Kmart

I have never been to a K– mart before I was expecting it to be more like a wal– mart. I was surprised it was more like a clothing store then anything else. I found my two year old two paw patrol shirts. Lots of hair and make up stuff. I wish I had more time and money I would have keep looking its far my house and not in my normal circle but if I’m in the area I will definitely stop by.

This place is a joke, I literally have to wait in line for 10 – 15 minutes every time I go in. Their are eight registers and only two are in use. Today was a 30 minute wait no lie! They are constantly doing price checks and don’t have a system where they can call employees to look them up (or don’t use it) instead we have to wait for the person to run over and check the price and run back! In addition, this place also smells of sewage so I have to endure that during my long wait. Last time I’m shopping here. Target is a little farther away but well worth the extra few minutes that I’ll be saving anyways. I feel bad for the employees that work here that look stressed out with the huge lines, such a stressful experience for everyone!

This place smells like a rotten potato. They have carpet right at the entrance that is not removable so the water from shoes and dirt and smut from shoes just soaks in and lingers. They need to rid themselves of that atrocious idea. The lines no matter how many cashier take Forever. Partly due to their stupid point system card crap and the 80 coupons that no one cares about print. We did get some good black Friday deals but other than that I hate going here. Only because it’s close I’ll drop in and buy toothpaste or something but it’s really just a dump and probably won’t survive another year in its condition

I love the sales this store carries along with merchandise, but i absolutely hate their long long lines and the cash registers they have are so outdated makes your wait in line even longer, and i do agree with some of the Unilocalers about the smell once you walk in it smells like sewer. I hate their computer system and even the employees complain about it.

why do I keep coming here? still long slow lines that take me forever to get out of. all I hear in line is a bunch of pissed off customers. I don’t blame people for being just ask mad as me. this store needs to close down.

Pros: big store, lots of clerance items, always stocked, layaway, lots of parking

This is the closest Kmart to my house. I only go if i really have to, I guess its the closest «clothing store» to me. My mother enjoys this place because they have clothes, shoes, garden, food, beauty, electronics, home, and you get rewards point on what you spend.
There is always a bad smell as you walk in and you get used to it as you shop. Every time I go it does not fail I hear someone comment on the smell.lol. The prices are not very low, but they do have good clearance on many clothes.
The customer service here is lacking and I think its due to their shortage of employees. I always have some type of issue here, they are always minor problems but they would be fixed if they had more employees, and it is really their loss for not wanting my money which I was ready to spend. Let me share my most recent experience.
They had a great sale on jewlery and I wanted to look at an item. I looked around for an employee or a button to push and there were none. The 2 lines that were open were long as usual and I tried to get the ladies attention to call someone for me but it didnt work. Therefore I waited in line till it was my turn and let the girl know i needed help in jewelry and she said «sure, let me call someone for you». I went back to the jewelry display waited maybe 10 – 15 minutes and no one ever showed up. I started to get frustated and decided to leave. I got in another line to pay for my other items and when it was my turn i decided to complain to this other lady. I told her i asked for help in jewelry and no one showed up and I waited for 15 minutes. The lady then replied «I dont think anyone is working that department» –_​–
I was going to go to customer service but they had a long return line as well so i just left.
Of course i will return being so close to home but will not expect good service.

The store smells like raw sewage. It has had the disgusting odor even before when it was Sears. The workers hate it but are forced to work in it. Sometimes it’s so bad that the workers spray refreshener so they can disguise the gagging smell. I’ve called San Diego County to report possible unhealthy conditions but upon their «investigation» they said it was being worked on — that was about 2 years ago. Gross

Guess Amani the cashier has never seen a $ 20 bill. She had to get mine checked out. If something is wrong with that $ 20, my bank will be hearing from me!

I am giving this 3 stars, mainly for it’s location and it is not Wal-​Mart.
To walk you through… the first thing you will encounter is the foul smelling odor upon your arrival. For a year, this smell has lingered, no, attacks anyone entering. How come? Answer? It has been addressed and apparently because they can’t find a reason to it, so, it no longer exists.
The merchandise isn’t bad. Just not much of it. Purses, etc. dept., pretty good. Towels, linens, pretty good. Electronics… Where, again? Almost non-​existent. Housewares, could use more items, but a hell of a lot of candles.(?) What is that all about? Toys. not very well stocked & for a few rows, that seems hard to do. Outdoor items… not so much. Small appliances… most often it is stocked. They do well in this department. Sports dept. is okay. Large shoe department. Shoes for ladies are very poorly made & nothing to speak of regarding style. And pricey for what you are getting. Men’s department is not bad. Children’s clothing… room for improvement. I simply love the woman that works in this area. She is helpful & keeps the area neat & visible. But, many customers are parents. And the amount of merchandise should be expanded.
Overall, the way the store is displayed can be improved greatly. The one who does the hiring, must be giving jobs to friends or whatever. They all seem to be made of the same mold except for the shining few.
And when it comes to check-out…it is the archaic registers that slow everything down. A contention with me. I have written home office. My friend has too No answer from them. Why are they still using these beasts?
It really all comes down to the head office & the ceo’s idea of management. I am certain these upper manager’s etc. are taking from the till & running it to the ground on purpose. One by one, K-​Mats are closing around the country. And this is because of the“big BOYS”. So much can be improved.
So tell me, if a shopper can see the need, why haven’t they? EXACTLY. This is such a sad state of affairs with our business community. Are you not in it to serve the community & make money?

If you like smelling human feces, and watching homeless people eat fresh garbage then this place is for you!

Only reason I’m giving two stars is because the cashier we had was extremely nice. Other than that, the store lacks in many departments. First off, the horrid smell which starts even in the parking lot and is worse around the front of the store. It’s been like this for months, I don’t understand how it’s still there and not been fixed yet. Secondly, most of the staff don’t even acknowledge the customers in the store. How do you expect to make sales when you don’t show any care for customers? And finally, they are way overpriced compared to most other stores of the same (target, walmart, etc). I personally don’t think this location can afford to have their prices that high and still maintain business with below average employees and the awful smell throughout the store.

Honestly, just take the extra 5 mins and go to Walmart on college. Prices will be better, have better variety of anything you want and plus this place smells like toilet as soon as you walk in. I don’t know how the customers, let alone the employees put up with it.

I frequent here often because I live close and they have the best deals on the diapers in my area! But I have to say that I would have given a higher rating if they had more lines open so you don’t spend more time waiting to pay than you do shopping. Also note that when you first walk in there is a STRONG disgusting odor of rotten eggs mix with sewage that you can NOT miss. It’s pretty overwhelming and the smell is there everytime I go especially in the morning when they first open and there hasn’t been much ventilation! If they could fix those 2 issues than I believe they would get much better ratings and a lot more happier customers!

Pretty typical kMart, nothing wrong with the store by any means, but nothing to write home about. A bit disorganized, no prices for some merchandise, etc.

I keep giving this place another chance. I used to come here as a kid 20yrs ago and it was way better back then. As soon as you walk in it smells like strong sewer smell in the whole place! I looked around thinking «how can people shop like this?» I even asked an employee what’s that smell and she nonchalantly said oh it’s a pipe with still water And walked away like nothing!
The prices are high and they really lack selection even with some most basic stuff. There is never more than two cashiers and I have never waited less than 10minutes in line. All the employees seem sad and un personable.

Honestly, I don’t see how this place survives. It’s almost as if they really don’t care to be in business anymore. This particular store in Spring Valley always smells like sewer as you walk in.
The electronics department is down to a bare minimum as far as stock. I even asked the clerk there if they were thinking about closing the store because the shelves were so barren. They should just close down and open up a real store like Target or Walmart. Seriously!

Came in since we were in the neighborhood, itching to buy a PS4. Saw some bundles online but figured since we were here I’d check it out.
Walked in and felt a very odd… cold feeling, Noone around to greet no one said hello as we walked by several associates.
Even the Vonage lady was hating life just sitting at her table looking like she couldn’t wait to leave. Everytime I’ve seen the Vonage table I’ve been approached, guess this kmart is rubbing off on her. The electronics depth looked pathetic… felt like I was shopping for electronics at Goodwill.
left here pretty quickly with no doubt in my mind why kmart is closing little by little soon to be just a memory.

I went here with my sis because she had a gift card. We found some pretty good deals. They had some Frozen shirts for 50% off. So we got a few shirts along with a cute dress for my nieces.
What really annoyed me was when we went to pay the total sounded wrong. So we asked if the shirts where 50% off and our cashier said yes it was. When we looked at the receipt it turn out it had not been discounted. So we check and it was 50% off. So we had to wait in this long line to get it fixed.
So about 20 – 25 minutes later we got the shirts for the correct price. I just think that a a mistake like that shouldn’t happen in the first place. At the very least when someone asks you a question you should listen before you respond.

Oddly enough shopping here reminds me of my childhood. BLUE LIGHT SPECIALS! LoL I remember when they actually had a person push a cart with a blue light around the store to signify a special.
This location has small aisles. But I just plow my way through with a shopping cart. I find some good deals here on home goods since KMart and Sears are affiliated stores. This store is typically less crowded than other box stores. And I get points on my purchases that let me redeem them. This last time at the cash register, I got a surprise $ 10 to spend. Helllllo FREE money to spend… I am in! LOL
The Adam Levine collection is cool for men. The Niki Minaj collection for woman scares me. Avoid that stuff is what my brain says!
