Marty and his team did an outstanding job on my shutters. They are absolutely perfect and GORGEOUS! They went above and beyond to make sure the color/​stain was exact. Excellent communication, great turn-​around. I can’t say enough how happy we are with French Custom Shutters. I’ll use them again and I’ll gladly recommend them to my friends.

My parents built their dream house 20 years ago. My mom wanted the house to be filled with natural light and have an airy feel. My parents had shutters put in by French Customer Shutters and they are absolutely in love with them, even 20 years later!
The wood shutters are 4.5 inches wide, which allows for sunlight to come into the house and give an unobstructed view of the outside while also protecting the furniture and wood floors from discoloration. The shutters are in every single room of my parent’s house.
My parents say that these shutters are one of the best investments they have ever made for the house, The quality of French Custom Shutters is amazing and they are timeless!

Marty and his crew did an impeccable job on every custom made shutter for the entire home. different heighths/​widths/​dimensions etc included. I will highly recommend these folks.

We had French Custom Shutters out two years ago to do about 20 windows and sliders. We had originally contracted with another company to do the work but after 10 weeks we had nothing. We called French Custom Shutters and had the finished product up in less than three weeks. We have been very impressed with the quality and attention to detail that this company has offered us. We just had them come out to do the last couple of windows that needed to be done. These wood shutters may cost slightly more than vinyl but their quality can not be beat!!!

I can’t speak for the quality of the finished product of French Customer Shutters, Inc., but by all accounts they create and install beautiful, quality plantation shutters. Unfortunately, I will never know. I felt Mr. French was rude and condesending in his tone when communicating via email. I’m of the mind that a company is only as good as the name it carries and Mr. French is «the» company. Will I go with another company? Yes. Customer service from the gent after whom the company is named should be better. Remender Mr. French, written communications can’t convey your tone and intent. If you write poorly and abruptly, you run the risk of turning off poential customers. My potential order was for nearly $ 10,000. That may be a small project for your company, but its a large, substantial purchase for most customers. I would happily even pay more to a company who treats its potential customers with dignity and respect. You could have at least waited until the shutters were installed before treating me as if I were an idiot. Good day Mr. French… best of luck in the future.

We used French Custom Shutters quite a few years ago to shutter almost our entire house. They did a phenomenal job! My shutters still look brand new, after many years of covering our windows! I’m ready to call them again to finish up a few of the windows that I did not originally cover. I wouldn’t dream of calling anyone else to do the job! Friendly, reliable, professional, and extremely high-​quality work! I highly recommend!

French Custom Shutters built beautiful plantation shutters for my living room and dining room windows. The craftsmanship is excellent –from mechanics to the finishes.
I was especially impressed by their ingenuity in designing shutters for an unusual trifold window in my living room. Prior to finding French Custom Shutters, I asked two other window coverings businesses to come out to take a look at my window to see what they could do. The first told me I could do shutters, but not without a box that stuck out into my living room like a sore thumb. The second company told me that it would be impossible to put shutters on that window. French Custom Shutters was not deterred by a little challenge!
I’m so happy with their work and highly recommend them.

These guys are unreal! The attention to quality and detail is un-​matched. I visited their showroom in Spring Valley and was given a personal tour of their factory by Marty French himself. He walked me around and showed me each step they take to produce what is in reality a custom piece of furniture for your home. The work and time that goes into producing these totally custom shutters is really amazing in an era of ready made products. Based on what I saw, I have no doubt that my shutters will be good to go for the next 20 years. If you are looking for window coverings, you need to give these guys a call.

French Brothers Custom Shutters recently installed roller shades, soft wood blinds and woven wood shades in our new home. We love the way everything looks in our home and we are very satisfied with everyone at French Brothers Shutters. Everything was done is less than half the time they had originally estimated and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
The staff at French Brothers Custom Shutters are very knowledgeable about not only shades and blinds but their forte is really in woodworking, manufacturing wood shutters and installing wood shutters and closet doors.
Customer service is paramount and when the co-​owner Marty French says you get a the «small town treatment» it’s very true. They really care about the quality of their work, they take pride in everything they do and they really appreciate your business.

We had French Custom Shutters come back and do our upstairs. We opted for the 5 ½ inch shutters again, which are fantastic for letting in lots of light. We had another excellent experience — I still recommend them with five stars. They did a great job with a couple of tricky shutters upstairs — one in our shower over tile and a trio of them on a rounded wall in our playroom. Their product is high quality, they have great design sense and installation went smoothly.

We just had shutters installed in our living room today by French Custom Shutters. They are beautiful, perform really well and are the unusual size of 5 ½″ slats which are very hard to find. Very professional installation and can’t beat the quality and craftsmanship of the shutters. The paint color on the wood shutters was matched perfectly to our window casings and totally enhanced the room’s atomsphere. They build them and install them. Very nice quality work all around. Pricing was comparable to other similar custom companys. We are very happy!
