Pj’s Car Wash Park

I’m changing my review because the business changed their machines. it had always been the best car wash at the shore. They for a short while had a machine that was sending cars out soapy they got a new one now the cars awesome again. The service is the best. They are again… The best car wash at the shore!

Oh how sad it truly is. This used to be one of my favorite car washes where they really cared and your car would show it. Now it’s barely a skeleton of giving a s#!@ And they are just running it on max speed and (i can only imagine) not maintaining their equipment.
It’s my fault for not reading the Unilocal reviews until after I wished my car well and saw it get super sudsed up choking on the white globs as if in it were caught in a blizzard. I was hoping it wouldn’t happen to me. It was after all a weekday at 3pm in the winter (regardless of it being 60 degrees).
Nope, it didn’t matter. Car had some initial dust and dirt removed but they royally messed up the windows with streaks and dirt (using the same rag they dry the car with). Soap still all over the car (as noted in so many recent Unilocal reviews) and a penchant for not caring.
The only reason they get two stars is I found a funny and inexpensive birthday card for my mom while paying.

Seem nice enough and friendly but I want my car cleaned the right way… these guys were horrible. Owners obviously do not care.

Went to this place today because my car was dirty. $ 24 later my car was still dirty. Paid for interior and exterior to be cleaned and what I got was dirty Windows, dirty rims and the worst vacuumed car. I went back and they did Clean the car again, but not with a attitude.

Great exterior wash and dry but stopped using them regularly because the interior is never cleaned. A convenient location, I used them exclusively for over a year, each time becoming more disappointed with the lack of interior cleaning and vacuuming. I mentioned the lack of quality vacuuming to the women behind the counter a few times: one gave me a blank look and offered no comment, another pointed to someone I could not locate to talk with but did not follow-​up so I left. The last time they failed to tape the back windshield wiper housing; I didn’t notice for a few days afterward. I had to buy a new unit from BMW – not cheap. When I raised that issue at the counter during my follow-​up visit, again I received a lack of response.

Best place in town for a car wash. The people are always polite and greet me with a smile. The price is great too.

Their rag jockeys thought I didn’t understand Spanish and called me insulting names in Spanish.
After paying $ 24.00 for their top tier car wash I had to go to another car wash to get my car cleaned. This was my second visit here in the last year. Like other reviewers I thought I would give them a second chance. Boy what a waste of money, time, damage done to my car and to have insults thrown at me in another language.

They drove my car with the doors open. This creates stress on the car door hinge and does damage. I was told that this was he way the «always do it» and that «nobody else» complains. Ok so I let them F-​up my door since they claim popular consensus makes it right so continued with the wash.
The clown who drove my car out of the wash gunned the gas. Yes it is a fast car, but some rag jockey should not be hot rodding in my hot rod. Even better he did it with the door open so when he had to slam on my breaks he made sure that he would do just a little extra damage to the door hinges.
The woman at the front desk seemed bothered by my patronage: not to worry honey I won’t be back.
My car came out covered in soap. My wheels were dirty. The carpet looks like the vacuum just barely touched it. My floor mats were soaking wet AND still had dirt on them AND were thrown on on the back seat, the suede back seat. I had to ask them to clean my rear windshield even though I paid for this; after a huff they did so.
The wiped down the drivers side of the car pretty well and motioned that they were done. I walked over to the passengers side and there was still soap all over the car. the old wiped down the top of that side and the windows thinking that I wouldn’t walk around the car. Wow! So the one guy ran up to me saying «Everything Ok? No problems? No problems?» I pointed to the side of the car and he hurried to clean it.
Now here is where it gets really fun. on the rear passenger door there is a black scuff mark with a dent about 2″ long. There was no dent when I drove up there so this dent happened between the time I handed them my keys and when I got the car back. Who should I report this to? The woman at the front desk who seemed bothered by me wanting to pay my bill?
I not only will never go to PJ’s Car Wash again, but I will make sure to tell everyone I can about what happened to me there today.

Too bad zero stars is not an option. Let me start by agreeing with most that PJs was a great car wash. One very important word… was. I have been a VIP club member for almost 10 years. Almost 2 years ago I noticed the quality beginning to fail. The WHEELS were no longer included in the full service wash package. Hard to believe this is possible but it is. They even admitted to the fact that the poodle tire brush is turned off for all VIP members. They claim they needed to make cutbacks on its use because it was breaking frequently… really? So aside from water hitting your tires and wheels they do not get cleaned unless you pay extra. First and only car wash to charge extra to wash wheels, not wheel cleaner and tire shine, just clean the damn wheels. Whats next, pay more for windshield to be clean? Complete ripoff. Wrote letter to manager and was told that they decided to make that decision and if I was not happy that I should not renew my membership. Wow, thanks for that wisdom. The problem is that they are one of the few carwashes that offer an unlimited use package and they feel they can do what they want and place the customer second. Just a matter of time before everyone realizes that they have made poor business decisions and choose another carwash.
P. S. The poodle brushes are the first brushes near the floor as the car enters the wash. If you are a VIP member, check to see how they do not spin for you. Ask the manager Marcus why they are off and tell him I said hi. BTW I did not renew

While yes it’s fairly affordable, Less than pleased with the service. I’ve gone here twice and this be the last time. The first time they did a very quick wipe down of the inside… No attention to detail. This time, same thing and I paid extra for the wheels/​rims for them to look like this! (Picture uploaded) Unreal. Will not be returning. Also the girls at the desk are less than friendly. The owner needs to address these issues.

They used to do a fantastic job, but lately it’s been rather mediocre. Need to tell them to vacuum better and actually wipe the dash. I received a 6 month unlimited wash membership. Unless they start improving I probably won’t be going back.

Shittiest car wash ever! They didn’t wipe offanything on the inside. The floors hardly looked vacuumed and the car was still dirty and half of it when I came out. So disappointed!

I’ve gone a couple of time because I was given a gift card. It is a very efficiently run business, which definitely benefits the owners more so than its customers. The exterior wash is satisfactory, but the rushing during the interior process results in a less than adequate job. I have a car seat which i before hand tightened the straps out of the way to make it easier for vacuuming yet after, the car seat looked untouched. Also where the carpet upholstery meets the side well in the rear was lined with crumbs and dirt that should’ve easily been vacuumed if the nozzle was placed anywhere near it. If you go, go for the exterior wash. If you expect the interior to be adequately cleaned you’ll be disappointed. Then again most people who go are too lazy to clean the inside of their cars anyway, so it still ends up being cleaner than if they hadn’t gone at all.

I used to go with my mom to PJ’s since I was a little girl and then when I got my license I took my own car too however over the last couple years the service has gone severely downhill. Today I went and it was so rushed. They didn’t vacuum my car, which I paid for, and there were wet marks all across my back seat from a sloppy rushed job cleaning my windows. I have rubber mats and they were SOPPING wet when I got back into my car – I’m assuming they chose to do this because it was quicker instead of just vacuuming (even though I paid for it). I don’t think I will never go back again– this is the second time I’ve had subpar results, I’d rather just do it myself.

Locked my car with the key in it. Awful. The snow still on the car. They just pushed my car out of tunnel and left me outside with my problems

Too long of a wait for an expensive and a less of a mediocre job. I tried it twice just to be sure. My second visit confirmed that I will not be going back.

Best car wash around with very reasonable prices. My car is always treated with care. I have been to other car wash parks where it comes out like it looked going in. Not at PJs! Do yourself a favor and wait in line to get the best wash down the shore!

First time here, last time here. What a poor, sloppy job. The 5.00 car wash back in CA was better than this. Won’t go back again.

Just do yourself a favor and don’t go here. Asked for an exterior and interior wash only to have the exterior washed plus the windshield on the inside. Also asked (and paid!!!) for them to clean my carpets and seats which were not done. Everything on the inside was left as it was when i went, could have just gone through a $ 5 car wash instead of paying a lot more to have nothing done to my car.

2^nd time going through and getting expensive exterior wash, only to notice the car is almost as dirty coming out as it was going in. Complete waste of time and money. Have to still clean it myself.
