She also has a horrible bedside manner. Even when patients parents called to
appt they would say take them even if she knew she was swamped. So if you go there be prepared to wait and wait. When my old co worker told me she quit we celebrated lol. Then she told me stories of the dr trying to pop something on the kid while he/​she was screaming and even the parents were wondering if she knows what she’s
the dr has a bunch of lawsuits. All I can say is you had it coming karma is a bitch.
Save yourself the disatisfaction and I would say take your kids elsewhere.

I find the doctor to be very nice, but she spends micro time in with the patient, and I just can’t accept that. I know her time is valuable, but so is ours.

I was very disappointed in this office. As a pediatrician you would think the doc would be a little more personable with the kids. We never felt like she paid attention to any detail or concerns we had. This was proven true when I got my daughter’s records to transfer to another ped and the progress notes were completely incorrect as to where my daughter slept and how long, what she was eating etc. hoping to have better luck with our next ped. Would not recommend. The only good thing was if you called after hours, Dr Stephen was the one to answer the phone, no waiting for an answering service to get a message to her. That is the only reason I’m giving stars at all.

So I should’ve read the reviews first before going here, I took my son a few months ago for shots, waited almost 3 hours to be finished with everything. The doctor didn’t apologize came in for 2 minutes and that was it. I thought to myself never again. Well shame on me, today I took my other son for shots, OMG if your pet peeve is waiting DO NOT come here! My appointment was at 9:45am the nurse came and got me quick to put me in a room, asked questions about my son and she left for a long time. Finally I couldn’t take sitting there anymore, I was watching people leaving, the doctor in the next room talking to patients that just arrived, I opened the door and one of the staff members said can I help you, yes you can, my appointment was at 9:45 and now it’s 11am I need to leave NOW, she apologized and said I was next. The doctor came in, didn’t apologize for the wait, asked a few questions and left. Then the nurse came in right after gave my son his shots and said all done. All that took about 10 minutes why the hell was I waiting so damn long for??? So I go to the check out window asked the girl anything else I need to do, then a guy walks in and starts talking to her, instead of her telling him to wait a moment so she can finish helping me she HELPS HIM, are you serious!!! I walked out, NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN! This is my 3^rd pediatrician in Las Vegas, I pray the next one I find is a winner

If I could put zero stars, I would. Please read, for your child’s sake.
My 1yr old and I waited over 2 hours for shots. 1 hr in the waiting room, and over 1 hr in the patient room. 2 waisted hours spent calming and entertaining a baby. The manager explained that it was due to a new computer program they were still learning. If that’s the case, why am I watching numerous families that came in after us, leave to go home during our 2 hr wait for shots?
We waited 2 hours, only for my son to get shots by someone who had NO clue how to administer vaccinations in an efficient and SAFE manner. I HAD TO TEACH HER HOW TO DO IT. Twice now she had given my son his shots, and she will not get a third. I should’ve cancelled after the first time. She asks parents to secure the child’s arms, but she does NOT secure their legs when she injects them in the quads. So when the child feels the sudden pain, they naturally kick up, and the needle hits the bone and moves around in his muscle before the shot is done. This causes mental and emotional trauma to the child (especially for future visits), and more injury from the needle than necessary. Of all my son’s appointments, this has cause him the most trauma.
Every time I asked the staff on their status, each person would say, «they’ll be with you shortly» or «you’re next». Don’t mislead your customers. Tell them up front, because now you only add to your customer’s disappointment. I know you’re a mess when each of your staff has a different story for our 2 hour wait. The WORST PATIENT CARE my son and I have ever experienced.

I came here about 2 yrs ago when my daughter was a newborn and I am so happy to have left. The staff is rude the doctor would rush me when I went I had a few questions. I’m a first time mom of course I have a million questions. Don’t bring your kids here with so many great pediatricians in town.

The doctor has terrible bedside manner.
Additionally, her staff is rude and unprofessional. I contacted her office regarding a discrepancy on my bill, and a gentleman by the name of «OC» was nearly yelling at me. Absolutely ridiculous.
AVOID. Read below. The majority of her ratings are 1 and 2 stars. I am assuming the people who gave 5 star ratings are either family/​friends or work there.

The first visit for our newborn baby girl, we waited an hour or so in the waiting room. I was annoyed w/​the front, bcuz I signed in, sat down. she called me up for ins cards, said I’ll call you back up, so I sat down. Again she called me up to ask for a pharmacy I want to use. I got up and sat down literally five times! This is after a C-​section so I was still very sore. I was very unhappy n annoyed. she could’ve asked & done everything she needed once maybe twice. I have never been to any drs office to get up n down that many times! When the nurse came in, super friendly. Dr. Stephens, also pretty friendly. As we were on our way out we made our next appt. the girl wrote 10÷13÷13 on the back of their business card. I said that’s a Sun. She says, yes by appt only. we got there on Sun & it’s CLOSED! Arrg! our vehicle is not cheap on gas either! I was pissed! we get home, I called, n explained what just had happened. The guy said, okay come in Mon about 1245. I said ok. He took my name yada yada. I felt as if I was going to be a walk in, I was going to call Mon morning to confirm my 1245 appt. I woke up to a missed call @8:30am. I called back he says let’s make it for Tues at 11 AM I said okay again, thinking to myself definitely not professional. Here I am moving my schedule around thinking I have a Mon appt. Then for him to say let’s do it Tues@11. Ugh! Anyways we arrive on time on Tues. Nobody was there, so that means we didn’t have to wait an hour. We get called to the room right away. The nurse asks us the routine questions. In the middle we get a hard knock on the door, opens & another nurse yells, «Come here! no, excuse me or excuse me I need to borrow her. Just come here! Then they leave. I look @ my husband like wtf?! That was extremely rude. That same nurse that yelled comes in & sits down. I told her that was really rude of you. She was very apologetic about it. We were trying to give this place another chance but her stuff is making it impossible. Dr Stephens comes in, ok. Asks us how we are & the baby, nothing special. So we are looking around for another Dr. Somewhere more welcoming and DEFIANTLY more professional.

i took my daughter in about a year ago for a rash she had Dr. Alphonsa told me that she is fine and it would eventually go away. 2 days later the pharmacy called me and asked if i was going to pick up my daughters prescription … umm it would have been nice of her to let me know she was going to call something in.
giving it a few more chances just made me dislike the office more. The wait time is always about an hour, then you sit in the room for another hour before the dr even comes in. this place is always packed and staff is rude.
I called in to make an appointment for my daughter who had been getting sick, coughing, pulling her ear and runny nose. I was told that it was just a common cold … once again got a call from the pharmacy for antibiotics for an ear infection and bronchitis. I’m tired of getting the run around!!! looking into a new dr

I’d give this place zero star if I can. Staff is very unfriendly and rude. Have absolutely no idea how their billing department works, but sent me a bill an entire year after the service was done. Was told by their staff if we don’t like it here, then go someplace else. Poor customer service, long wait (over an hour almost every time) and Dr. Stephen isn’t all that great. Take your business to Wee Care Pediatrics!

I’m giving this pediatric office a one star because I can’t give them zero. Twice in two weeks I had to go there because my kids were sick. Aside from having an appt, I waited well over an hour! Then the second visit that week, we found out two of the kids had brochitis and they needed to have breathing treatments every 2 hours. Which is fine, and antibiotics… But being sick and needing antibiotics 3 times a day and breathing treatments every two hours. They said they would send the prescription over to the CVS which by the way is in the same parking lot. Within the hour, It should be ready within two hours. So with that being said, and my kids NEEDING to do the breathing treatment I gave them 3 hours just to be safe. Went to CVS– to pick up just as the pediatrician had said it should be ready within two hours. Come to find out they never sent the prescription! Ok, so the pharmacy calls the drs office the excuse they had WAS THEY ARE BUSY. Ok, totally understandable but when a doctor stresses the importance to you to get the meds asap, and start the breathing treatment asap. But they never send the prescription out? Seriously!!!
Then when you make an appt they have the drs husband answering the phone booking appts, who doesn’t even know what he is doing. He asks when do you want to come in i give a day that will work out for us, then he says oh there is nothing available till monday– then gives you times that totally doesn’t work. Why ask the day if your going to try and schedule me a completely different day? Makes no sense! And plus, i’ll schedule an appt and have to wait over an hour .With three kids, two at home and one at school my time is limited to dropping and picking up since my son is in kinder. I don’t’ really want to take so much time out of my day trying to argue with drs offices.

My obgyn referred me to this pediatrician and I haven’t been disappointed. We have only had to go here twice and it was just for immunizations. They made sure my daughter was up to date on everything, which unfortunately for her meant multiple shots on two occasions but she is all taken care of now. The staff was all very nice as well as the doctor.

I have no doubt that dr. Stephens is a compotent qualified doctor. However my partner and I were not pleased with our experience despite the fact the doctor and her staff were friemdly enough.
First its hidden in the back of the medical strip mall.
Then when you walk in the size of the waiting room is about as big as a cattle chute so your all on top of each other cause they stack appointments one right after another so its you, plus everyone elses kids all shoved into a little tiny waiting room thats cut off by two doors that open into it making it about the size of an elevator and just as awkward.
Im a bit of a honky… ok allota bit and we’re gay, so I am a quick baramoter as to how comfortable and welcoming a place is or isnt.
This wasnt comfortable. At all.
It wasnt even really the staff so much as the clients they had a very affluent snooty better than thou attitude and I probably make more than them I just choose to not waste my paycheck on 60k vehics.
Anyways I digress, back to the visit.
So after waiting forever, we were ushered into the weighing area. Again cramped quarters!!! If your kid or you have serious «personal space» issues this place is gonna be a headache!
Anyways this was probably the most tramatizing section for our baby girl, and the nurse was as patient as can be expected but still this office was so stuffy and sterile and rushed it made the situation of trying to calm my daughter down worse, then more freaking doors opening! The whole traffic flow layout in this place is atracious so we are all packed in like sardines and you try being shoved into a busy hallway with a screaming 2 year old that your trying to calm down just long enough to weigh!
Now we are in the physicians room. Wow. Well, the granite floor was hella pretty.
But for kids they just kinda slapped up some dollar store teachers «great job!» paper boarders sporadicaly and put up some random yard sale picture finds. The beds were metal and not the shape of a bus or firetruck, theyre was no anything to a child feel at ease.
Then we had to wait FOREVER again just to see the Dr. During this time again theres no toys or fun things to look at to keep her distracted in this tiny room full of chairs…
When the Dr. arrived she was nice and pleasant but she doesnt mesh with our parenting values like Dr. Thomas at Pediatrics R Us in Reno (we just moved here)
She was unable to give any sort of recomendation on what we should or shouldnt do in regard to shots, and was unwilling to give us information on what our daycare would require us for sure.
So knowing full well that our daughter has a sour stomach to begin with she was perfectly ok in letting us give her 5 shots! Ok Im not a doc, maybe this is ok. I mean in my unprofessional opinion I would think that a child whos feeling ill maybe should do two shots today and then the rest within the week since it only takes a few moments. But what do I know.
Then she popped in and saw that we were cleaning up her throw up and she didnt stop and ask what did it look like, let me check her temperature again, here let me subscribe some anti naseua medication now. NOTHING PRO ACTIVE!
I used to be a medic, I would think that if I would have been that proactive she should have been. God damn didnt even give us a brat diet sheet, not that it would have been much help but it would have shown some interest.
So anyways, our daughter is still puking and they finally described her some anti puke meds.
She just wasnt proactive, wasnt very conversational and kinda doctored more like a dictator rather than a caring doc.
Just my thoughts.
Ohh but they did get us in quick.

Dr. Alphonsa Stephens (female) is the pediatric doctor at this practice.
She is very professional and at the same time caring, understanding, and nurturing.
I was referred to Dr. Stephens a couple years ago from a friend who works as a nurse. I use to take my daughter to the pediatrics in Summerlin hospital, but had challenges there that forced me to find a new doctor.
The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. I got my daughter an appointment for a 3 year well check the following day I had called.
*** to make a long story short ***
Dr. Stephens is attentive. With my daughter’s well check, she noticed her heart rate was rapid and asked if she had been running or doing anything active. I advised her no, just the norm. In addition, Dr. Stephens noticed other signs from my daughter (protruding eyes, weight loss, tiredness) that led her to think she has «Hyperthyrodism.»
And she was correct.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with what hyperthyroid is… basically the thyroid gland, which is located below the Adam’s apple. It produces the hormones for your body to function properly.
There are two kinds of thyroid disease: HYPERthyroid and HYPOthyroid. Hyperthyroid is an overactive thyroid releasing too much hormones and hypothyroid is the complete opposite releasing not enough hormones. Both causes risk factors to the body.
Anyway, without Dr. Stephens help and attentiveness, she then referred us to an Endocrinologist & Oncologist doctor for my daughter to get treatment right away and prevent any serious illness in the future.
