Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

At first I was a bit hesitant to come in for a back massage because they don’t have a lounge area and showers. But I was entirely impressed by the back massage that I received from Jenna. She told me exactly what I needed to do and just how knotty my back really was. I will come back rather than go to the Spa that I usually go to and has become way too crowded. I think that you have to be clear about what you want performed. Awesomeness!

Leean gives an amazing facial. Fantastic results and a relaxing experience. And if you need a relaxing massage it is the place to go.

Wow… had a massage this morning and am still on a high. thanks Denise for a wonderful and firm massage. She got all the kinks out! I loved how she angled head of massage table higher so my sinus could clear up… no therapist has ever done that before for me. :-)

Went for the first time as a birthday treat to myself and will now be a regular!!! I am not the pampered type, but John S. has shown me the light when it comes to massage therapy. The word therapy: key.

I go here at least every other week. Everyone is so nice and all the masseuses are pretty good, but the one who i think is the best is Ally i’ve had her a few times and everytime it’s been amazing

Roberta is an amazing masseuse! I’ve visited many spas in NYC and around the world… she is fabulous and can adjust the pressure as necessary. She has an intuitive approach and gets out all the knots. She is also very professional and friendly. Hand & Stone is a peaceful, quick & easy place to have a massage. I highly recommend Roberta.

I regret ever stepping foot in this place. They want you to sign up for a monthly membership and say you can use it anywhere. We set up an account under my husband and they said I could use it as a guest. WHen I went to use it, they instead created another account for me without my permission and charged me again! Then when I was told our account went inactive I left it alone but instead they kept charging us monthly then despite lying about the account refused to credit us back and tried to bully us into using the credits. They are shady and something is not right about how they handle credit cards and accounts.

I’ve been here many times for the massages and I have only found one masseuse that does an amazing job. Her name is Bonnie. A couple of the other masseuses I have had in the past were absolutely awful. If you are someone who likes medium-​hard pressure, make sure you go to Bonnie! She is absolutely amazing, and actually cares about her clients, my whole family loves her! She actually knows what she is talking about, whereas some of the other people I have had don’t seem to know how to get knots out, etc. I have bad back problems, and have seen significant improvements after going to Bonnie. I cannot thank her enough!
Some of the others have just ignored me when I asked for more pressure (even after asking multiple times), and I have also noticed that many times my massage was cut short, which I was not happy about. If you want a real massage, go to Bonnie. If not, you’re probably going to get someone who lightly pats your back for 50 minutes.
I have also gone there for waxing, and I have always had great outcomes with the exception of my last visit. I went for eyebrow waxing and had a girl that I never had before. She kind of ignored me when I asked her to fix the shape of my eyebrow and seemed like she didn’t really know what she was doing. Usually when I go for eyebrow waxing, it takes about 15 minutes or so, which is nice because they talk to you and make sure you like what they did. But this time I was only in there for about 3 minutes and the girl barely even talked to me. When I got home and looked in the mirror I saw that it looked like I didn’t even get waxed. I was very disappointed. Like I said, I have only had one bad experience with the waxing, hopefully it will never happen again! If Daniella is still there, go to her, she always did an amazing job!

I am an Aesthetician and Massage Therapist residing in Southern California. I visited the Jersey Shore and decided to schedule a Foot Scrub and Reflexology at Hand & Stone… since I had visited a location in Huntington Beach and was very pleased with the treatments I received that day. Here, my practitioner, Jess, was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. She had a great touch… and integrated hot towels into the treatment which made it really feel divine. If I lived in the area, I would definitely be back… again and again.

Had a gift certificate from my daughter for a facial which was supposed to be 50 minutes, however it only lasted 30 minutes. The next day I woke up with a huge stye in my eye, had to have been from there. When I called they were very unconcerned about the situation. With so many, really nice Spas in this area no need to go to this one.

Leeann gave me a great facial the other day. Very knowledgable with the skin care line and what works best for my skin. I will definitely be back to see her.

I had a one hour facial with Susan today and was so happy with the entire experience. Susan was very knowledgeable and professional and provided a wonderful experience. I like the products that Hand & Stone uses for their services. Pleasant front desk staff and clean facilities.
I look forward to my next visit.

Its big, very clean, masseuses are fabulous and first time massages are about $ 50 which is an amazing value!
Yes, I was skeptical of this franchise fearing I would be pressured into buying a «membership» but it was not like that at all! The paperwork about memberships is available if you are interested, if not there is no mention or pressure towards memberships.
I mistakenly thought the introductory Hand and Stone offer was a kind of ploy to get you in the door for a hard «membership» sell — like the way time shares do it BUT it is not like that at all!
Seriously, great value for a professional massage. I will be back!

The atmosphere here is cool and calming. Inside the massage room the lighting and ambience is very relaxing. There are almost no ambient noises that disturb your session. Both times during my session I nodded in/​out of dreamworld a few times as the massages were very relaxing. There is certainly no funny-​business here that you might hear of or worry abou when attending a «massage parlor.» A definite recommend if you are looking for the massage experience.
